I began going to Torch almost three years ago when my husband and I moved to Calgary. I absolutely love the intensity of the workouts! I find it a great cross training for running, and within the first year, I shaved almost 15 min off my 15 km run time! Aaron is a very knowledgeable trainer, and has a wealth of experience. He always pushes his clients to give their best effort, and gives advice on diet and nutrition. He knows what works and is sustainable. Torch is the best!

I started going to Torch Fitness at the end of 2012. It is by far the longest I have ever stayed with a gym or workout place. The workouts are never the same twice so you never get bored. Even if you go several days in a row the trainers will develop workouts just for you to make sure you work out different muscle groups and don't hurt yourself. With the small class sizes and the basically personalized workouts you feel like you have a personal trainer all to yourself.
The atmosphere at Torch Fitness is amazing and all the other people that are with you in your class are great! There are a lot of workouts where you work with a partner and everyone is always cheering you on and helping you out when they're not out of breath. Just a great place to be!
Torch Fitness has amazing trainers that actually care about you and getting you healthy. They have the most up to date techniques and they help push you so that you can achieve your peak performance. I would recommend these guys in a heartbeat to anyone who is trying to get in the best shape of their life the fastest way they can without hurting or damaging their body in the process.
Huge shout out to Aaron the gym's owner, Tara and Chelsea who I've trained with the most and have helped me find my limits and go beyond. Thanks guys!

I was referred to Torch to do a 4 week challenge by a friend. I normally play volleyball 2x a week on top of my workout schedule so time constraint was a huge obstacle during this challenge for me.
I felt the first week of the challenge was quite easy and I didn't feel like I was getting much added value from Torch, but once Aaron and Jill were comfortable with my form and how I was performing, they increased the difficulty and weight and I enjoyed it much more!
The class is typically structured with weight training and then their 'blasts' (the circuit portion - always the most challenging part of the class for me, but the most fun!). The rest of the challenge was incredibly helpful and fun for me. The blasts were tough and I felt like I was really pushing myself without the muscle fatigue that I have experienced in previous fitness classes, which allowed me to train more often. I feel like I have gained a ton of new knowledge and technique and I am excited to incorporate them into my workouts.
I also really enjoyed the Olympic Lifting classes they offer. I've done some power cleans, but I've never been comfortable enough to try snatches. Aaron offered amazing introduction to the snatch, always corrected my form when he saw it needed improvement, and gave me incredibly helpful tips.
The class sizes are small, so every class feels like a personal training session. Aaron, Jill, and Kayla are so great with answering questions and encouraging you to give it your all without risking injury. Since the class sizes are small, I often saw the same people every time I went to Torch, so it was nice to build those relationships during my time at Torch. Everyone was always incredibly welcoming and offered tips if they saw me doing an exercise incorrectly.

I joined Torch over 2 years ago after one of the challenges and I am amazed at Aaron's creativity and knowledge. In that time I have never done the same workout twice it's always changing and evolving. Even after I tore my ACL skiing I never missed a workout, Aaron was able to modify my workout to help rehab my knee but still challenge me with an intense heart pounding sessions. I was back to regular workouts by 6 weeks and I continue to build strength and stability. Torch workouts are unique and tough and I have seen amazing gains in strength and endurance.

I've been going to Torch Fitness for almost 2 years and I love it! The trainers are great, the workouts are challenging and I always leave the gym feeling fantastic. When I first started working out with Aaron, I discovered muscles I didn't know I had, but I also discovered I was capable of so much more than what I was doing at any other gym on my own. There have been a lot of improvements made to my fitness level and I feel great. The trainers are very motivating and in the time I've been there, I haven't done the same workout twice. The best part is that I get a great workout and it's done in 30 minutes.
