Rica comida y abundante. Mejoraría la atención porque se demoraron un poco en tomarnos el pedido habiendo poca gente y en llevarnos la cuenta. Pero lo demás todo bien! Excelente! Y rico!

Seriously one of the best subs I have had in a long time! I got the pineapple beef sub and I highly recommend, the pineapple adds such a unique flavour to the sub. Also the bun was soo soft!

A great location in the city core with good food at good pricing.

Food is fresh and reasonably priced. Portions are a good size, and lots of options available from Vietnamese classics to Boba Tea.

Getting seated and ordering is quick and easy. Wait times can be a little long depending on time of day and peak hours, but not unreasonable.

Atmosphere is clean, warm and quaint. Smaller venue with seating available or takeout.

Overall, would recommend. Delicious food, at decent pricing.

As a Vietnamese traveller, I was seriously impressed by the Phở here—rich, aromatic broth with perfectly cooked beef and fresh herbs. The flavor is truly authentic, just like back home. Easily the best Phở in town. The Vietnamese milk coffee was also excellent—strong, smooth, and perfectly sweetened. Thank you for bringing the true taste of Vietnamese cuisine to the world. A must-visit for anyone craving real Vietnamese flavors in Calgary must-visit spot for anyone craving real Vietnamese taste in Calgary.

Walked in not knowing it was a vegan restaurant and wow it was great. The food was delicious and better than many meat vietnamese dishes I’ve had elsewhere. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Great value for money and large portions.

A great vegan restaurant in Calgary! Delicious vegan pho and rice noodle bowls with tofu made in-house. Would highly recommend, especially their mixed bowls!

Thank you Alex for explaining how the tofu is made in-house. It was great to learn about the whole process which takes days to make and they take great pride in their tofu! It clearly shows and tastes amazing!!

Best vegan/vegetarian vermicelli I’ve ever had! Loved this place since being recommended there 2020 by a friend saying it was a great meal to take and eat in the park. This pic is what she sent me and I was sold because she’s a certified foodie!

I’ve not lived in Calgary since 2021 but it will be my first and last stop the next time in there. I recommend it to anyone going to Calgary and one time had someone drive it to me in Edmonton and it was still good!

I usually ordered it to go but the one time I dined in it was a delight

11/10 recommend!

If you order delivery call them directly instead of the apps, very good service

Foodie alert! This could be the definition of hole in the wall place. Located at the back of a hotel, not visible by the street and we loved it. They do have loyal followers for sure. If your expectations are fancy or typical diner it will not meet those expectations. It’s exactly what you should and would expect with Thai food, spicy, bright, sweet, savory a bit overwhelmingly salty for me. Expect to sweat if youre weakness is spice, however you can ask for mild but then you’ll just take the fun and experience out of the dish. I asked for mild

I stopped by White Elephant and tried their Beef Pad Thai and Thai Iced Tea. The Pad Thai was quite flavourful with lots of sauce. Noodles were pretty good and there was plenty of peanut flavour. Overall, I’d give it 8.5/10 (sauce felt a bit too much halfway through for me).

I’ve tried to contact the Okotoks location after picking up my order which was made wrong and no one is answering the phone. There is no email to reach out to either. So I’m making this review. I requested a dish with no onions or peppers due to intolerance. It’s on my bill. And as you see in the photo. It’s full of onions. It’s written in red, how is it ignored?

We came here for dinner a while ago based on several recommendations from others on a group. Boy were we disappointed.

The biggest first red flag was the empty parking lot at 6:30pm. When we walked in, the atmosphere was absolutely not one of a restaurant: the entrance area was very cluttered with random supplies and furniture, and you had to flag someone down from the kitchen to seat you. The dining area was in the back whereas everything else was at the front, which was a little strange.

Despite only four other people dining in there, service was non-existant. Once they give you everything you ordered, they will never come back again to check on you. Be prepared to get water refills and take out containers yourself.

The only decent dishes we got were the papaya salad and coconut rice. He found that both the chicken curry and sweet and sour stir-fry with shrimps were on the sweet side; they also came with too much peppers and tofu.

