Customer Reviews
I visited this lounge in the fall, but my experience remains clear in my memory. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the music is great—perfect for dancing and enjoying time with friends. The shisha flavors were pretty good as well, and the overall vibe was definitely on point.
However, the experience was let down by the service and food. Despite it being a slow night, some of the staff was inattentive and not very welcoming. We weren’t there for long because we had to move tables to make room for another group. The server rushed us, insisting that we pay before relocating, which felt odd. That interaction put a damper on the night, and I no longer felt like staying.
When I went to pay, the ATM upstairs wasn’t working, and their card machines were also down. In today’s world, most people don’t carry over $200 in cash. They did have another ATM downstairs, but since everyone was facing the same issue, there was a line. Strangely, our server was impatient and kept checking if we had the money, despite knowing the payment situation. The way she handled it made the situation uncomfortable.
We had ordered multiple shishas, food, and drinks, so the bill was a few hundred dollars. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing—lacking flavor and definitely not worth the price. If they improve their service and food quality, this place could easily be a top place again. Unfortunately, didn’t get the chance to take a picture of our drinks or food. But the drinks were made well.
Sori Luk (☆ 3/5)

We were charged full price at happy hour, and were only reimbursed when we asked. My partner also asked if our drinks were included in happy hour prices which the waitress told us they would be.. ended up paying $30+ for 4 shots. Multiple staff members also cornered and intimidated my partner claiming he was doing drugs due to few bathroom trips, and actually kicked us out over this rash assumption. Abysmal staff performance, and complete incompetence. Plus DEAD inside

Phenomenal Experience – Ask for Marissa!
My visit to Fire and Ice was nothing short of amazing, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible server, Marissa. From the moment we sat down, she made us feel like VIPs. Her energy, professionalism, and genuine warmth turned a great meal into an unforgettable experience.
Marissa was not only attentive but also went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, offered fantastic recommendations, and made us feel so welcome. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she had the perfect balance of being attentive without ever feeling intrusive.
Of course, the food and atmosphere at Fire and Ice were top-tier-the flavors were bold, fresh, and perfectly executed. But what truly set this visit apart was the service. Marissa’s kindness, enthusiasm, and dedication to making guests feel special are rare to find.
If you’re planning to dine here, do yourself a favor and ask for Marissa. She turns a great meal into an exceptional experience.
10/10 – Can’t wait to come back!
Savonnah Gibson (☆ 5/5)

Fire and Ice offers a fantastic atmosphere with its captivating music and lighting. The service is exceptional, and their menu boasts a wide variety of food and drinks. The food is top-notch, and the drinks are generous. Over the past few years, the establishment has expanded, now featuring three tiers dedicated to sheesha, drinks, and food. The server I had last night was outstanding, although I regret not asking for her name. She provided excellent recommendations for food. Weekends tend to be busy with long queues, so I suggest arriving early or making a reservation. It’s my preferred destination for dressing up and enjoying a night out with friends.
Tahir If (☆ 5/5)

Great atmosphere and great service from Marissa. Marissa made sure my table with my friends and I were well catered to all night. It didn’t matter what we needed, she was there and ready to help with a smile that made the whole experience more enjoyable.
The music was great as always. We will certainly be coming back.
Akinola Akinsipe (☆ 5/5)

Its a 10-10 with these guys. Service, ambience and vibes are all worth the price.
The manager S****j is amazing and always goes the extra mile.
nathaniel sam-sele (☆ 5/5)

I had a great time at Fire & Ice with my friends! I came to Calgary for a wedding & we decided to have a fun night out. Once we arrived I was seated with Marissa who did an Exceptional job at keeping up with our orders & requests. She kept a smile on her face & had great communication skills. I will definitely keep this on my list when I arrive to Calgary next!

