After moving from Ontario to Alberta, my wife and I were lucky enough to find Ian while searching for a financial planner here in Calgary. He has worked with us to complete a full financial plan which is very detailed with specific actions and follow ups for all involved which we appreciate. He even set things up so we can see real time progress towards the goals that we set which we love. Ian always explains what it is he is recommending, with support material, so we know exactly what we are purchasing and how it will benefit us in the short and/or long term. I had the pleasure of meeting Ian McCulloch and his amazing team earlier this year as my partner has been using Ian's services for approximately 7 years. I had my investments sitting in some accounts at a credit union, to which there was very little to no assistance from anyone at that institution to help me with my investments and retirement planning. It was within minutes of my first zoom meeting with Ian that I knew that I wanted this man and his team to help me reach my goals. My partner and I just had our Estate & Financial Planning meeting last week with Ian and Taylor and we were blown away with the information provided and how it was presented to us. I thought Ian was going to jump through the screen with his excitement as to where we stand financially today and where we will be at retirement time right through to age 95! The plan provides for with "what if's" of the world (which was my biggest concern, and is no longer) down to how we can find the money for a major repair to our home that we have been putting off doing. We are excited for our retirement, so much so my partner was going to work until 66 years old, now he is counting down the days until June 2024 when he is now thinking of retirement. MORE THAN JUST A SUIT Recently, we had the pleasure of working with Ian and his team on an Insurance Policy. He was gracious and patient with our many questions (sometimes the same question multiple times) Ian wanted to make sure that we totally understood all the details of our policy. So no question is a stupid question. Knowing little about Insurance, we were overwhelmed with all the information and options. Ian walked us through all the process and details. He's thorough and well informed. Ian used his knowledge to make certain that the policy we were choosing was the best matched to our needs. You will feel comfortable with his easy going manner and down home kind of guy attitude. He's friendly, good sense of humour and was a pleasure to work with. His team is supportive and efficient. Kathy kept us well informed with emails and setting up Zoom calls. Sun Life rep, Thomas, filled in any blanks and provided good overall picture as well. You will be confident and satisfied with the level of attention that Ian and his team provide.