We had to go out to the front and flag someone down from the kitchen to pay our bill. The restaurant seemed like it was run by a family who is new to the industry, given it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had.

This place is the absolute best. Nestled away in the back of a Motel is the best Thai spot in the city. Portions are large, and all dishes are balanced and flavourful. Have liked everything so far, especially the Ginger Stir fry – great ginger flavour with a balance of Thai spices. Mango salad is refreshing and perfect to balance out the spice. All the curries are excellent! Cannot go wrong with this place! Service is quick and efficient!

I was heavily recommended White Elephant from a friend who couldn’t stop raving about it. I’ve ordered delivery a few times now and I agree, it’s top tier. Not only the flavour, but the generosity of the business in portion sizes. I feel like shrinkflation has hit everything except for White Elephant. Their Red Curry is served in a large bowl, and it’s perfectly spiced to not be uncomfortable but to enhance the flavour of the dish. Their food feels very healthy and full of crisp veggies and that shows pride and hospitality in their cooking. Even the coconut rice is filled to the brim in the take out container. It emotes a feeling of warm hospitality towards their customers which is hard to find these days. Great job I will be ordering often!!!

The interior of the restaurant is serviceable. The most unique feature being the window into the distillery floor. You can order and pay directly from your phone or the service staff will take your order. The service itself was adequate. The papaya salad at medium spice was quite spicy. We would have preferred that the peanuts be ground or chopped rather than being whole/halved to infuse the sauce with more of a peanut taste. As well a little thin slicing of the components would have been nicer. The deep fried fish was very good and probably our favourite dish. Nicely battered and fried and a decent spiciness. The noodles we ordered Thai spicy but after the salad, it didn’t really seem that spicy. The noodles were also very good with a strong basil taste. We were quite full afterward but look forward to going back and trying the skewers and a curry.

This is my new favourite restaurant and will now be a part of my family’s regular circuit of restaurants we visit! We’ve been to other Thai restaurants in Calgary but they aren’t in the same league. They have a small, focused, and delicious menu. The food has been consistently so good each time we’ve gone. This was our second time back since we discovered this place existed in Calgary. Will have to come back to try other dishes. Portion sizes are large and we always end up ordering more than we can eat. I would recommend making reservations before going as they are a smaller restaurant and their kitchen closes down after a certain time. I also recommend ordering a side of coconut rice to pair with the curry and the crispy fish.

Great-tasting Thai food with authentic flavors—definitely one of the highlights. Portion sizes are average, and the restaurant is clean and tidy. I was pleasantly surprised to see complimentary baby diapers provided in both restrooms—a thoughtful touch for families.

However, the service left a bit to be desired. One of our party members had hot water accidentally spilled on them, and while the server said it was just warm, an apology would have been appreciated. Ordering is done via a QR code at the table, and you’re required to pay and tip before receiving your food, which felt a bit unusual and transactional.

Overall, good food but some room for improvement in the service experience.

Thai Siam is our favourite restaurant for Thai food. We keep going back at least once a month to have dinner there. Staff is really nice. We love El who has been our server most times. She’s super nice and also guide us what to get when we were there for the first time. We have tried Thai in other places too but Thai Siam is the best among all.

Wow, wow, wow! I was visiting my family in Calgary this past week, and my cousin insisted we go to this restaurant. At first, I thought, «Alright, let’s give it a shot.»

The restaurant had such a welcoming and warm atmosphere. We ordered a few dishes that my family recommended, and the food came out quickly. I was absolutely thrilled with the flavors of everything we tried.

Two dishes stood out as my all-time favorites. First, the chicken satay skewers—huge, juicy, and full of flavor. It’s rare to find a restaurant that doesn’t skimp on portion sizes these days due to high costs, but this place definitely delivered. We were more than happy to pay for such generous portions!

Second, the deep-fried fish was incredible, and once again, the portion was massive!

I will definitely be coming back whenever I’m in Calgary. Highly recommend!