Holy cow the burger I ordered was beyond delicious. Two perfectly seasoned smash patties surrounded by the softest, fluffiest brioche bun… feels like my cold, dead soul being surrounded by a comforting electric blanket…
Not sure if this burger «The Hasselhoff» is a regular menu item as it looks like i popped in during a transitional menu period… but i hope they keep it.
Band was great too!
Had to flag the staff a couple times to get another drink.
Will definitely come again.
Kurtis Eagles (☆ 5/5)

The toonie Tuesday hamburger has paper-thin patty. Looks sad and a pity to eat. Then they overcharge you on the side dishes, and finally gouge you by claiming their receipt machine doesn’t print. Passing by a burger place next door afterwards, and you realize you could have had a decent burger by paying the same price. This completes the whole bad experience at Modern Love.
Simon Cheng (☆ 1/5)

Came here just after opening on a rainy day to do some work. Power outlets everywhere! Great specials as well. I had nachos with pico de gayo and it was awesome. Ewan provided awesome service and is a great conversationalist as well; give that guy a raise! Keep rockin!
Rob Maciak (☆ 5/5)

Dropped by Modern Love on a Tuesday and had a drink at the ground floor bar — shoutout to Maddy who took care of me. Super friendly, easygoing, and just great energy all around.
As someone who’s been in the hospitality scene for years, I can say she’s got that special vibe that would totally elevate the rooftop during sunset live music nights. Would love to see her up there adding to the magic. Great spot, great people — especially Maddy
Med Cherif (☆ 5/5)

I won’t be going back here. Went to see a show last night and pretty much everything was terrible. The service was strangely surly, and we were ordering two drinks at a time becuase we had no faith they would ever come back and check on us. Much of this was the bar’s fault for being understaffed, not the waitress, but it was still a bad experience. The drinks were extremely weak, (although inexpensive), and for some reason it was freezing all night.
Would be one star but they get a second for being LGBTQ+ friendly.
Rob McDowell (☆ 2/5)

Super small venue but it was actually really nice! Came here to see a couple of punk bands and didn’t know what to expect after reading the reviews. Yes, it’s small. If sitting is important to you during a show then just come early.
Food was decent, no complaints.
A little disappointed in the cost of a soda – $3 seems ridiculous when it’s full of ice and you get 3 sips … And no free refills. We are sober so ordering booze is a no-no for us..would be nice for a more affordable option when we go out to shows at pubs.
Michelle R (☆ 4/5)

I love modern rooftops, they host amazing events with great local djs. But most of the praise has to go to the crew, especially Dean and Sarah, they are such amazing people with great personalities, definitely will be coming back for great vibes

Wow, we’ve been walking by this incredible bar for years.
Don’t do what we did, make sure you stop by for a drink or two or dozen and have a few snacks.
We didn’t eat but heard the food was incredible.
The staff are incredibly personable, friendly and beyond attentive. SUPER fast service and the music absolutely ROCKS!
We stumbled in at happy hour, WE SCORED!
Thank you we’ll be back again.
Shawn Selanders (☆ 5/5)

We walked by this little gem randomly on a Wednesday night and decided to stop in, and so happy we did. What a great time. From the extremely polite door man to the absolutely amazing service we received throughout the night. They were extremely tentative to our needs, ensuring our drinks were always full, counters and tables always clean, and everyone smiling. Great drink specials and selection to pick from. I love the decor and all the nostalgia along with the music. It was all a vibe. Carson, Ty, Makena, and Lexi, we really thank you for making our little road trip a memorable one. We’ll be back for sure.
Vanessa Polak (☆ 5/5)

Yes quite a gem. Traveled from Vancouver to calgary. Our daughter works there now and we were happy to see where she works. Fun energy, from staff to customers all were friendly . Some games are available if you gained a table. The options of food varied and good choices, loved that you could get popcorn and jelloshots. I had gingerbeef which was real good nice size and my husband had a corn dogs which is exactly what he hoped for. There was a live game at the door «ring and hook» not sure of the name but sure added to the fun, and a miniature one for the table no one had a problem stopping by our table and interacting. High five to this place. FUN AND ENERGETIC.
Penny Martin (☆ 5/5)

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I lost my wedding ring here by accident and Roy and his team were incredible. They were in touch with their cleaners and somehow found my precious jewellery. Roy was so kind and thoughtful and I am truly so grateful that there are still great humans left in this world. Really impressed with the professionalism of this team!
Jennifer Blust (☆ 5/5)

