Yes, I did enjoy my time at ABM College and found value in the learning experience. However, I believe in honesty and transparency, and I must express that my graduation experience was deeply disappointing and left me feeling cheated.

On the day of graduation, I realized my grades did not reflect the Distinction I had earned. I approached the staff, and after checking my records, they agreed and awarded me the Distinction Honors which I have on video. However, I was asked not to speak about it publicly, which raised red flags.

I went ahead and shared my achievement on LinkedIn, only to later receive an email stating I would not be getting the distinction certificate after all, with the claim that I didn’t meet the merit. I felt misled and humiliated, especially after having to take down my public post.

This experience was unfair and unprofessional. I respectfully ask that ABM College do the needful and honor what was promised and awarded in front of others. I have video proof of the recognition, and I believe it’s only right that this is reflected in my official records and certificate.

I’m sharing this with the hope that future students will not go through such inconsistency and that fairness will be upheld moving forward.

I have concerns about the direction the college is heading, particularly regarding recent leadership appointments. It appears that some key positions, including the Education Director and Education Manager, have been filled by individuals with limited academic or management experience. There is a perception among students and staff that these roles were influenced by personal connections to the college’s ownership—for example, one leader is believed to have close ties to the owner’s family. Since these appointments, there has been a noticeable decline in the quality of instruction and overall student support. I hope the college re-evaluates its leadership criteria to better serve its students.

Sundance College was a great option for me because of the online learning platform, the accessibility to the instructors and the personalized approach. The instructors know what they are talking about and bring it to you with passion. They are helpful and understanding. This is an awesome program, easy to follow, great learning tips, good resources for all students. A shout out to C.Baer for her instruction, understanding and passion towards teaching.

Sundance college was a great option for working adult with kids and needs the flexibility to still further my career. My instructors are great like Arman Ali and Larry Gent. I really did learn alot of them based on their experiences and their guidance. Arman Ali was a great instructor and guided me through my Capstone Project, which I was successful in. As a current student at SAIT, I can say that this school truly excels in delivering a high-quality, hands-on education. The instructors are knowledgeable and approachable, often bringing valuable industry experience into the classroom. The facilities are also impressive, with modern equipment and resources that give students a taste of real-world work environments. Each program is designed with a strong focus on practical skills, which I believe will give me a competitive edge in my future career.

However, one downside I’ve experienced is the cost. The tuition fees are quite high, which can be challenging for students who are balancing studies with financial responsibilities. Despite the cost, I feel that the quality of education and the opportunities available, such as internships and industry connections, make it a worthwhile investment. SAIT provides an enriching learning experience, and although the financial aspect is tough, I believe it’s preparing me well for the workforce.

I have been to 4 colleges in my life and am an A student on average. I am writing this review so that others are aware of what they are getting themselves into if they choose or are considering SAIT College.
This college is a disgrace to the education system! It is all for profit and not about your education. They are short teaching staff and the professors in general should not be deemed their position. They are unprofessional, arrogant, extremely disorganized and lack the skills to provide a proper education. I have met very gifted students in my journey at this college that should be offered teaching positions however they stated that they would turn down such an offer due to the political environment at this institution. The staff are so immature and unprofessional that they will slander your name to their colleges if you question them. Because of this and many other reasons I strongly believe that this college is a lawsuit just waiting to happen.
It is very unfortunate however there is the possibility for change if enough people speak up or give a thumbs up to my review if they agree. Be kind and allow others to know the truth. It could save someone a lot more than just their time and money.

The computer science program is meant for absolute beginners, despite SAIT calling it «advanced». I am already an experienced programmer, and I was told by SAIT that they could build upon my current understanding, but that was a lie.

I decided to challenge myself slightly by doing more than what was required in my web dev class. I submitted several assignments early, and did more work than what was required to demonstrate my skills. But I was given zeros on all the assignments. I talked to the teacher, and he told me «your work is exceptional, but you used SCSS instead of CSS, so you get a zero», despite SCSS being a superset of CSS and compiling into CSS, which means I actually met the criteria. SAIT administration said there’s nothing they can do. It’s clear they just want me to repeat the class so they can get more money out of me.

