My experience with dentists since I moved to calgary over 20 years ago has been less than stellar, but the whole team at crescent heights is beyond exceptional. Best experience I’ve had all the way from reception, to hygienist, to dentist. Please tell me I am not the only adult who’s still afraid of seeing dentists, therefore, I’ve been waited for 5-6 years until I found Crescent height Dental. I’ve done 2 appts with them already, one was tooth removal, and another one was teeth cleaning.
The entire clinic has a welcoming environment and makes me feel safe and comfortable there. Like what I’ve mentioned, it took me 6 years to make the decision to go see a dentist again to get my teeth cleaned. I was panicking the very first, Aileen, the Dental Hygienist, calmed me down by using her humours. She also ensured to keep checking in with me throughout the entire cleaning process to apply on-time anesthetic on my sensitive gum.

My first time visiting the dental clinic was to get my cracked tooth removed. Dr. Genevieve Braganza and Jessica also made me feel the tooth removal was not as terrifying as what I imagined.

I’ve been to other dental practices over the years with my kids (this being the third in Calgary) and I have to say this clinic is exceptional! I needed a clinic that direct billed a very specific plan and they were one of the few that did so. The dentist dealt with my kids in a very approachable manner and made sure to ask for my input in regards to their dental care. They even accommodate evening appointments so I don’t have to pull my kids out of school early to disrupt their learning. Most other clinics close by 3pm. This is so awesome!

Compassionate, Efficient Emergency Dental Care at Pathways Dental Clinic

I didn’t have a regular dentist when I started experiencing unbearable tooth pain. After reading reviews, I chose Pathways Dental Clinic because it was close to home—and I’m so glad I did.

From the very first call, the team was kind, professional, and incredibly responsive. They managed to fit me in the same day for x-rays and an initial assessment. I was told I needed six teeth removed—including four wisdom teeth and two impacted upper teeth.

Dr. Kim was excellent. He took the time to clearly explain the situation, answered all of my questions, and offered sedation options to help with the procedure. I chose not to use sedation, and even so, I felt completely supported and comfortable throughout the entire process.

Just two days later, I returned for the extraction. The procedure took about an hour, and Dr. Kim and his assistant were attentive and caring, constantly checking in to ensure I was okay. Their calm and professional approach made a huge difference.

During my healing process, I experienced some pain that had me a little worried. I called the clinic to ask if what I was feeling was normal, and they made room for me to come in the same day—on a Saturday—to be seen by the dentist. It was incredibly reassuring to be taken seriously and cared for so promptly.

The aftercare instructions and healing products were clear and helpful, and overall, my recovery went very smoothly. The staff is incredibly friendly, kind, and genuinely take really good care of you.

So we’re not allowed to be involved in other people’s files unless it’s to give them money?? Bye

I’ve come in several times in the past three months and consistently received high quality care experience from the team at Springbank Dental. Front end staff are always welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I was very impressed with the quality and precision of work I had done. Everyone who has looked after me had made sure my experience was as comfortable as possible. Dr. Woo has great positive energy, goes to great lengths to explain the procedure, and really lightens the atmosphere for what can often be a very tense experience for some. My 4 yr old loves coming here for his cleaning and check ups!

Springbank Dental Center really has it together in terms of insurance and not pushing unneeded procedures. It took my family years to find a place like this. It’s a breath of fresh air having a place that can actually process a claim. It’s also nice having a place that’s not constantly telling us that we need braces, root canals, extractions, and other potentially life altering procedures that we don’t need. Until we found this place dentists were a complete nightmare.
The one con would be that I wish they had online booking.

When it comes to select a dentist, people are always being cautious, serious, and picky about the location, parking, and the environment of the dental office, and also the price, the equipment, the customer service, and most importantly the quality of the dental treatment! They would like to spend a huge amount of the time to try to find a best one for their loved ones! I am a picky guy too. So, today I am very happy to share with you that I have located and finally found one of the best dentists in Calgary after 4 months researching. I really wish I could do one review for each visit!

1. Location: it is very convenient location just minutes away walking distance from the C-Train station if you need to use, and very easy to locate it.

2. Parking: easy find parking spot at the back of the building with a lot of availabilities.

3. Environment: the dental office is very spacious, clean, and comfortable with the contemporary style and decoration. There are about 11 clinical areas equipped with the most updated technology, and best of it, are many small but very humanized design to help the patients feel more relaxing, calm and less stress. Just one example from them: the TV is mounted not only on the wall as normal, but it is also mounted on the ceiling! How thoughtful and sweet is that! When you lie down for the treatment, you are still able to watch the TV. I have been to many dental offices, but this is the first time seeing that! Try to imagine if you son or daughter came here and they were nervous at the beginning, but after they saw the ceiling TV that they could literally continue watching during the treatment, how happy and relaxing they would be!