I go here regularly and it’s a wonderful place. I have been served by almost every employee at some point over the years, but I just wanted to give a special shout out to Mak (Makenna) as she has served me numerous times and is hands down one of the best servers I have ever had at any establishment. Not only is she super kind but real & genuine. Regardless if you’re looking for a lunch date with coworkers or a night out with your friends, the staff at Stan’s will take care of you in every way. 12/10
Macaulay Brown (☆ 5/5)

There have been a couple negative reviews about being bear maced outside the bar but I was the person who took the brunt of this random attack. The gentlemen at the front door couldn’t have handled it better. They cant let anyone inside because mace can spread after contact and affect everyone in the bar. They provided me with milk, water, and sanitary whipes to help. They also apprehended the attacker and contained him until police arrived. Afterwards they brought everyone inside who made police statements and placed us at a table and took care of us all night. Cant praise the staff here enough.
Derek West (☆ 5/5)

We had a great time here relatively early on a Friday night.
I’ve heard this and that about the spot when it’s late and packed but I can’t speak to that.
We simply wanted a couple drinks and some simple food at the start of the evening and the place looked cool from the street.
It’s a bar, with bar food and drinks. If you want it to be anything more than that, you’re probably in the wrong place. The wings by the way were better than expected!
For a casual early evening, it’s a good choice.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Had an awesome night out at Commonwealth Bar tonight, and it was everything I hoped for! The vibe was electric with the live music and that killer purple lighting setting the mood. I loved chilling with my cold Corona Extra, lime perfectly perched, while soaking in the crowd’s energy—perfect way to unwind after cruising around in my convertible. The downtown view from outside with those lit-up skyscrapers was a bonus, and the atmosphere inside felt so lively. Great spot for a fun night out—definitely adding this to my regular hangouts!
Fidel A’s (☆ 5/5)

I recently visited Commonwealth Bar and Stage in downtown Calgary, and it was a great experience! The atmosphere was vibrant, with fantastic music and a spacious layout that made the evening enjoyable.
The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the positive vibe of the place. The live performances were definitely the highlight, showcasing amazing talent that kept the energy levels high throughout the night.
One thing to note is that they charge $5 to keep your jacket inside, and the counter accepts cash only, so be prepared if you’re planning to use this service. The entry fee was slightly higher than average, but for the ambiance and entertainment, it felt worth it. That said, I’d recommend arriving early to avoid long waits at the entrance.
Overall, Commonwealth Bar and Stage is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a lively night out in Calgary. I’m looking forward to going back soon!
Amal Manohar (☆ 3/5)

Worst tucked up place that I have been to in my life. Pay for a party package, and then they kick me out after 20 minutes, saying I’m too aggressive when all I did was stay upstairs with my friend having a good time. $1500 to waste. The Bounce even tried to kick me when I was walking away.
David Omeasoo (Daveed) (☆ 1/5)

We came for a burlesque night that we were excited about, but ended up leaving after the first two performers- the dancers were lovely, but the sound for the performances was painful.
The gain on the system was way too high, and the feedback from the audience cheering was awful.
There were no chairs or seating of any kind except in the two VIP sections (reserved), just bar tables.
And last but not least, on entering the bar, they take a photo of your face and your ID and send it to an international database shared with bars in the States as well as police forces in both countries. They told us that as long as we are well behaved, it won’t be a problem. Probably won’t be back, so won’t be a problem there.
Rob Hansch (☆ 2/5)

Absolutely horrible experience. The bouncers are ignorant and entitled. Literally push you around before you even get in the doors. The music systems are mid and the staff are horrible. Bartenders are barely sober enough to serve you too. Would not recommend.
Isabella Marcy (☆ 1/5)

Amazing music and amazing people! The vibes here are great! The security peeps at the front (Nel and Kuda) are always fantastic and help raise moods when heading in. Definitely wish the space was bigger or had some fans for crazy nights – but it’s incredible here!
V (☆ 5/5)

