Landmark Cinemas Country Hills is one of my favorite theaters!
The seats are very spacious, big, and super comfy…my son loved it and he really relax and enjoy the movie without feeling cramped according to him. The theater itself is clean, modern, and well-maintained. I love the overall atmosphere and how easy it is to have a great experience from start to finish. Seats are Good for couples big loveseat kind off settings. Whether you’re going with friends or family, it’s a perfect spot for movie night. Highly recommend!
Anna Gandara (☆ 5/5)

I absolutely love this place! From the moment I arrived, it felt like a perfect blend of relaxation and entertainment. The theater is top-notch, offering an amazing experience for anyone who appreciates great shows in a comfortable setting. The atmosphere is incredibly soothing, making it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some quality time, whether you’re here solo or with friends.
What stands out most is how relaxing the environment is. It’s the kind of place where you can truly escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and recharge. Whether you’re sitting in the theater or just exploring the surroundings, there’s a sense of calm that makes it special.
I can’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a great spot to relax, enjoy a fantastic theater experience, or simply spend time in a peaceful environment. It’s definitely worth visiting!
Alpha Rays (☆ 5/5)

I went to watch the f1 movie and it was AMAZING. But the theater itself, not so much. The main area is nice and the staff seems pretty nice. But when you walk down the hall it smells musty and a little bit like piss or something. The theater i watched the move was in alright. The seats get uncomfortable over some time but its better than normal seats.
The bathrooms is what gave it 3 stars mainly. The men’s bathroom was very dirty. It smelled very unpleasant and in the stalls it looked like someone peed all over the floor. Very nasty.
Popcorn was very good and fresh and the pricing is decent. I will try it again in the future. Maybe I just went at a bad time.
Ethan Heinrichs (☆ 3/5)

Several times we’ve been here they seem to be severely understaffed. It took us over 40 minutes to get through the concession line to claim our Costco popcorn/drink vouchers which unfortunately made us miss part of our movie.
The employees were nice and seem to be trying their best. We do enjoy the drink machines and the theatre overall.
Michelle Kang (☆ 3/5)

The theater itself was wonderful l, the seats are fantastic, very comfortable and they recline. The size of the theater was nice too, it’s smaller but all seats had great viewing angles. We went on a slower afternoon during the week and had no lines. The building is a little in disrepair, some wall damages and patching going on. The washrooms were clean but not all the sinks and Dyson hand dryers worked. Over all a great experience, the staff were very nice. Definitely going to be coming to landmark more often for those awesome recliners.
Jason Forsyth (☆ 4/5)

Every time I come, there is a line of at least 40 people waiting to buy snacks and drinks, for some reason, they always have only two counters open out of 12!!! Come way too early to grab snacks and watch a movie. NOT RECOMMENDED.
Abdullah (☆ 2/5)

Really great screen and seats, was very comfortable and the staff is all super friendly and easy to deal with. Was an enjoyable experience and will defenitly recommend watching the new Mission impossible here.

Cineplex Odeon Sunridge Spectrum is a fantastic theater with comfy seats, crystal-clear screens, and great sound. The staff are friendly, and the concessions are always fresh. It’s a perfect spot for a fun movie night — highly recommend!
Akshay Palekar (☆ 5/5)

Cinema maravilhoso, sala muito confortável, ótimas opções de refeições, e diversão antes de inicias a sessão, preço justo. E ser brasileira e poder assistir um filme do meu país em um cinema no Canadá é simplesmente gratificante. Amei tudo.
Rosana Buarque (☆ 5/5)

Dirty seats, all the staff is standing around while lines grow longer. A bigger girl with curly hair literally said «I don’t care» they are all just standing around while the movie starts and we are all waiting for our food. Terrible customer service. They only have two people working at the cash registers. Absurd.
Jessica Koshman (☆ 1/5)

Been here quite a lot over the last couple decades. It’s certainly got an aged aesthetic but gets the job done.
The retrofit recliners work alright and there’s plenty of parking. It’s just older in style and you can see that clearly once inside.
I’ve had times where it gets flooded out or semi odd experiences over the years. It gets a decent selection of films but I opt for differing theater options in recent years if I can help it. Theaters that are more modern. This one is alright.
Jason Stettner (☆ 3/5)

