My son has been taking guitar lessons with Lone for almost two years and it’s been such a great experience. Lone teaches him to play songs he loves which keeps him interested and engaged. We’ve also been impressed with the school as a whole - good communication and well organized with everything from registration to recitals. Would absolutely recommend!

Great school! Love the classes, they're very engaging, interactive, little ones love to explore the instruments. We completed the fall session so far in the 6-24 months group and already signed up for the next one. I highly recommend the school!

Well managed music school. We've been attending with our various young children for about four years. Many of the instructors have been excellent but on the odd occasion management has been very receptive to feedback. The school is now located in the basement located via stairs on the right hand side. The unfortunate part is being located in Marda Loop. That means terrible parking and traffic. Very narrow lanes and near misses.

My 9 year old daughter started guitar with Lone last year and it's been a great experience! Lone has been an amazing fun teacher and lets her chose the songs she loves to play while teaching guitar basics. The progress she has made in just one year has been incredible! My younger daughter is also doing piano with Jennifer. She is wonderfully patient and also brings a lot of fun to the lessons. The school has been wonderful in communications with us and accommodating in our lesson times. We used to attend another music studio but am glad we made the switch to Chinook as it is much more organized and the teachers have been fantastic. I highly recommend both our teachers and Chinook Music school.

My son has been taking piano lessons at Chinook for about 3 years. He really enjoys the lessons, largely because his teacher, Michael, works with him to make music an enjoyable learning experience. My son learns pretty quickly by ear, but said one of his objectives was to learn to sight read better. So the teacher incorporated both into the lessons. So successful!! It’s a great team experience, and I can’t sing Michael’s praises enough.

I started as an adult student completely new to reading music. I began my adult journey with the goal to learn how to play the piano. I have treasured my experience with Chinook School of Music. I've valued my options to explore working with different teachers who were accepting of my reality of not always being able to practice regularly. I have loved performing and attending the adult recitals. This has provided a magical opportunity to witness so many other adult students exploring voice and numerous instruments with a full spectrum of beginners to advanced learners. My daughter started taking piano at Chinook soon after I began and we both have learned so much. Our teacher even supported us to play a duet together. During the summer we have taken advantage of the option to experiment with different teachers and instruments and I have been impressed by the friendly and responsive customer service. I tell all of my friends about this amazing studio because of the incredible experience my daughter and I have had going on 5 years plus!

We took a music class called Music Kids in the Park with Miss Kassandra, and my whole family was impressed. My son is very small, only 10 months old when the program started, but he enjoyed playing the instruments along with Miss Kassandra's singing and games. Each class followed a similar plan so that babies knew what to expect, but the actual songs were varied enough that it kept kids entertained. It was a wonderful exposure into music lessons for my little one, and we hope that we will be able to return next summer!
