I’ve had such a great experience at Barre West! I started with their Mom and Baby Pilates class when I was about seven months postpartum, and it is the perfect way to ease back into gentle movement after having a baby. The class is welcoming, relaxed, and thoughtfully designed for new moms. I really appreciated that the babies are not just allowed but genuinely welcome—and that the instructors keep the door open for late arrivals, which, as any new mom knows, is incredibly helpful.
The class offers lots of modifications, which I found great. Personally, I had already returned to regular exercise by the time I joined, so it was a bit on the easier side for me, but still very enjoyable and a wonderful way to get out of the house with baby in tow.
Since then, I’ve been taking their Monday Ass & Abs class, and I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s been absolutely fantastic for helping me rebuild strength and re-establish that vital mind-muscle connection, especially in areas affected by pregnancy. I’ve felt real progress from these classes.
The instructors at Bar West are knowledgeable and attentive, offering clear form cues and always making sure everyone is moving safely and effectively. I’ve been to fitness classes elsewhere where people are doing entirely different things and the instructor doesn’t say a word—not the case here, which I really appreciate. They also provide options to make movements both easier and more challenging, all while maintaining a supportive and body-positive environment.
The studio itself has a great vibe, and the front desk staff are always friendly and welcoming. I genuinely look forward to every class. Highly recommend!

I’m currently in the trial period at Barre West, and I absolutely love these classes! From the moment I stepped in, I was welcomed by a vibrant energy and an uplifting atmosphere that makes each workout enjoyable. The instructors are incredibly motivating and create a supportive environment that encourages you to push your limits.
I've already started to feel a noticeable difference in my strength and flexibility after just a few sessions. The combination of Pilates, barre techniques, and energetic movements really targets those hard-to-reach muscles, and I can feel my body becoming stronger and more toned.
If you're looking for a new training outlet that combines fun with effective workouts, I highly recommend giving Barre West a try. It's been a fantastic addition to my fitness routine, and I can't wait to see how much more progress I can make!

Barre West is absolutely amazing! The Pilates classes are both challenging and rewarding, with instructors who are incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging, and attentive to form. The studio has such a welcoming and motivating atmosphere, making every class a great experience. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, the workouts are designed to push you while still being accessible. I always leave feeling stronger and more energized. Doing the mom + Baby classes has been a game changer for my post partum recovery journey! Very grateful to be welcomed into a community that is so kind and supportive. I love that the mom + baby classes are flexible. I can show up late, leave early, feed and change my baby, in a judgment free environment! And meet some cool moms. When I go back to work I will get getting a membership!

I started coming to Barre West earlier this year and it continues to be the highlight of my workout routine! The instructors really care about getting to know you by name and seeing you improve. The workouts are challenging and fun every week, especially Booty church on Sundays. I look forward to going every week!

I have tried a few different studios in Calgary, and when I attended Barre West, I knew it was my place. I’m a bit on the introverted side, and really find going to work out alone nerve wracking, ESPECIALLY joining new studio. Not Barre West. Immediately, I felt welcome. The staff, the community - the whole space is inviting and put me at ease.
I have been going regularly for almost 6 months, and it has become more than a fitness studio. It’s done wonders for my wellness as a whole, both body and mind. It’s quickly become one of my favourite places and I feel excite to go and incredible when I leave.
If you’re look for a FUN, welcoming fitness experience, do yourself a favour and try a class!

think I’ve finally found the perfect place for my body and soul! The 50-minute classes are full of energy, guided by a vibrant and supportive instructor. Every session leaves me feeling stronger and more uplifted. I started with a 2-week unlimited pass, loved every moment of it, and I’m absolutely planning to keep coming back! 🙂