$42 for THIS view.
$16 for a handful of French fries and a bottle of water. AND there was no one there to make my order so I was late to the movie.
Mr. Jesse (☆ 1/5)

Always a good time, even when it’s busy, things seem to run smoothly and quickly. Theatre was and is always clean when we go. We saw Lilo and Stitch in 3D and absolutely loved it and had a wonderful experience.
Richelle C (☆ 5/5)

We took our kids here to watch the Minecraft movie – things were fine at first. Nice staff up front and at concessions. However, during the movie, there were sound issues where the volume was so low, it was almost inaudible at times. I thought it was just me but then my husband made the same complaint. We looked for staff after we went to the washroom but since we watched the late show, none were around and we figured we can handle it later since we had to get the kids to bed.
I filed a complaint to the Cineplex corporate email and this is where things became super negative. Firstly, I didn’t receive a response that week so I had to follow-up. When Stephanie replied, she was rude and condescending – pretty much saying I had 4 minutes to find staff that evening and take care of the issue that night. Not really after our bio break – and honestly did she expect me to walk to different hallways and rooms?!? I asked her to engage a manager and she closed the ticket.
I started another ticket and asked to engage with management. Stephanie again didn’t acknowledge my request – «Management has been made aware of the issues at Cineplex Odeon Sunridge Spectrum Cinemas, and that was their response as was previously communicated to you. Unfortunately, we will be unable to compensate for these issues.»
I will choose to go to Landmark going forward due to the unprofessionalism and unaccountability at this chain.

Nice theatre. Very spacious and clean. Lots of parking. Theatre seats are comfortable. They had some good deals for spring break for movies like Secret Life of Pets. There’s some arcade games at the front and some toys you can buy. Some seating areas and an ice cream vending machine.
Marta Borowska (☆ 4/5)

The cinema attendant or usher for Seton CINEPLEX VIP today is rude, maybe because we are not her race. The greeting that we got was I need her ID which is for my daughter who is already 23 years old. She didn’t bring her ID so we ask if a photo of an ID is okay, but without even slight consideration, she said No, I want a physical ID card. What’s so big of a deal when we’re even 15 minutes before showtime. And the booking should have reminded me to bring an ID.
Shirley Arpilleda (☆ 1/5)

Great theatre!
Comfy, Clean and in great condition. Lots of friendly staff to help out and manage this Cineplex. I’d give it 6 Stars if I could!
Deenu Patel (☆ 5/5)

Just wanted to give a shout-out to the staff here — I was sipping on stupid juice when I booked our tickets, and showed up 5 minutes before show time with tickets for the University VIP theatre instead of this one. They still let us take a couple of empty seats in the very front row, though they also gave us the option to pick seats in the non-VIP theatre and still have access to the food/drink menu. No idea if this is all policy or not but I really appreciate that we weren’t just turned away at the door for not having the right tickets, I wouldn’t have even tried to argue with them if they had. Thank you guys for saving our date night!
Allison Wade (☆ 5/5)

First time going to a VIP Cineplex. I didn’t take many pictures because I was just in awe the whole time. I didn’t know going to a movie could feel this luxurious . The atmosphere is great, the staff are very friendly and helpful if you don’t know how the VIP experience works (like me), and the seats are extremely comfortable. They recline, and if you feel cold, they even heat up! There is a huge selection of food to choose from as well.
Best part is, it’s pretty affordable as well (mostly on Tuesdays!) to have the VIP experience! I definitely recommend coming here to watch a movie!
Nest Fuen (☆ 5/5)

Nobody seems to answer the phones here, ever. Or even respond to voicemails. Their projector broke down on premier night for superman and i got my tickets changed to a different date but Couldn’t make it so I spent hours calling trying to get a hold of someone to let them know so i can change the date once more but nobody ever answers. Whats the point of having phones if you’re just going to ignore them? And I’m calling at noon so i know it ain’t busy there. Just terrible service.
Travis Beaulieu (☆ 2/5)

The popcorn is almost always made fresh. Great VIP theater—spacious, clean, and everything is well-maintained. Plenty of parking available, comfortable seating, and some great movie admission deals on offer in the Cineplex app.