4. Reception: amiable, helpful, and polite receptionist. Megan did a fantastic job to settle me down and register into the system. After that, she sent a link to me to continue the registration process with all the required personal info. She was very nice to fill me in a cancelled appointment to get my filling done quickly. Thank you very much Megan and everyone who helped.

5. Quality of service:
• My cleaning was done by Nancy. She welcomed me and walked me into the clinical area. And explained what the next steps she was going to do. Very patient, and clear on that. I was very satisfied about her job. Very detailed, careful, thorough, patient, and painless. Thank you very much Nancy. Also, wanted to thank you very much to Stephanie and Diane (forgive me if the spelling was not correct) for their help too.
• Both Dr. Luke and Dr. Joey were excellent and professional! They are so nice, kind, knowledgeable, amiable, skillful, and most importantly handsome They did such an amazing job. They were always caring about if I was comfortable during the treatment, and asked me if there was any pain or sensitive needed to be aware or stop… Very thoughtful and caring! Thank you so much Dr. Luke and Dr. Joey!
• Great communication channel: once the appointment was made, there is an email notice sent out to you as a reminder. If there is any cancellation, reception would quickly contact you to see if you are OK to be filled in. Very open and clear communication. Most impressively, they are always following up to call you to see if you are OK after the treatment! Very responsible and thoughtful! Thank you very much!

6. Knowledge upgrade: I learned a lot of things that I did not know before. Such as Acidity Index of Common Mouthwashes & Abrasiveness Index of Common Toothpastes handout. They are extremely important to our daily oral care. Very happy to know that! In addition, I have been receiving an oral health educational article through my email every week, which is another amazing experience from them as well!

No doubt and question that we will continue coming back! They would be our designated dental office for sure. Highly recommended! If you are not so happy with your current dentist, please come to try with Springbank Dental Centre! Trust me you won’t be disappointed.

I had a great experience with Dr. Joey Woo and his team. From the moment I arrived, everyone was welcoming and professional. The clinic is clean, modern, and very well organized. I felt truly cared for and confident in the treatment I received. I highly recommend.

Disappointing Experience with Dr. Robertson.
 I hadn’t been to the dentist in a couple years due to a lack of insurance, and returning was already a bit intimidating.

Unfortunately, my visit with Dr. Robertson was far from reassuring. I found his tone to be condescending and dismissive. At one point, he asked if I «grind my teeth.» I told him that if I do, it’s likely in my sleep—something I wasn’t aware of, especially since no other dentist has ever brought it up. He repeatedly told me I «abuse» my teeth, which came across as insensitive and discouraging—especially considering this is not something I can control.
 Several of his comments left me feeling uncomfortable and judged, rather than supported. It was not a welcoming or compassionate experience, and I left feeling discouraged about returning.

That said, I do want to acknowledge that the hygienist was very kind and helpful. She made an effort to explain things clearly and treated me with patience and respect, which I really appreciated.

I had a fantastic experience at my dentist’s office! Lisa was my hygienist and she was absolutely amazing—super friendly, gentle, and thorough. She made me feel comfortable the entire time and explained everything clearly.The whole team was professional and welcoming. Highly recommend!

My Dental Clinic was able to schedule an appointment to fit my time for dental cleaning. Melissa did a thorough and good clean of my teeth within the time specified on time to meet my work schedule. I am happy that no pressure was made for my next dental checkup. I am also fortunate to have Dr Yeung as my dental specialist for his caring and professional treatment on my dental care.

Every visit to My Dental Clinic always exceeds my expectations. I recently had a dental cleaning and I couldn’t be more pleased. Hygienist Lisa provided impeccable care, making the entire process smooth and comfortable. Dr. Michael Yeung is a fantastic dentist and takes the time to ensure my dental health is in top shape. The friendly staff, clean and modern facility, and exceptional level of care made my every visit a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience!
I went for general hygiene, cleaning and teeth examination. The staff at reception is so friendly and cooperative. Then I met with the dental hygienist who was a good guy. Then I got my teeth fillings done at the same clinic. Today I got my 4 wisdom teeth and a broken one got extracted by Dr. Specht. Amaing people. Competitive pricing and they deal in almost all kind of insurance services with direct billing facility.
If you live somewhere in SW, look no further.

I had a terrible experience with this place and would strongly advise against going there. I visited them for a tooth extraction, and the service they provided was extremely mediocre—nothing exceptional or professional. I paid my bill in full at the time, thinking that was the end of it. However, two years later, I was shocked to receive a collection notice from a company claiming I owe an additional $200. This is absolutely outrageous and feels like a scam. It’s embarrassing and unprofessional for a clinic to handle billing in such a dishonest and predatory manner. This is nothing short of theft and extortion. Stay far away from this place unless you want to deal with unnecessary stress and unethical practices.