Also, due to the millions of immigrants Canada is bringing in (mostly from India and China) every year, 90% of the people in this school are non-white and don’t speak English properly, including the teachers. This means I’m a minority and I don’t fit it in. Our country is being invaded, and our culture is being destroyed. Making friends is very difficult, because there’s so few Canadians here anymore.

The overpriced residence doesn’t have AC, so my room heats up to 38 degrees C during the summer. The meal plan gave me raw meat. They eventually shut down for a few weeks because everyone cancelled their meal plan.

SAIT is also bad at communicating, which is a given considering most teachers cannot speak English properly. I emailed SAIT regarding a few issues and questions I had, but they would take several weeks to respond, only to give a generic response that didn’t answer the question, or CC the email to someone else.

Their course is very outdated. They are still teaching JAVA 8, which was released back in 2014, an entire decade ago. In the tech world, that’s an eternity. How can they expect students to be prepared when they’re stuck learning software that’s practically ancient? I asked the teacher has she said «It’s too expensive for SAIT to update it», which is odd considering they are charging tens of thousands of dollars, plus a ridiculous amount of fees. I’ve already spent about $300 just to use the washing machines for my clothes, and I’ve only been here for 10 months.

I have been getting an email every week with several LGBTQ advertisements and events. SAIT has become an extremist, pushing mental ideologies. See the images I attached to this. I get an email like this, saying it’s pride week, every week. There are also several posters and flags around the school. In the second image, it is advertising an event where males dress up as a female. They wear dresses, apply excessive amounts of makeup and paint their nails. What has happened to our society? This is insanity.

I have also received several emails for scholarship opportunities that are only for «minorities» like a scholarship only for black people, or only for aboriginals, etc. Giving people opportunities or advantages based purely on their race is racism. Apparently SAIT, and the western world for that matter, thinks this is acceptable.

There is also a poster advertising an «anti-racism certificate» course. This is so ironic. SAIT, and the western world has become woke. Our culture and way of life have been destroyed.

I just saw a transgender teacher. It was a guy wearing a dress, wearing women’s earrings and makeup. He looked mentally ill. This is insane. How has this nonsense become socially acceptable here? The far-left media has brainwashed people.

I’m so tired of this, I’m leaving Canada when I’m done here.

I’m so incredibly disappointed in this institution for many things, but mostly how they handle program withdrawals. They are charging me $689 (50% of my tuition for the course I’m «registered in» and applicable fees) and I’m absolutely appalled with their reasoning.

I’m almost finished my university education. I would have had a year left had I continued with my program; however, I wanted a change. I decided to enrol in the SAIT ITS program to see if it would be a better fit for me. In December, I contacted my advisor about withdrawing from my courses as I had decided to return to my previous institution (to study Business instead). This is where the chaos ensued.

You would think that I must have withdrawn from my program halfway through the semester right? You would be incorrect. I withdrew on January 10th, and they feel that a 50% refund is acceptable within the withdrawal period. Their reasoning: «They could have charged me more».

How are students supposed to know if their course load is too heavy before they begin classes? How are students supposed to know if they need further accommodation for a specific course before that class actually starts? How are your students supposed to meet their own needs if you’re charging them for needing to drop a course in order to make ends meet? You’re supposed to meet the needs of students… not break your students until they’re broke.

Or in my case, how are students supposed to know that a program would drive their mental state into the ground. They do not care, nor do they show any sympathy.

If you are like me, and you don’t have money to throw away on tuition for a class that you were supposed to be withdrawn from… I would highly recommend applying to an institution that doesn’t just care about money and actually has a heart for their students.

As a student of this school for many years I have to say it has sure gone downhill. In the the electrical building alone.. barly any of the toilets work. If they do 2 days later it has a sign sahing out if order. Pretty sure the plumbing department is right below us? Automatic door openers dont work, in other buildings the esclators are broken every second day. Are you guys following hudsons bay? It didnt work out so well for them..

And with Tuition alone from just electrical students not including the portion of funding the goverment pays. This is over 1 million dollars per 2/3 month semester.

Tuition costs keep going up but the quality of this school keeps going down. There has been a 2 Liter juice box on top of a hanging heater for 4 years now… you guys seriously need to get your school together.