The bouncers did not let us in. Just because we’re Indians? I don’t know man. It was really depressing that night.
Please teach the bouncers to not filter like this. Because right in front of us, they allowed a group of boys enter. Why did they not allow us? I think it was racism:/.
Some of us are actually hardworking professionals.
I hope the management learns from their mistakes. Cheers

Not gonna lie when I first went loved this place and the atmosphere is still amazing but I feel like my money was wasted the last time we. Went spent the most we have to go for a unicorn night and there were like maybe 20 people and like no girls so we paid for an event that didn’t even really happen. Should have picked Saturday event instead of a Friday but we figured since it was more expensive it would be more exclusive and fun but we were wrong we didn’t even stay 2 hours. Very disappointed

1st time ever into a club like this. I was nervous at first til I was introduced to the owners and some regulars. It was an amazing night well spent awesome clean club and very friendly
Rachel Best (☆ 5/5)

Love this place! Been coming here for close to a year now! The staff are all super friendly and the vibe is very chill. The owners are amazing people who truly care about the environment they have created. Good drinks, good people and good times!!
Zachary McIntyre (☆ 5/5)

The staff is super friendly, but this place isn’t for us. Made us feel like awkward first timers to the lifestyle, we are frequents at Aquarius in Winnipeg and strongly prefer that.
First things first, there are no showers there, that’s what dropped it back to the one star, sorry staff, I love you guys, but that’s gross.
In comparison; the lack of individual rooms doesn’t give you a chance to decompress, or get ready, we also don’t like that if we brought our toys, we would have to carry the bag around with us, vs locking it in a private room.
The club environment also isn’t for us, so there isn’t any time to warm up to the place, either. Comparatively the play room is small and cramped, I’m always awkwardly shifting passed people.
We were told that Calgary has an amazing lifestyle scene and club R was the place to be. If this is what Calgary has to offer, I’m disappointed.
Lots of beautiful women downstairs, but neither of us are for the club scene, given that we were there for my birthday, and to fulfill a fantasy of my girlfriend for me to have an orgy with women that didn’t quite work.
I fully recognize that this is personal preference and plenty of people love this, but anyone like the two of us won’t enjoy it at all. Just an honest review, might be five stars for most people but it was an honest one for the experience for me. The staff give it an extra star
Tyler Torch (☆ 1/5)

Excellent club with very welcoming staff. They run a professional environment, and have curated a culture of consent and respect. The space is well laid out, and provides a great place to party. Their DJs are top notch, and not enough good things can be said about their bartender. She’s in a league of her own! Overall, I’d highly recommend the space, and look forward to the new Edmonton location!!!

I went here for a bachelorette party—and as someone visiting from Toronto who had never been to a drag show before, I have to say, I had an absolutely amazing time!
The performers were incredible, and the energy in the venue was fantastic. Everyone was just having fun and enjoying the show. The bartenders were super friendly and added to the great atmosphere.
I also really appreciated the coat check system—it was so efficient! You enter your cell number on an iPad, and they quickly retrieve your jacket. Such a smart and modern setup.
There were different sections throughout the venue for dancing, and I found the basement level especially enjoyable—it was a bit cooler and less crowded than upstairs.
If I ever visit Calgary again, I would definitely come back. Such a fun and memorable experience!

Sheida Lavasani (☆ 5/5)

Old facility but the hypes are great there… enjoyed my night but they need to do a lot of fixing for floor and furniture
Selia kh (☆ 5/5)

My favourite place in Calgary. The best place for a queer nightlife in the city. The staff are some of the coolest people you will meet and the patrons likewise are very friendly. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun night out. Make sure to make it out to the drag shows too!
Connor Baumann (☆ 5/5)

My first impression when we entered the place was lioe let’s go somewhere else. But once the drag show started and more people arrived the place stared be more fun. The bartenders was super nice music also great. You have two options of music one on the main floor and the one in the basement. The only thing what scared me was the quality of the bathrooms, that could be better. Besides that fun place to visit, and definitely try sour drink. That drink was something else, seriously amazing drink.
Kamil D (☆ 5/5)