Robert Park (☆ 5/5)

There are two people working the concession on the North side of the public area and six empty cash positions. The lineup is unreal. Perhaps Cineplex could contribute to lowering the youth unemployment statistics. Considering the cost of snacks, the return is probably $1 spent for every $50 in revenue.
Norman Dupuis (☆ 2/5)

It was a Monday, and no one was really around. It was pretty quiet, the line up was fast. We saw The Karate Kid. It was a good movie! Popcorn was great. They have a mini popcorn deal, but it’s more expensive than just a small popcorn. They didn’t have recliners at this theater or any V.I.P. seating.
Shawna P (☆ 5/5)

This at one time was a great cinema. Today, they do not open their gates until minutes before the first show. AC does not tune on until the advertising begins on screen. No food outlets are open to get food before the movie. Only popcorn, which isn’t exactly food. Since this cinema opened many years ago, it is continuing to decend in quality and comfort. I will be considering home cinema going forward. 10 minutes before the start time, and it’s warm in here.
Harold Rozario (☆ 1/5)

It is disappointing that there isn’t a protocol for when there is technical difficulties during a screening.
Today, an entire audience paid $21 to see the new Marvel film. Part way through the movie, the video disappeared (sound still running). A patron left the theatre to tell someone that something was wrong. After what felt like 10 minutes, the movie came back on. The film was not backed up so that the audience could see the important scenes that were missed. The audience was not offered anything to compensate for missing the thing they had paid for. If we went to a restaurant, and a sandwich was supposed to come with fries, it seems fair that the patron should receive either fries or something in lieu of missing fries.
So then I tried to call the theatre. There was no at to speak to a real person. No «Contact Us» on the website. No recourse. Ne real human affiliated with the cinema seemed to care about the overall experience of the customers they serve.
So that will be the reason that we don’t attend this theatre again. And still, no one is likely to care. It was a wonderful reminder of why care is more important than skill or education.
Please put together a policy, and ensure the staff know what to do. Perhaps there *is* a policy, but no one enacted the policy today. So an entire audience just left feeling disappointed at missing the film they wanted to see.
Charla ST (☆ 2/5)

The place was dirty, concession lines were painfully slow. The sound and screen were fine. We had a couple distrubances during our movie which should have been handled by a staff member, but once the film started no one ever came back to check in so we ended up with some Karen yelling at people throughout the movie.
Jesse Anderson (☆ 3/5)

I went here to see Dune 2 in iMax, there theatre was nice and the chairs were comfortable enough! But I don’t think I would return, I would much rather go to one of the other theatres with really comfortable seating like the reclining two-seater couches. But if you prefer iMax the sound and size of the screen was awesome here! I wasn’t too happy with their menu, and options for drinks. There is only like 5 options for bottled drinks here, not a good variety. Unfortunately when I went, the 3 vending machines with other bottled beverages was shut down, so not great timing. But overall our experience here was decent!

This Crowfoot theatre is the absolute best spot for kids parties. Parents and kids alike were excited for the Minecraft movie release. Tammy at Crowfoot Cineplex helped us organize well in advance of party day – deciding on party times, exploring food options, party room and timing for cake.
It was nice and hands off, and the room itself was (I’m hoping) sound proof, interactive (with a dry erase wall), and lively with colouring on tables and foam balls being thrown everywhere!
Milla was exceptional – helping us the day of. Reserving theatre rows for our group and snack packs for each child. The kids really enjoyed choosing their own drink for the movie and meal for the party room.
I loved that the kids had room for both downtime (in the movie) and high energy (in the party room after). Thanks again to Crowfoot Cineplex for what was a memorable party and hope to book again soon,
Jen

My husband and I saw Mission Impossible just over a week ago and I was very impressed with how clean the Crowfoot Theatre was. So many retail places and event centers are kind of icky these days and so wanted to give a shout out to the employees and management team at the Crowfoot Cinema. Great job! Thanks for making our experience enjoyable!
Heather Wiberg (☆ 5/5)

Amazing service! We went to see a movie with my little brother, who has dairy allergies, and asked if the popcorn butter could be kept separate from any other food items. Qiana at the counter was super understanding and handled it with no problem. Really appreciated the kindness from her and the staff
David Lugada (☆ 5/5)

