We recently celebrated our son’s 8th birthday at Splitsville Calgary Meridian, and I must say the experience exceeded our expectations. The staff were exceptional; friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. From assisting with the setup to making sure the kids were having fun, they were an absolute pleasure to work with.

Everyone loved the food, and the party packages offered great value. The kids had an amazing time, especially with the newly added arcade section, which was a big hit! The entire venue was clean, well-maintained, and welcoming to all.

Highly recommended for anyone planning a celebration and huge thanks to the fantastic team at Splitsville for making our son’s birthday so special!

Wow since this place got renovated, it has a completely different vibe. Very clean and posh!

You can wear your normal sneakers to play, so no more renting out shoes. Staff are friendly and accomodating as well! No complaints so far, will be back.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. My son and I had a great time bowling and after we hit the arcade. I love that you can wear your own shoes as my son is autistic and struggles with shoes he isn’t comfortable in but wants to go bowling all the time, so this is awesome for us.

I was assisted by Lina she was very helpful she made sure that we were able to get coins to be able to play pool. Honestly, one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a bowling place. We went around midnight on a weekend, expecting a fun night since the place is supposed to be open until 1 AM. Instead, we were met with pure attitude.

The woman working there straight-up ignored us at first, then acted like it was a huge inconvenience that we even showed up. Her tone was rude and dismissive the entire time. She made us feel like we were completely unwelcome, like we were doing something wrong just by being there.

Then she tells us we can’t order food or drinks after 12 AM—why even stay open until 1 if you’re going to shut everything down an hour early? Makes no sense.

While we were bowling, trying to make the best of it, she randomly walks over and starts taking our balls, saying we had «too many,» which was just not true. It felt like she was just looking for reasons to be difficult.

And when I tried to ask her something a second time—because the music was loud—she literally yelled at me. Completely uncalled for.

Terrible attitude, zero professionalism, and the exact opposite of what you want on a weekend night out. Won’t be coming back.

We did our Hockey Team’s Season end party here and it was absolutely amazing. The renovations that they did to place really set them a part. The facility atmosphere was very inviting. The addition of the games was great and the bowling with the different games that you could pick were great. Highly recommend for a team event or birthday party. You will not be disappointed at all. Packages were reasonable. Not too mention , we were very surprised that the pizza and fry platters were quite good!!!

Disappointing experience — especially for families

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt it was absolutely necessary after our visit to Chinook Bowladrome. Unfortunately, the experience was far from enjoyable.

The staff were surprisingly rude and dismissive, especially toward the kids in our group. It was disappointing to see such a lack of patience and basic courtesy in what should be a family-friendly environment. The way they spoke to the children was uncalled for and frankly, disrespectful.

Beyond that, the facility itself is in serious need of renovation. The lanes and equipment felt outdated, and the overall atmosphere was worn down and uninviting. It’s clear that not much has been invested into upkeep or customer experience in quite some time.

We came hoping for a fun outing but left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. I truly hope management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve both the service and the condition of the place. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend it — especially for families.

Made a reservation for a Saturday which was not needed as the place was not busy. They have a lot of lanes. Staff were quick to welcome us and get shoes; I wish they also provided disposable socks too; so please wear your pair of socks else you may need to wear the shoes without socks ( they no not allow you to bowl with your running/ sports shoes). Friendly staff I must say, I see some bad reviews about the staff and service. I did not experience this. We were a group of 4, and we bowled for an hour. The price was good especially for the amount of fun we had. I liked that it was not too busy so we were not shy to bowl gutter balls . I loved my visit to this place and I recommend it.

I have never seen such terrible service. employees are a couple of schoolchildren. At the bar there is a red-haired, uncultured boy with long hair.

We ordered pizza with bacon and mushrooms, waited 30 minutes, received without bacon.
We reordered and got it with bacon but no mushrooms and they threw the plate almost in our faces.
The chairs are so low in height that my chin is level with the tabletop.

I will never recommend this hole

This is a nice place to hang out and have a date.
Even us old fogies goes to put the bumpers down!
The music was a good volume so we could still talk.
Pizza was what you would expect for a bowling place – it was okay.
It was important to know that there was food available if we wanted.
The claw games were fun as well.
Best to call ahead and get a party together for certain nights because bowling is not cheap:)
Party on!

I recently visited this bowling place with my family, and we requested the guard rails for my 12-year-old cousin since we’re not very experienced bowlers and thought it would make things easier. Unfortunately, the guy we spoke to had the worst attitude. He was very judgmental and rude. While some of the other staff were really friendly, this guy with short brown hair was incredibly unprofessional. He even ignored us when we said goodbye and thanked him before we left. It was a very disappointing experience.

Went with a friend who is playing in the provincials for practice during the week Thursday actually, rolled 10 games each with no lane failures and the staff actually helped fine tune some of our game as well so I left a better bowler. Price was super fair and not too busy and parking was right out front.

I go there with an adult with autism. They give a great rate to bowlers with special needs. They treat us like gold and understand people with differing needs. Places like this choose great service and accommodation over only profits. Companies like this are rare and deserve to be recognized for such dedication to the public and especially to people work differing needs.

Nice place for group bowling, we had a group of over 50 adults and children, all of us enjoyed, very friendly and professional staff, food drink also available at premium price, group pricing was also reasonable, so that we could get more people join us. Highly recommended for visit once in a while for fun. Parking is limited, so, it was bit of a problem that wasn’t a big deal, some people parked away.