I always have so much fun here omg this place never lets me down. I adore the staff, shoutout to my girl Quinn who works there. I love the energy, the music is always amazing and whenever I happen to come when theres a drag show, omg I have a blast, the girlies are workinnnn

I've been a regular here for so long and usually have an awesome time, but our last visit was disappointing. We were so stoked to see Gene Farris, but the sound was seriously off. The music even cut out a couple of times, which totally killed the vibe and we ended up leaving early. When you book big names like that, the setup needs to be on point to match the talent!
Also, the bathrooms could use some serious TLC. I really hope you guys sort things out because I love this place, but this last experience wasn't great at all

I had an absolutely amazing night out with friends! Nico De Andrea’s DJ set hit straight to the heart! The bar itself is stunning, adding to the whole experience.

Absolutely loved this place! The vibe is incredible stylish, energetic, and just the right mix of classy and fun. From the music to the lighting to the crowd, everything felt high end and well curated. If you’re looking for a luxury experience with an unforgettable atmosphere, this is the spot. Can’t wait to come back!

Was very shocked and taken back but how rudely the woman at the front checking tickets thinks she is able to speak to costumers. Extremely disrespectful and really reflects on the establishment as a whole. We went in for an event and we let her know we were on the guest list and provided my partners name and my name. She looks over at me and says what’s your name I give it to her and she’s continues NOO WHATS YOUR NAME. And speaks to me like I’m the world’s dumbest human. My partner had to step in and again say what we had just told her, my name for the third time and she was not understanding. It was on the list she was just abruptly rude and arrogant. Would never go back.

I had the privilege of experiencing the Lavern DJ show at Sub Rosa, and it was phenomenal. Hari, the Assistant Manager, was a consummate professional, ensuring our bottle service evening exceeded all expectations. The classy venue, combined with the excellent staff, made for an exciting evening. I will definitely be back!

I scored food. But it's actually drinks at the bar that I've enjoyed. The bathroom is nice. It's genderless which is a great idea for the bar. It's all stalls!
I like this bar now! It has had some pretty huge changes made to the atmosphere over the past few years. The dance floor has been moved a bunch of times, but its in the right place now! The sound system is intense- it's PK sound! Don't forget your hearing protection! It pounds!! It has all really came together now and the place has a great flow from the door to the stage! I always enjoy the events here <3[/su_testimonial][su_testimonial name="Bass Lover (☆ 5/5)" photo="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/a/ACg8ocK8NQ2vZMATT9cCMwCXvOvd--Z_entOf-WD_HGGLMl6RPz7TA=s120-c-rp-mo-ba3-br100"]This was my 2nd spontaneous evening ending up at this gem. The vibe of this club is so sexy, the lighting is very dark, the dance floor is a good size, the seating is very comfortable and there are plenty couches to relax at and take a break. Both djs we saw were phenomenal!! Highly recommend! A little pricy for cover but honestly worth it!!! Thanks for the memories
My only suggestion is to please maybe have a water dispenser on the side for those of us who don't partake in consumption of the alcoholic variety, so we don't have to feel like such an inconvenience to your bartender! Thank you :-)[/su_testimonial][su_button url="https://search.google.com/local/reviews?placeid=ChIJQ_k_qf1vcVMRhPdr-RAktE8&q=Sub+Rosa&authuser=0&hl=en&gl=ES" target="blank" background="#dd332f" size="3" icon="icon: comments" id="btnComentarios" style="ghost" icon_color="#dd332f" color="#dd332f"]View all reviews[/su_button][su_divider top="no" divider_color="#eeeeee" size="1" margin="10"][/su_spoiler]

Trying a bit too hard to be a country concert hall and the upstairs games area was under construction but still an ok place to go if the drinks weren’t crazy priced (stampede pricing??). Plenty of room inside until it’s after midnight. It’s nice you can leave for a bite outside the hall and just walk right back in with a stamp.