This is one of my fave theatres. The recliners are great. I like the idea of heated seats but the time I paid for them, only one of 3 was working.
The girl who works at the Xscape arcade here is AMAZING. She has the patience of a Saint and treats all the kids so kindly.
I like the system of being able to load cards at the arcade and the game where you can try to pick up rolls of tickets. It’s a claw game you can actually win at.
There are a few games that are money traps, but we love the fishing game and Jurassic Park, Connect 4, ice hockey etc.
I’ve had only good encounters with the staff.
Sunny Wellington (☆ 5/5)

The movie hall interiors look a bit dated. The non-laser projectors are noticeably less sharp and so is the audio quality. As is the practice, the Popcorn combos are exorbitantly high priced, so you end up spending more on them than the actual movie ticket. The seats though have generous leg room and recline nicely.
Redev Pramod Batish (☆ 3/5)

This was a great and clean place to watch the movie. It’s a newly renovated place with great seats. Follow me for more reviews.
Best of the best (☆ 5/5)

For the 3rd time. My husband and I have had a terrible experience when purchasing a large popcorn. My husband has a reaction towards butter. We asked them to split it into 2 different bags. They said they can’t put it in a regular popcorn bag, so they gave a candy size bag. This time we brought our own bag and they refused to use it. I find the supervisor is very obstinate and rude. She likes to show she has more power over everyone. Your policy’s are ridiculous. They really need to change there policy’s and stop being so cheap. Very disappointed with Crowfoot Cineplex Theater.

Horrible.
Whoever decided on this new setup where I basically need to grab my own stale popcorn and drink, yet still pay a premium needs to have their heads checked.
Even if you buy concession tickets online, you still need to have a person at the till validate your coupons. Defeats the whole purpose of online purchasing if you still need to wait in line. Also, who knows when that popcorn was made, someone could have molested it and put it back. No thanks.
Movies aren’t cheap to go to anymore. If I’m going to self-service my concessions, then you best be discounting the price. I can honestly say I’ll never go back here. Cineplex has the right idea with their VIP setup: they charge a premium but have the servers come to me. Perfect. RIP Shawnessy theatre.. we had a good run over the last 20 years.. but Landmark had to go rub their pee pee on it and ruin everything. Sad.
Mike (☆ 1/5)

We celebrated my son’s birthday at Landmark Shawnessy, and overall, it was a good experience! Booking online connected us to the party staff, but I had a hard time following up—they only responded about a week before the party, which was a bit stressful.
Thankfully, the party itself went smoothly, and the on-site party assistant was really nice and helpful. Despite the initial communication issues, we’d still recommend it, especially for short-notice parties! PS outside food is allowed yay, except for the same variants they have available in their snack station.
Issa Juco (☆ 5/5)

Theater seems nice but the seating arrangement can be awkward. There is a railing bar that could block bottom view of the screen. Also the chairs are way too soft, you sink in and that can actually feel quite uncomfortable for your back!
James M (☆ 3/5)

Первый раз решили сходить с семьей в кинотеатр в Калгари. Зал большой и чистый , кресла очень удобные с реклаймерами, можно почти лежать и вытянуть ноги. Хороший звук и видео. Везде чисто.

Saw a movie on June 14th with my husband.
Pluses: reclining seats were great, movie was good
Negatives: ticket machines at front didn’t work well or at all; the concession area was absolutely filthy; popcorn is self-serve. Why do you hire staff if they don’t do anything?
I always really liked this theater but thinking we won’t return. It looked like a dive.
Jackie Morgan (☆ 2/5)

My niece invited my kids to watch Kung Fu Panda 4 in 3D today, and it was a great experience. This place is much better compared to other places we’ve been to. It’s very clean and comfortable, with reclining chairs. My kids really enjoyed going there. Plus, they get half-price every Tuesday, which is a nice bonus.
Acjmmb Zanjograce (☆ 5/5)

Haven’t been here in a while. Won’t go back. Theatre 2 had not been cleaned. Concession set up was confusing, had no posted signage as to what the process was, had long lines—first at the till, then again at the soft drink dispensers (one was not working, several had no ice). Straws, lids, buttery topping, and napkins were all in different places, many dispensers were empty. Toilets had no toilet paper and the hand dryer didn’t work. Can anyone explain how a cinema with a dozen theatres all showing movies can get away with only having two toilets in the women’s washroom???? Disability access was not clearly marked, elevator was locked off, no staff to help, only one person taking tickets to get into theatres section. No visible supervision or management to report issues to. Gong show.