SAIT is a circus disguised as a school. You pay thousands just to teach yourself from ancient PowerPoints while getting ghosted by every advisor like it’s part of the curriculum. Blackboard crashes more than my sanity, registration feels like a rigged slot machine, and the Wi-Fi? Completely possessed — only works when you’re not submitting an assignment. Every hallway is blocked by eternal construction, printers don’t work unless you sacrifice a goat, and the only consistent thing here is your rising stress. The support staff? Might as well be fictional — they’ll send you in circles until you give up or graduate from sheer exhaustion. You’ll walk in with hope and leave with trauma, wondering if you accidentally enrolled in a social experiment. Honestly, the squirrels on campus have more structure in their lives. And if you dare complain, you’ll get a fake support response like, «Thanks for your feedback! We’re undergoing maintenance forever. Please scream into the void or file a ticket we’ll ignore. Best of luck!» Zero stars. Actually, negative stars. The only real learning here is how to survive academic gaslighting.

DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR FROM STAFF

I contacted the admissions office to ask about getting my deposit back. I understand my request may have been past the deadline, but I still expected a respectful conversation. Instead, I was cut off and the call was ended on me without any real explanation or effort to listen. I left the call feeling dismissed and disappointed. I truly expected more professionalism and basic courtesy from a college that’s supposed to support its students. I hope this is addressed so others don’t have a similar experience.

Completing the Addiction and Disability Community Support Worker Diploma at ABES College was an enriching and transformative journey. The instructors were exceptionally knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in student success, while the Program Coordinator provided outstanding guidance every step of the way. The sales team at Reeves does not care about you and they are all about making the money and putting you in major debt. The sales team are extremely predatory and will say anything to get you to sign up. PLEASE I BEG YOU to do your research. Check out SAIT, MRU, Bow Valley or U of C. Do not go with Reeves/CDI College or Robertson. I do not know how they are legally able to keep teaching!

I just finished the Graphic Design Course – the school provides online teachers all day everyday available to answer any questions and were totally accommodating for me when I had to deal with a personal loss in my life. There’s lots of support to make sure everyone succeeds at their own pace – I highly recommend it as an online school.

I took my Orthodontic Module at Columbia College and it was overall an amazing experience! The course material/content was well organized and easy to understand. They also had tons of resources for their students’ disposal. I found that super helpful considering it’s a self instructed course. They also had lots of information on how to navigate the website, the exam, the clinical aspect, etc. The written final exam was fair and very reflective of the content throughout the module! Lastly, the clinical was great as well! It was a one day thing that took about 6 hours, very well organized and the instructors were super nice, helpful, and they all created such a positive learning environment! Overall I highly recommend this college/module! 🙂

Currently on my second semester doing the academic upgrading program, the delivery of the classes has been really convenient for me. My teachers Ms Nancy and Ms sherry are amazing at their job and really patient and supportive towards students. The academic advisor Rachel is really thorough in her job as well, providing resourceful information and establishing a clear understanding of what subjects are needed to achieve your desired career.
Would definitely recommend Columbia College’s academic program for people who are working, stay at home parents and everyone in between.

I recently finished my dental assisting program at Columbia College, and I can confidently say that it was an exceptional experience. The program is extremely well-organized, providing a solid foundation for anyone looking to pursue a career in dental assisting. While it is definitely challenging, it is also very rewarding and enjoyable. The curriculum is comprehensive, covering all aspects of dental assisting in a way that keeps you engaged and motivated throughout.
One of the standout aspects of this program are the staffs (Ms. Dana, Michelline, Joelle,Lisa, Louise, merrillee, Katia,Angela,Lynette and Brooke) All of the facilitators are incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely dedicated to helping students succeed. I went here 3 years ago and stop going because of the staff. I had three courses and was upgrading there. If I could go back in time I would not have chosen this college. My reason for this is because I had a family emergency. For context I have never left the class early before or showed up late. It was 5 minutes before class ended and I packed up and was heading out the door. I didn’t think it was a problem as multiply times before people would leave before half the class was over wouldn’t say anything. On this day there were five that left before me and the teacher didn’t say anything. As I started to open the door exactly five minutes before the class ended Louis said to me «Excuse me! Where are you going?» I told her I had a family emergency and she said «well you can’t just walk out of my class like that especially if you’re on Funding». I didn’t respond because I felt embarrassed. She also threatened to mark me absent for missing the last five minutes. I paid out of pocket to attend the school and when she said it made me feel uncomfortable because she said it and the whole class was looking at me. Not this matters but I was the only colored person that walked out that day. And it made me feel uncomfortable for her to speak to me like that as a colored person as well. As soon I got home. I emailed her explaining how she made me feel. She just replied with «ok» she didn’t apologize even though some students complained to her about her behavior and she would apologize to them the next day. I told her if she wanted to say that to me would could have had a private conversation and didn’t have to say that to me infront of the whole