Once a Great Dental Office — Now a Complete Disaster

I used to highly recommend this dental office 10 years ago, but unfortunately, the quality of service has drastically declined in recent years. I now strongly urge you to take your business elsewhere.

Since my regular hygienist went on maternity leave, I’ve been passed around to four different replacements — all of whom have been shockingly incompetent. Three of them even damaged my permanent wire retainer, forcing me to now go to an orthodontist and get a retainer. Each time I have gone back to get the wire put back the dentists have shrugged it off with rude comments like, «You should just get a retainer,» despite my clear explanation that I don’t want one.

At my most recent appointment, I calmly expressed my frustration, only to have the dentist interrupt me and say, «Does it make you feel better to yell at me?» I was absolutely stunned — I wasn’t yelling at all, and even the hygienist later apologized for how the situation was handled. It felt like pure gaslighting, and deeply unprofessional behavior.

To top it off, the dentist here are dinosaur age, so outdated in both their approach and communication style. I genuinely believe this office is out of touch, and it shows in how they treat their patients and manage their team.

I’ve since recommended that all of my friends and family switch to other providers — and they have. There are far better options out there with kind, capable staff who know what they’re doing. Save yourself the stress — this office is not what it used to be.

Absolutely top notch! I called at 4:45 pm with a minor emergency. By 7 pm, I had a new filling in one tooth a new crown on another, and all my teeth were cleaned and polished. The clinic runs like a Swiss watch and all the the dentists and hygienists are friendly and attentive, no matter how busy they are.

Arbour Lake Dental has given me the best experiences. I used to be petrified of going to the dentist, and would require sedation for the simplest of procedures. Dr. Chris Miller has completed changed that for me. I am no longer scared of the dentist. In fact, instead of dodging reminder calls every six months out of fear, I now rebook 6 months in advance. I’ve been going to Arbour lake Dental for a few years now and have seen most of the hygienists, and they are all amazing! The admin staff are so helpful with navigating direct billing to my insurance- Cheryl goes above and beyond and always greets me with such a warm smile. I have seen Dr. Ian as well and he is very friendly and extremely thorough with his exams.
Again, my biggest appreciation goes to Dr. Chris though, he’s truly created the safest space for someone as fearful as they come of the dentist. I no longer need sedation at all. But if you do need sedation, they will accommodate.
15/10 would recommend!

I have attended Arbour Lake Dental for so many years, I’ve lost track! Probably about 40 years to Dr Ian, and a few notable hygienists: Belinda and Diane. Maybe others in between. They stay on schedule. Amenable to appt changes if needed. Use sterile equipment. All have a gentle touch. Provide accurate information about the status of my teeth and gums. Answer all questions thoughtfully.

Dr. Miller put a crown on my molar and everything went well. They went the extra mile to get the work completed before the expiration of my dental benefits occurred. The office staff are great and there was only minimal pain experienced. Thank you for the excellent service.

Back in 2012 my wife went to Arbour lake dental as she has had fears of dental treatment. After a consultation, we were hit with a massive estimate of almost 25k. This was a huge amount of money for us which we didn’t have on hand . I saw our bank and took out a loan . Gave them a cheque for just shy of 25 k .The procedure was done but not all work completed as he decided against bridges in the back . Instead wanting to do implants at further $$. We told him we had no more money , I had literally borrowed to my maximum. He was completely indifferent to this fact. We were later given a small refund a couple years later for incomplete work . Well because the back teeth were prepped but not completed it caused more stress on the front teeth . One of her fronts broke so we went back seeking help . We were told just to get the same result as we already have would take another 15k or 10k for dentures . We don’t have 15 K and not in the position to take another loan . We went to see another dentist who can also provide sleep dentistry . They were in disbelief at the outrageous amount we were initially charged as well as the estimate for repair .
We will be going to the other dentist who will not only replace the damaged section but complete the incomplete work , all for a fraction of the price of Arbour lake .
I would highly advise anyone thinking about using their service , to definitely seek out a different office . This place is all about massive profit with zero concern of the wellbeing of the patient.
I really wish we had gone elsewhere for a second opinion as it would have saved us thousands and the anxiety and frustration of how to fix my wife’s smile..
I really hate these people and their indifference to the plight of their patients.

I was visiting Calgary for my bachelorette and my temporary veneer broke off. The clinic was able to get me in first thing and dr Chris was amazing and able to fix my tooth right away. Highly recommend!