Great location.
This place is unique and compared to other cinemas because there is a children’s play slide right inside the movie theater.
Parents make sure that if you’re going there with your kids to go there early so they can play inside the theater slide… Other than that it’s just a regular theater but the kids won’t be able to access the slide leaving them disappointed.. go early I say!!
Robert Saka (☆ 5/5)

Great theater offering modern features. Child friendly screen and various arcade like offerings. Decent screen number but limited plays per day and nothing limited viewing wise so you can’t catch obscure films here.
I have had three times where the first theater gets shut down for audio issues, but they always give a golden free ticket. Just kinda annoying if you set your day around it.
Tons of parking, nice staff and custom drink pouring machines. When things go smoothly a great place to watch a movie.

I have never been disappointed by a show here!
Every performance is top-notch from stage design to acting all the way to the front of house staff and everything in between!
most recently, I attended their production of «a streetcar named desire» — I had some questions and concerns about my seats and was helped out by a staff member Ashley who was about the most accommodating a person could be which really made my experience world class!
I couldn’t be more grateful to have such a great theatre institution here in the city.
I highly recommend any chance you can get to go to a performance with them!!!
John Plumley (☆ 5/5)

Legally Blonde was a total blast! Go see it. 5 stars for the performance. One star off due to having my knees mashed into hard wood for 2.5 hours, but I can’t really fault them too much for not accommodating my 6’3″ frame. Still though, interesting things to see and nice staff. Prices were decent too.

It was my first time in Max Bell Theatre today and I’m absolutely in love with it. We watched «A Streetcar named Desire» and this is a great performance. Actors and decorations are great!
I was sitting in the first row, wouldn’t recommend it , because it’s to close to the scene and my neck little bit hurts, nevertheless I still enjoyed the show. And there is always half price in bar one hour before the show enjoy!
Alisa Ivanytska (☆ 5/5)

Our family has cherished a special tradition of attending Theatre Calgary for 25 years, especially at Christmastime. This year, the improvement and creativity brought to the production were truly remarkable!
If you still have time in your schedule, don’t miss this year’s rendition of A Christmas Carol. It’s an extraordinary show—by far the best we’ve ever seen! Simply amazing!

We had an excellent experience at Theater Calgary. This is the first time I have been to the max bell theater and I loved the more intimate size of it, the small size balconies, and the classic red velvet chairs. It had an old theater nostalgia with modern comfort.
We were able to bring drinks and food into this theater.
Parking is easy due to the two parkaids connected to the Theatre system.
Would recommend seeing a show here!

Globe Cinema offers a uniquely charming film-going experience. The atmosphere is wonderfully nostalgic, a step back in time to a simpler era of cinema. It’s a great choice for those seeking something different from the usual large chain theaters, providing a cozy and intimate setting that enhances the movie-watching enjoyment.
The cinema stands out for its thoughtful programming and its contribution to the local arts scene. Supporting them helps ensure that diverse and quality films continue to be shown, and the quality of the films and sound are reasons enough to visit. A great way to enjoy a film!

I loved my experience at globe cinema. Intimate, vintage and cozy. I went to see no other land and this was the perfect venue for it. The theater gets darker than traditional theaters. Concession serves popcorn and the typical treats along with a small selection of local beers and other adult beverages. Parking is free after six on the street!

Globe Cinema in Calgary is a charming throwback. Stepping inside feels like a delightful time warp to a classic movie-going experience. While it’s certainly showing its age, that’s precisely where its appeal lies. It’s a fun and unique way to see a film.
We were fortunate enough to catch «Stories We Have Earned,» a truly compelling film that I’d highly recommend seeking out. The cinema itself enhances the experience, adding a touch of nostalgia. And a definite highlight? The popcorn. They understand the importance of evenly distributed butter, and they deliver! If you’re looking for something different from the typical multiplex, Globe Cinema is a worthwhile visit.

My first time watching a movie at that cinema. We loved it a lot! We watched ‘body double’. The cinema has a great atmosphere, sound was great as well. Highly recommend! ❤️

I love this theatre. Very hip. Lots of festivals and throwback screenings along with new movies with quality that demands a big screen but maybe appeal too beyond the mainstream to hold ground at the multiplexi. A night out at the Globe always makes me feel cooler and more cultured.