Amazing Thai food! I love the Khao Soi is definitely the highlight. I loved how it tasted- a little sweet but loaded with coconut flavour.
Portions are on the bigger size, so be cautious of over ordering. It’s definitely not the end of the world, if you do. It’ll be a delicious take home meal.
The pad Thai is also amazing. The flavour is very authentic.
Thai iced tea is also good, but I’m not a fan of whipped cream on top.
The turmeric ginger drink is very refreshing. Reservation is highly recommended.

Love the huge portions! We couldn’t finish and got to have it again for another meal.

We got the spicy fish and pad thai. They were all really good. The sauce that went with the fish was good and not too spicy and the fish was the right amount of crunch.

This place is located beside a distillery, so we had to try their gin flights.

We ended with dessert which was a mango sticky rice. I didn’t like that as much but the company I was with did.

Went for their Thai Stampede breakfast and was super impressed! With a MASSIVE lineup, they were efficient, had entertainment, delivered cherries to the line, and served a good portion of diverse foods, at least for the promised time frame (not sure if they had to cut the line at some point… I left and it was still snaking!). Made such a good impression I’ll definitely be back and heard others say the same! Stampede breakfasts can’t be easy and they did a great job.

Absolutely the best Thai restaurant in Calgary. Spicy, but so delicious and addictive. The green curry is a must-try, and the pad Thai was incredible as well. I had seafood this time, but they’ve also kindly substituted tofu for me in the past when I said I don’t eat meat. You can ask for mild if you prefer less heat.

The coconut ice cream was a lovely surprise. It was rich, creamy and refreshing. I’d love to come back regularly. The service was great too.

Decided to check this out due to its high rankings for Thai food in this city and I must say, they deserve it! Their service and the food presentation was top notch. I have so much to say but to summarize, it’s a wonderful place to have some Thai food. Sadly, they do not have some of my favorite meals like the basil fried rice and cream cheese wontons which I wanted to try.

Cons
– the QR codes on the table do not work, takes you to a dummy site
-the deep fried pork spring rolls were mostly veggies, could barely taste the meat. (Check inserted picture)

Jurees Thai Palace is the ultimate experience for Thai fine dining. From the atmosphere to the service to the food, I don’t have a single complaint.

One thing that Jurees does well is the meal presentation. The radish ‘florets’, the carrot ‘leafs’, the mango dessert ‘flowers’ add a classy touch to the meal,

The last time we went there were 3 birthdays. The staff sang happy birthday for all of them. The staff are professional and personable.

The shareable aspect of the dishes makes the meals affordable and the variety you can get makes the experience unique.

My partner and daughter are big fans of Jurees. My first time dining here, and first impression arriving, this place is bursting with atmosphere. The decorations are a bit tacky, but fun, especially for a family with younger children (under 13).
The service was great; attentive with water refills (maybe a bit too attentive) and consistent check-ins on our satisfaction.
The food was okay. The green curry was delicious and easily a 5, full of flavor and easily recommended. But, the pad thai was underwhelming and the crispy pork was disappointing (not crispy enough and the fat was rubbery). The Pink Ladies were good but were also lacking flavor. The Thai dumplings were a treat for the eyes and were unique and tasty with an interesting texture.
Overall a great place to dine as a family, but if you are looking for an out of this world dining experience, keep looking.
The free birthday ice-cream for my 10 year old was a nice end to dinner. Very sweet (the ice-cream and the gesture).
Recommend.

Authentic Thai food and potentially the best in town. I’m Thai and have unbelievably high standard for food and I’m telling you this place is legit. Carved vegetable on the side. Impressive. Just don’t order the papaya salad. Great service. Timely and attentive. Would come again.

Such a fun little eclectic restaurant! Lots of interesting decor. I love that it makes you feel some place else – even if it’s just for an hour. The staff were super attentive – absolutely no complaints! The food was delicious and plentiful! The pan-nang curry with prawn was spot on. We tried a new dish, their fish special (fish with tamarind sauce) was delicious and would highly recommend. Huge portion of coconut rice, thank you…much appreciated! This was our first visit and we will definitely be making Juree’s a part of our regular rotation.

