Calaway RV Park and Campground is a perfect base for the Calgary Stampede! Just 15 minutes west of the city on the Trans-Canada Hwy, it offers easy access to the Stampede grounds via shuttle service (check with campground). The campground is well maintained and clean, with super friendly hosts who make you feel at home. Spacious sites with full hookups and spotless facilities are great for RVs and limited tenting. Next to Calaway Park for family fun and with mountain views, it’s an ideal spot. Book early for Stampede week!

Nice location and the staff was great. But if you have a motorhome, do not stay here. Site are very unlevel, short and narrow. Don't know why or site was so short as we had an open field behind us. Had to put board under my motorhome tires so I could level my coach. If you have a trailer, this is not much of a problem. Also, on every other site, the connections for water and electric are on the wrong side. Had to get extra hoses so I could hook up my water. The site pads are also poorly maintained. Not pet friendly either. No dog park or potty bags. Will not stay here again.

The site we were assigned was not level enough for our motorhome to properly level so needed to switch sites. The new one was not much better but in order to be level, we needed to be at the very front of the spot leaving us no room to park our vehicle. We purchased wifi codes and afterwards realized that the area we were camped in did not permit a connection to the wifi. Only spots closest to the office got wifi. Unfortunately the codes were non refundable. Not sure why they would sell codes when they were aware of the site were in and that it was too far away to actually be able to use the codes altogether. The staff were great and the campground itself was a perfect spot to stay while enjoying the amusement park.

The sites were well maintained . Most sites had nice shading trees and picnic tables. Facilities were good. Easy access. The hookups were good. They sites were very close together, though. Packed in like sardines.

Very neat and packed campground, close to the amusement park. Single toilet block behind camp store. 43/night for unserviced which does not include showers (hot/cold) is 2$. No hot water in the outdoor dishwashing sink. No water spigots except at dump. Wifi is 5.20 per 24hr or 1Gb whichever is first. Laundry/dryer 2.50 each. Quiet. About 15mins drive to calgary.

This is a large campground very well laid out and cared for with an excellent amusement park attached, sits just west of Calgary, AB, there are no available cabins, however the wifi is less than basic

Conveniently located along route one on the west side of Calgary. We just needed an overnight stay for rest and they were very accommodating. Sites were small and very close together. Not much privacy. The bathrooms and showers are a considerable distance away from most of the sites. Showers are coin-operated so we didn’t bother to use them and showered in our own rig. A fairly good value for the money, though. Convenient for a one night stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Major drawback: They are doing some major construction for a parking lot adjacent to the RV Park and they had heavy equipment running until well into the evening. Not conducive to getting any kind of rest. I suppose circumstances will change when the parking lot is completed. Didn’t help us, though.
