This company took copyright photos off my website and used them to promote their real estate services in Cochrane, Alberta. When asked to pay the photo licensing fee they told me they would not pay unless I "pursue[d] legal channels". It’s very surprising to me that they won’t simply pay the licensing fee as when you click on the link in their Instagram biography you are taken to a page advertising "Earn An Additional $20,000–$50,000/Month" "without working more hours". I’d be surprised if a business that is making an extra $50,000 a month passively, on top of what is earned actively, wouldn’t have enough money to pay small creators for the content they take from them. Edit: In their response to this review they asked me to reach out but I already did, twice, and they said - in writing - they would not pay unless I "pursue[d] legal channels" and that "As far as we’re concerned, the matter is closed." I encourage them to reach out to me if their position has changed.

Working with the Brix team was one of the best decisions I could have made when starting out on my real estate adventure. Both James Heenan and Samantha Kraemer were critical in getting me into my first home. They adapted quickly as my personal situation changed and helped me shift gears on the fly to make sure I got into my new home. James and Sam were able to connect me with new resources, such as my amazing new mortgage broker, and also with my lawyer. I will 1000% continue to work with the Brix team as I move forward into my real estate investment career as well.