The screeners at this place are racist. They denied me re-entry. They stated the picture when i entered the first time is a different person. When i informed him that i left my hat at the car. He called multiple guards to escort me out. Did not listen to my explanation at all. They didn’t even refund my purchase. Do not go if you’re a minority!!
Nasir Abdullahi (☆ 1/5)

Showed up at around 11 the other day, the people I was meeting weren’t there yet so I got in line up to the point where I could see that entry to the dancehall was 30 dollars???? That itself is outrageous. Eventuallly my friends texted me that they were there (they are from Australia and didn’t know where to go) so I stepped out of line and went to the back of the line to wait with them. After finally reaching the door for the second time, the entry had gone up to $40. What an absolute scam. I had to transfer some money over from my savings as I didn’t expect the price to go up within fifteen minutes… and asked if I could just step aside for a second, to which the security guard rudely kept denying me and telling me to get in the back of the line FOR THE THIRD TIME. Not even worth it whatsoever, DJ plays really bad music and it’s overall disappointing. The musical festival is probably the only thing I’ll go to from now on, and even that is a huge money grab. They say the artist/band comes on at 9-9:45 and then they don’t come on stage until 11 at the earliest…they just want you to buy more outrageously priced drinks ($13 a beer) even the drinks on the actual stampede grounds don’t cost that much. Bartenders and other employees are awesome so I feel bad for writing this review, but it’s just really disappointing to see.

⭐ One Star – Because Zero Isn’t an Option**
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to party inside a biohazard site with really shitty country music blasting in the background, welcome to Cowboys Dance Hall. The last time I went, I didn’t just lose my dignity. I lost my footing on a puddle of someone else’s vomit conveniently left by the bar like a little *» yeehaw surprise .»* Did staff rush to help? Did anyone care? No.
This place is filthier than a gas station bathroom during Stampede. I wouldn’t be surprised if the floor has its own ecosystem by now. If you’re into questionable hygiene, sticky boots, and the faint scent of regret, you’ll love it here.
Juniper Sperz (☆ 1/5)

Had my friend come to my home, sick, and unable to get his coat from coat check (with his house keys in it) at 2:30am with the casino open. They told him no. Who lets someone clearly inebriated go home without their personal items? You don’t know what you’ve checked along with someone’s coat. Very thankful I was awake and he had somewhere to stay. Even more thankful that this wasn’t a woman being left without her keys in the middle of the night
Jolie (☆ 1/5)

I don’t normally leave reviews, but my last experience at Cowboys Dance Hall crossed a line. The bouncer pocket pooled me, seriously, and was coming on way too strong. As a man, I rarely say this, but I genuinely felt unsafe. There’s a difference between doing your job and invading someone’s space, and this was far beyond that.
On top of that, they’ve taken away the community skatepark just to set up their music festival. That’s not just inconvenient, it’s a huge slap in the face to the local community. There were so many other options for where to host the event. Honestly, you could have pocket pooled me again and I would have been fine with it compared to this.
Stop holding the skatepark hostage. Give the community their space back.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable night out, this place delivers every time. The vibes are unmatched — the lighting alone makes it feel like you’ve stepped into the middle of a wild, high-energy party. The DJs never miss, Every time I’ve been, they’ve kept the energy sky-high all night long. From crowd favorites to unexpected remixes, they know exactly how to read the room and keep everyone on the dance floor. It’s nonstop good vibes and seriously some of the best sets I’ve ever heard in a club.
I’ve gotten bottle service a few times and it’s always been such a fun experience. The staff goes all out with extravagant bottle shows that make you feel like a VIP every time. Service with is consistently on point — friendly, fast, and so attentive.
The bouncers make you feel super safe, which is a huge plus, and the management is amazing. They know how to handle any situation with professionalism and kindness. It’s rare to find a club where the whole team, from top to bottom, makes the experience so enjoyable.
If you’re all about great music, killer lighting, and a place that feels electric from the moment you walk in — this is the place. Highly recommend!

I had such a great time at Bleu Night Club the atmosphere is absolutely fantastic! From the music to the lighting, everything is designed to make sure you have a great night out. What really made the experience unforgettable was the staff super professional, friendly, and always on top of everything. And I have to give a special shout-out to Vincent, the bartender. Honestly, the best bartender I’ve ever met! Not only are his drinks on point, but he’s also incredibly nice and makes you feel welcome the moment you step up to the bar. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy great music, amazing energy, and top-notch service Bleu is the spot. Can’t wait to go back!