The food was amazing! I was craving pad Thai and decided to come here on a whim.
It’s decorated beautifully and the service was outstanding. I have to be careful about gluten, but they had a good amount of options for gluten free.
I got calamari, crying tiger and coconut ice cream.
We also shared pad Thai and the papaya salad.
I could never find a place that makes it better than my mom. I will say it was just as good.
All in all, it became one of my favourite places. Can’t wait to come back.

Had an excellent dinner a few days ago. Food was terrific, one serving can actually feed 2-3 persons. Pad Thai is a must. The chicken was tasty, and the appetizer was filling.

This cozy, family-run Thai spot delivered a genuinely authentic dining experience. The flavours were bold, balanced, and comforting, exactly what you’d hope for from a good Thai meal. We tried several dishes, but the standout for me was the Pad Thai. It was perfectly seasoned and not overly sweet. The calamari had a great crisp without being greasy.

The service was warm and welcoming, and you could tell there was real pride behind the food. The only downside was the parking. It’s not the easiest to navigate, especially during peak times. But honestly, the food and hospitality more than made up for it.

Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. The service was really good, fast and the food was incredible. The ambience was amazing. There was nice music playing, and the atmosphere is just really good. Our waitress was really nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for delicious Thai food with great service and ambience!!

I am disappointed. I moved to the area recently and wanted to try new restaurants around.
I love Pad Thai and specifically searched for a restaurant with good Pad Thai.
I ordered one dish Pad Thai for takeout. When I got home and was disappointed at the size of the serving and the dryness of the pad thai. Granted there was a small container of sauce but certainly not to Great Taste.
Although the food did taste reasonably good but certainly not the best that I have tasted in pad thai. I didn’t feel it was worth the $20 whereas I recently bought Cantonese chow mein for $5 less and twice the quantity.

We’ve been searching for a Thai place since we moved to the area and this place has beat out every other one we’ve tried. Food was excellent, atmosphere and service was exceptional and even though they were busy (make reservation if you are going on a weekend) our food was out quick! We will definitely be back!

Tried out Yim Siam Thai Street Food for a Friday dinner. Service was friendly; water jugs dropped at our table and they asked for spice level (mild, medium, hot). Medium had no heat.

– Mojito ($8.30)
– Thai milk tea ($5.30)
– Coconut rice ($3.90)
– Chicken satays ($12.30 for 4)
– BBQ pork sticky rice ($11.30 for 3)
– Yum woon sen ($18.80) – good flavours
– Green curry with beef ($17.50) – standard fare
– Roasted duck curry ($18.50) – liked this more
– Spicy crispy fish ($22.80) – wasn’t crispy. Nowhere close to Thai Siam’s version
– Hoi tod ($21.30) – unmemorable
– Haw mok pla ($18.80) – steamed basa in banana leaf was unique. Favourite dish
– Drunken noodle with pork ($17.50) – nice bite

One of our fave Thai restaurants in the city. Authentic flavours and spices are used! We haven’t tried anything here that we’ve been disappointed by. Our faves are the laab moo, tom yum, red curry, pork jowl, and BBQ pork skewers. Highly recommend trying them out! They have options that can’t be found at other Thai restaurants too!

Amazing food !!
Tried a few dishes and everything was great. Really good value for the prices. Service was super friendly and quick and it was cute inside.
The crispy pork wontons were my favourite thing but everything was perfect. Spring rolls were extra crisp, satay chicken cooked perfectly and had a nice tasting sauce. I really liked the pad see eaw which we ordered with chicken. Thai iced coffee was smooth and sweet.
Portion sizes for the main noodle dishes were generous.

Amazing Thai Experience at Auttarote!
Just had a fantastic meal at Auttarote Thai Cuisine and I’m so impressed! The vibrant decorations and stylish ambiance immediately caught my eye – the place just feels alive. My waitress was incredibly helpful and recommended the Flowers dish, which was absolutely divine. Seriously, it was so good! You can tell they’re detail-oriented in everything they do, from the presentation of the food to the overall atmosphere. A truly memorable dining experience. I’ll definitely be back!

