Once a Great Dental Office — Now a Complete Disaster I used to highly recommend this dental office 10 years ago, but unfortunately, the quality of service has drastically declined in recent years. I now strongly urge you to take your business elsewhere. Since my regular hygienist went on maternity leave, I’ve been passed around to four different replacements — all of whom have been shockingly incompetent. Three of them even damaged my permanent wire retainer, forcing me to now go to an orthodontist and get a retainer. Each time I have gone back to get the wire put back the dentists have shrugged it off with rude comments like, "You should just get a retainer," despite my clear explanation that I don’t want one. At my most recent appointment, I calmly expressed my frustration, only to have the dentist interrupt me and say, "Does it make you feel better to yell at me?" I was absolutely stunned — I wasn’t yelling at all, and even the hygienist later apologized for how the situation was handled. It felt like pure gaslighting, and deeply unprofessional behavior. To top it off, the dentist here are dinosaur age, so outdated in both their approach and communication style. I genuinely believe this office is out of touch, and it shows in how they treat their patients and manage their team. I’ve since recommended that all of my friends and family switch to other providers — and they have. There are far better options out there with kind, capable staff who know what they’re doing. Save yourself the stress — this office is not what it used to be.

Absolutely top notch! I called at 4:45 pm with a minor emergency. By 7 pm, I had a new filling in one tooth a new crown on another, and all my teeth were cleaned and polished. The clinic runs like a Swiss watch and all the the dentists and hygienists are friendly and attentive, no matter how busy they are.

Arbour Lake Dental has given me the best experiences. I used to be petrified of going to the dentist, and would require sedation for the simplest of procedures. Dr. Chris Miller has completed changed that for me. I am no longer scared of the dentist. In fact, instead of dodging reminder calls every six months out of fear, I now rebook 6 months in advance. I’ve been going to Arbour lake Dental for a few years now and have seen most of the hygienists, and they are all amazing! The admin staff are so helpful with navigating direct billing to my insurance- Cheryl goes above and beyond and always greets me with such a warm smile. I have seen Dr. Ian as well and he is very friendly and extremely thorough with his exams. Again, my biggest appreciation goes to Dr. Chris though, he’s truly created the safest space for someone as fearful as they come of the dentist. I no longer need sedation at all. But if you do need sedation, they will accommodate. 15/10 would recommend!

I have attended Arbour Lake Dental for so many years, I've lost track! Probably about 40 years to Dr Ian, and a few notable hygienists: Belinda and Diane. Maybe others in between. They stay on schedule. Amenable to appt changes if needed. Use sterile equipment. All have a gentle touch. Provide accurate information about the status of my teeth and gums. Answer all questions thoughtfully. Thanks.

Dr. Miller put a crown on my molar and everything went well. They went the extra mile to get the work completed before the expiration of my dental benefits occurred. The office staff are great and there was only minimal pain experienced. Thank you for the excellent service.

Back in 2012 my wife went to Arbour lake dental as she has had fears of dental treatment. After a consultation, we were hit with a massive estimate of almost 25k. This was a huge amount of money for us which we didn't have on hand . I saw our bank and took out a loan . Gave them a cheque for just shy of 25 k .The procedure was done but not all work completed as he decided against bridges in the back . Instead wanting to do implants at further $$. We told him we had no more money , I had literally borrowed to my maximum. He was completely indifferent to this fact. We were later given a small refund a couple years later for incomplete work . Well because the back teeth were prepped but not completed it caused more stress on the front teeth . One of her fronts broke so we went back seeking help . We were told just to get the same result as we already have would take another 15k or 10k for dentures . We don't have 15 K and not in the position to take another loan . We went to see another dentist who can also provide sleep dentistry . They were in disbelief at the outrageous amount we were initially charged as well as the estimate for repair . We will be going to the other dentist who will not only replace the damaged section but complete the incomplete work , all for a fraction of the price of Arbour lake . I would highly advise anyone thinking about using their service , to definitely seek out a different office . This place is all about massive profit with zero concern of the wellbeing of the patient. I really wish we had gone elsewhere for a second opinion as it would have saved us thousands and the anxiety and frustration of how to fix my wife's smile.. I was visiting Calgary for my bachelorette and my temporary veneer broke off. The clinic was able to get me in first thing and dr Chris was amazing and able to fix my tooth right away. Highly recommend!