Disappointed First-Time Experience
We were excited to check out Bleu Calgary for the first time. We paid $20 each for the entrance, and at first, everything seemed fine. The place looked decent with a large dance floor, but around 10 p.m., it was still quite empty.
We decided to step out for a bit to stroll around and come back later when things picked up. We had our stamps clearly marked and assumed re-entry wouldn’t be a problem—especially since there was no notice or signage saying otherwise.
To our surprise, when we tried to go back in, the staff refused to let us in unless we paid another entrance fee. Even after explaining we had just been inside and had already paid, they didn’t make any exceptions. No apology, no courtesy—just a cold «pay again or leave.»
It felt like a money grab, and honestly, it ruined our night. For a place trying to build a crowd and reputation, this kind of treatment to first-time guests is a big turn-off. We won’t be coming back, and we wouldn’t recommend it to others either.

Love the music especially Dj Amante in the house. This club has nice well equipped booth for bottle service. The dance floor right in the middle where the actions are and plenty of bars that you can still be part of the floor. Can’t wait to see what else is in store in the future here.

Love it here! The ambiance is like no other place in Calgary. The service is also exceptional. The manager is one of the coolest guys I’ve ever met. He cares deeply about customer service and about his team and you can see it clearly. He took care of me and my friends for a birthday and it was a blast! Highly recommend.

Bleu is my weekend tradition and the vibes are unbeatable from day to night!
I’m at Bleu almost every weekend, and it just never gets old. The party starts on Friday and keeps going strong until Sunday, with the perfect mix of daytime rooftop vibes and legendary Friday & Saturday night parties.
The rooftop and day club combo is absolutely where it’s at sun, music, amazing people, creating an immersive atmosphere that’s both lively and refined. Then when the sun goes down, Bleu turns into a full-blown nightlife experience with booming beats and a packed, high energy crowd.
And let’s talk about the staff seriously, they are absolutely amazing, friendly, welcoming, and they truly know how to make everyone feel like a VIP. The entire experience feels seamless every time I go.
If you’re looking for a place that delivers great music, good vibes, and unforgettable weekends, Bleu is the spot. I’ve made so many memories here and I’m always ready for the next one!

If you’re looking for the place to throw down this weekend with sick music – probably the best music in town, BLEU Calgary is it. I hosted my birthday celly there with 35–40 friends, most of us in our late 20s to early 30s, and booking the VIP package and bottle service was hands down the best decision. The BLEU energy was insane: packed dance floor, wild lighting, nonstop music, and a hype team that went all out to make me feel special. They even printed a giant photo of me and gave me custom money with my face on it to make it rain with a fake money gun: ICONIC!
Huge shoutout to Ronnie, the owner, for showing love and keeping everything smooth, and to Alim & Kaitlyn for checking in and making sure our crew was taken care of all night. For my IG girlies, make sure to check out their brand new & super cool photobooth. Rally your crew and hit up BLEU this weekend to make memories you probably won’t tell your mom about. You won’t regret it!

Best clubs I’ve ever worked at. The staff is kind, friendly, and smiling. The stage performers are so talented, and know how to mix sexy with spectacular pole & aerial moves. The music can please everyone with rock, dance, reggae, R&B, and country. I love the set-up, with the VIP area featuring bottle service, the stage, and a surrounding sitting area. The private rooms are clean and spacious, perfect for sensual dances with great lighting. The dancers are beautiful and polite, representing a diverse range of types.