What a cool place, I love watching old movies here , the vibe is right!
Jeff Varty (☆ 5/5)

Popcorn was great. Movie was awesome. Seats were uncomfortable.

Always a pleasure to come to Globe Cinema. If you’re debating buying tickets, do it! Supporting independent theatres is cool ❤️
I’ve watched some of my favourites here, and always check the website! Might be something playing that you like! They regularly seem to have older classics playing.

Cineplex Odeon Westhills Cinemas provides a generally pleasant moviegoing experience. The cleanliness of the facility is consistently well-maintained, and it fosters a comfortable atmosphere for audiences. Staff appear to be attentive and strive to ensure patrons enjoy their time, often readily assisting with seating or inquiries.
A significant draw is the variety of concessions available, and the options cater to diverse tastes. Though prices are standard for a cinema, the quality of food seems to exceed typical expectations. Ultimately, it’s a reliable choice for a standard, enjoyable outing.

Customer Reviews
I had a very disappointing experience at Cineplex last night Saturday July 12th around 9:15 PM. The nighttime female manager was extremely unprofessional and condescending. I felt talked down to and disrespected — it came across as if she was more focused on asserting power than helping a customer. As someone who came to enjoy a movie, I left feeling frustrated and uncomfortable. I hope Cineplex takes this seriously and provides better training in customer service and respectful communication. If not I do not see myself returning especially with landmark and their updated facilities.

THE ARCADE:
Or lack thereof… Was 6 games, 1 out of order and 2 other ones horribly dated. If there’s even one other group in that little room, your selection is severely limited.
SEATING:
I opted for the D Box tickets, assuming that the substantially higher price would’ve given some modicum of comfort. The seats are by no means adjustable and the «enhanced user experience» was a seat that jostled and tilted you along with the music. I hated literally every second of it.
THE FOOD:
No one expects theatre cuisine to be good but the portions were small and my fountain pop was at least half full of ice.
PARKING:
Perhaps the most frustrating part was showing up at an evening show and seeing that the 30 or so parking stalls were all occupied. I needed to park in a completely different parking lot.
SUMMARY:
This is a perfect example of how a theatres only goal is to separate you from your money with as little effort as possible. I paid almost $300 for vibrating orange seats and the luxury of being disrespected by their concession attendants.

Super disappointed that they don’t have modern seats. Welcome to the 1990s when you go to this theater. I was so disappointed I wanted to leave. The world has moved on update your theater! No legroom squeezed into a a seat sharing an armrest this is pathetic in 2025. Extra bonus it was super hot.
Rick Kuny (☆ 2/5)

Seen Jurassic park at 650 today. The theatre was so hot people were leaving including my party. They said it’s because it’s opening weekend. I say monitor the thermostat a bit more.

The movie was great. The service was okay, i wouldn’t go there again though. Im upset that i got the kids the mini combos and they didnt bother let me know they didn’t have any promo candy just gave me old zizzlers licorice, like w.e. i mean you decided to take the family with your hard earned money for them to be like w.e thats all we got. Yeah i can just not buy it , idk and on top that the popcorn you get charged to get layered butter pocorn really and its was salty like my kidneys hurt. Definitely not coming to this one theatre. Cant even go back to get a refill because they have completely closed thats it. We thought be convenient to go since its around the house but not again rather drive further away.
Cristian Mendoza luna (☆ 2/5)

Yes, it is expensive. Yes, it is fun! Yes, I would go again. What can I say? This theatre has a full variety of food, fun and entertainment. Parking can sometimes be a challenge so arrive early. Payment can be done via kiosk or through the food vendors. They have an arcade, gift area as well as seating. Cineplex Westhills is clean, comfortable and spacious. They also offer gift cards, coupons and other types of discounts. If you have a special event, they also have a party room that can be booked. Wheelchair accessible on either side of the theatre.
Michael Black (☆ 4/5)

When I went there it was during the week and it felt like I owned the place. Very few people there, probably because they were working. Saw The Amateur. Excellent t movie a d of course the popcorn was great! Enjoyed myself immensely