I had never tried Thai food before, but I decided to check this place out with a coworker, and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, but what really stood out for me were the drinks and the flour dumplings. The service was excellent; our waitress was kind and super helpful. I’d definitely love to come back. The atmosphere is also a big plus, bright, colorful, and full of good energy.

How could I be in Calgary and not try Thai food?!
We visited one of the best Thai spots in town — and wow, everything from the decor to the lighting transported me straight to Thailand

Even though we arrived just before closing (flew in from different provinces!), the staff were so warm and welcoming. it did not disappoint!

The basil rice, red curry, and every single dish was full of flavor
The coconut ice cream & mango sticky rice? Chef’s kiss
Hands down, a must-visit! Highly recommend if you’re in Calgary.

Auttarote Thai Cuisine in Calgary is a must-visit for authentic Thai flavors. The Tom Yum soup was a standout—bold, tangy, and perfectly spiced. The Pad Thai was flavorful and perfectly balanced, while the green curry with coconut rice was rich, aromatic, and comforting. The satay chicken skewers were tender with a delicious peanut sauce. Their signature Auttarote Flower—a beautifully crafted dish made with pork and fish sauce—was unique and full of flavor. We finished with the mango sticky rice, which was sweet, creamy, and refreshing. The sticky rice was actually heart shaped.Every dish was thoughtfully presented, and the service was warm and attentive. A must-visit spot for authentic, beautifully made Thai cuisine in the city.

I had high hopes for this place from all the reviews and insta posts about this restaurant. The decor was very colourful, giving the North Eastern Thai vibe. The presentation of the food was very nice but sadly that was it. The taste of the food was below average and definitely not worth the price. We ordered the Auttarote Flower dumplings. It was beautiful to look at, but that is as far it goes. It was actually pretty chewy and lacked any kind of flavour and the filling was barely there. Nothing tasted bad, but nothing stood out either. Our order for two people came up to $110 (before tips). I guess you are paying more for the beautiful presentations (and the rose buds!), and a chance to take instagram worthy photo. If you’re looking more for the dining experience and decors then it is worth a visit. The service was really nice and the food came out pretty quick though. Definitely not worth a second visit atleast for us.

I have been wanting to check this place out from seeing the reviews and the photos. We came here for a date night. I was quite excited about the decors. It was very eclectic and colourful, giving the North Eastern Thai vibe. Some of the food arrangements were beautiful and came decorated with rose buds! All the photos taken here were instagram worthy! However, in terms of flavours, it was just so so. We ordered the Auttarote Flower dumplings. It was beautiful to look at, but that is as far it goes. It was actually pretty chewy and lacking flavour. We also ordered the Moo Yang skewers, Tom Kha soup, Hoi Tod pancake, ginger lover stir fried, sticky rice, and mango sticky rice. Nothing tasted bad, but nothing stood out either. The food flavour was probably equivalent to any other authentic North American Thai restaurants, but the price tag was higher than a typical Thai place. Our order for two people came up to $120ish (before tips). I guess you are paying more for the beautiful presentations (and the rose buds!), and a chance to take instagram worthy photos. Next time if I am craving the typical Thai food, I’ll probably just hit the nearest Thai restaurant to me. If you’re looking more for the dining experience and decors then it is worth a visit. In terms of service, we came on the weekend and as it got busier the service slowed down as there were only two waiters for the entire place. At the end we got billed for a tea that we didn’t order. It was ordered by the table next door. Since it was busy and we didn’t want to wait for the waiter to rectify the bill we just paid and left.

What a fantastic spot! The service at Autarote Thai Cuisine was superb, everyone was so kind and attentive, especially Joy, who was incredibly sweet and welcoming.

I had the red Thai curry with tofu, spring rolls, and the Emerald Crush drink, everything was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The drink was especially refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal.

Can’t wait to come back and try more. Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious Thai food with amazing service!