I’ve been to Blondies multiple times. This time, our girls’ night, we were served by Sarah. She’s the best compared to the other staff. Super attentive, personable, and fun. Because of her, we stayed the whole night and ordered a couple more bottles instead of going to a different club that we initially had planned. Thanks, Sarah for the best night. You made it memorable for all of us!
Nicole Contreras (☆ 5/5)

Last night, I visited this club with my friends. We paid the full entry fee and purchased drinks. After just one dance, security approached us aggressively, accusing us of not tipping. We clearly stated that we didn’t enjoy the first performance—tipping is a personal choice, not an obligation.
What followed was blatant discrimination. We witnessed the staff remove some Indian guests right in front of us and then target us next. It was completely unjustified and clearly racially motivated. If tipping is mandatory (which it shouldn’t be), state that at the entrance instead of harassing people selectively.
I felt deeply disrespected and singled out. I am a professional, and this kind of behavior was nothing short of racist profiling. It’s disgraceful.
I will be escalating this to the management and filing an official complaint with Alberta club regulation authorities. The toxic attitude, cheap standards, and biased staff in this place are unacceptable.
This kind of treatment should not exist in 2025. Enough is enough.
Sanjeev Kumar (☆ 1/5)

Always a great night. Bar staff are wonderful and welcoming to everyone, Vanessa greets me at the door every time to find the right spot. Performers are amazing and the shows unique – always worth coming in. One of the best spots to include on your night downtown, early for the happy hour prices or late for the strong finish.

Don’t ever go to this strip club.they will scam you with their LAP DANCE. Paid 100$ for lap dance for 10 min. Dance was only offered for 3 min in DARK ROOM.
NOT ENOUGH LIGHT IN THE ROOM
Santiago Keyla (☆ 1/5)

Blondies Cabaret’s amazing GM, Vanessa, is the backbone of this place – a true pro who keeps the chaos in check while making every customer feel like a VIP. She’s got that perfect mix of managerial skills, empathy and overall genuine warmth that sets the vibe just right for Blondies’. Whether it’s handling rowdy crowds or making sure her dancers feel respected and safe, she does it all with a smile and a no bull attitude.
Sandra, Patrick, the bartenders and bouncers all the way to the front door staff are ACE too. Makes sense when you got Vanessa at the top running a tight ship.
Go to Blondies! TONIGHT! It’s literally going to be your second home soon. 😉

Absolutely Discriminatory and Unacceptable Experience at Blondies Calgary
My recent experience at Blondies in Calgary during Stampede weekend was nothing short of shocking, disheartening, and frankly, infuriating.
Despite waiting patiently in line like everyone else, I witnessed multiple white patrons being admitted into the venue with no issue whatsoever. However, when it came to our group’s turn, the bouncers suddenly claimed that the club was hosting a «private event» and refused us entry. This explanation was not only suspiciously convenient but blatantly untrue—there were no visible signs of a private event, no separate guest list being checked with any consistency, and no other indication that entry was restricted in any way.
Let’s be clear: there was no private event. This took place during one of the busiest weekends in Calgary—Stampede—which makes the claim even more implausible. The individuals before and after us, all of whom were white, were granted immediate access. We were the only visible minorities in our vicinity at the time, and we were the only ones denied.
This experience was not just disappointing—it was discriminatory. It felt like a deliberate act of racial profiling, and it was an incredibly hurtful reminder that even in 2025, people of color are still being treated as outsiders in spaces they show up to support. We came ready to spend our money, enjoy our night, and support local business, only to be met with prejudice and exclusion.
To be turned away under such false pretenses while others were freely welcomed—simply because of the color of our skin—is not only unethical, it’s disgraceful. No club should operate this way, especially in a diverse and multicultural city like Calgary.
I strongly urge others to think twice before supporting a venue that practices such discriminatory gatekeeping. If you believe in equality, respect, and basic human decency, Blondies is not the place to spend your time or money.
I’ve gone through all the previous comments, and it’s deeply troubling to see the same concerns about racism repeatedly brought up—particularly by other brown men who’ve had similar experiences. This is not an isolated issue. Just recently, I met a group of about five other brown guys outside in the parking lot, all of whom had also been denied entry for two consecutive nights.
The pattern here is hard to ignore. When multiple people from the same background report identical treatment, it clearly points to a deeper issue of discriminatory practices. At this point, either the club is completely blind to what’s happening—or worse, it simply doesn’t care to improve or change.