My son is attending BVC as a first year student and I can’t say enough about how fantastic this centre is. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food options are great, with daily specials and endless options. The campus is modern and clean.

I’m current student at bow valley college yesterday at 1pm i went to registry to ask something about payment issue and there was one girl ahead of me and i was in queue after her the lady at registry office didn’t even acknowledge me she definitely saw me i was in queue. It was monday and registry hours are until 4 pm so i wasn’t there out of hours or anything she just closed the shutter door right at my face. It was very unpleasant unwelcomed experience for me i’m very disappointed.

Terrible. Save your money do NOT waste your time and energy here. It’s a diploma mill. Federal funding should be revoked asap. This school cares more about money, and protecting its bad instructors than the integrity and success of its students.

I graduated in 1980 from the 4 year «Visual Communications» program that spawned a very successful career in commercial photography. I have nothing but fond memories of the staff and facilities. That was a long time ago and I’m sure that much has changed in the world of art education, however, I would love to return and study drawing and sculpting.

Beware this school, it is not all it may appear to be. My daughter applied to the school for fine art and asked for photography as a secondary program ( secondary program is mandatory) After paying tuition fees and buying the various expensive books and supplies my talented and accomplished daughter found herself in a secondary program of jewelry making , that had expensive materials and was of no interest to her. She had done some jewelry making in high school and had sold some pieces but it was not of interest and she was well aware of this. Her regular classes in writing had her writing sentences at the level she had in grade 8 or 9 . She went to the administration with her issues on several occasions ( parents may not have any communication with the school regardless their financial commitments) but the school refused to change her courses or advance her into more appropriate courses. Beyond the boredom and the disinterest in the classes offered she could not justify wasting her time. She had left a full time job that allowed her to explore and create her art at a reasonable wage and was loosing time and money with little or no gain. It was my hope that she would be able to broaden her art and her vision for her future at this school but that was not possible here. I only hope that she will not discount further education because of this experience. I am disappointed in the lack of support and fact that they took the tuition even though she spent less than a two months at their school in courses she never wanted in the first place. Sad representation of higher education.

Offers really unique courses compared to other post secondary institutions. Professors are all very nice, and campus is fun to be on.

Graphic Design, Illustration and Character Design all are a dying profession that is slowly being replaced by A.I.

Also the amount of effort you have to put in for your liberal studies classes is just crazy.

Please don’t bother coming. Just do yourself a favour and don’t bother.
So many go into this field, only to not find a job because of all the competition.

Fantastic staff, fantastic professors, a great community, and a great atmosphere of creativity. Only massive issue is the administration doesn’t seem to have much respect for the students and other staff. Professors are overworked, students constantly struggle to get paperwork and finances dealt with through admin, and the school is working to phase out the design and animation programs that make up a large portion of the student body and interest in the school. Felt very disrespected as a design student by these decisions and by the school management while I was a student. Otherwise, I love the courses I took, the people I learned from, and the people I met. Character Design Alumni of 2022.

This school is nothing but a money pit, the lack of care they take in their students is deplorable- prepare to waste three years of your life only to be turned away from your major through the excuse of «we’ll put you on a waiting list» and on the waiting list you’ll be stuck on for the next two years- absolutely stupid. What’s the point in fixing your portfolio and taking more classes to boost your GPA when you’re still going to be put on a waiting list regardless. Fix your system. Enough is enough and stop disregarding your design and animation students.