Incredible food and service at Thai Bistro – Authentic Thai Cuisine!
We had an outstanding dining experience at Thai Bistro – Authentic Thai Cuisine. Every dish we ordered was bursting with authentic flavors and cooked to perfection. The green chicken curry was rich, creamy, and beautifully spiced. The pad Thai with beef had a perfect mix of savory and sweet, with tender beef and fresh noodles.

The Thai ton yum hot pot with seafood was a highlight—packed with fresh shrimp, squid, and mussels in a flavorful, spicy broth. We also loved the snack platter with crispy spring rolls and perfectly pan-fried pot stickers—great textures and taste.

Drinks were just as impressive: the coconut milkshake was smooth and refreshing, the Thai milk tea had that classic sweet and bold flavor, and the mango milkshake was fruity and creamy—absolutely delicious.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Highly recommend Thai Bistro if you’re looking for authentic, high-quality Thai food. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Mediocre thai food, you can find better elsewhere. Used to be great years ago. Now tastes more like chinese food rather authentic thai cuisine. Pad thai was overly sweet, pad see ew was lacking in flavor, no wok hei, poor caramelization as you can see by the color. Mango salad was decent, good flavor but overripe mango and small portion, half the container was garnish. Deep fried tilapia was good, though they gave curry sauce instead of chili sauce. Tom yum was really good, probably the only thing i would recommend but i ordered nam kon tom yum so it should be creamy, they forgot to add coconut/evaporated milk or something.

I visited Thai Bistro yesterday and I’m so glad I did. The customer service was perfect and me and my friend were instantly made to feel welcome. We both had the Tofu Pad Thai with spring rolls and they were fantastic. We were asked about the level of hotness we wanted and when asking for Tofu the staff member double checked if we were vegan or ok with egg. We also ordered Thai milk tea which was just the right level of sweetness.
Thank you for your amazing service!

Food: it was tasty, but way too spicy for a «mild». Portion is on the small side and when I ordered Red Curry server said «it comes with rice on the side» but charged me $4 for a small bowl of rice, felt like too much.

Service: amazing. Server was super friendly, messed up the order but kitchen fixed it incredibly fast and she was apologetic about it.

Their drinks are tasty, I recommend the mango coconut something, summery and delicious.

Overall it was a good experience but I don’t think I’ll go out of my way to go back.

Ordered this with Uber eats, got the pad Thai, the tamarind chicken, and the crying cowboy ribs.
The takeout boxes are so pretty, they make you excited to eat! 5 stars for the box choice!! The food itself was delicious. We worried the portions were going to be too small, but they were really filling. Our only critic was the portion size for the crying cowboy ribs. It was small. There were only 4 small pieces in the container. Maybe we just wanted more because they were so tasty.

Some restaurants focus on Northern Thai cuisine, known for its use of pork and fermented ingredients, while others specialize in Southern Thai food, which is known for its fiery curries and seafood.

What are the most popular Thai dishes to try in Calgary?

Several dishes consistently rank as popular choices. Pad Thai, the stir-fried rice noodle dish, is a universal favorite. Green Curry and Red Curry are also incredibly popular, showcasing creamy coconut milk and aromatic spices. How spicy is Thai food, and can I request it to be less spicy?

Thai food is known for its heat, but the level of spiciness can vary significantly. Many restaurants use a scale to indicate spice levels, typically ranging from "mild" to "extra hot." Almost all Thai restaurants are very accommodating and are happy to adjust the spice level to your preference. Simply ask for "less spicy" or specify a particular level when ordering. It’s a very common request.

What are some common ingredients I might find in Thai dishes?

Expect to encounter a range of flavorful ingredients. Coconut milk is used extensively in curries and desserts. Fish sauce provides a salty, umami flavor. Lime juice adds a refreshing acidity. These combine to create the complex and delicious flavor profiles characteristic of Thai cuisine.

Thai desserts are often unique and visually appealing. Mango Sticky Rice, mentioned previously, is a must-try. Other popular choices include Khanom Krok (coconut pancakes), Ruam Mit (mixed dessert with different jellies and fruits), and Tub Tim Krob (water chestnut pomelo).
