Great little 9-hole gem of a course. Mature trees, well-maintained grounds, and a good challenge for most golfers.

This course is absolutely beautiful and has a lot of potential, but unfortunately, our experience was ruined by the course marshal. As a beginner, this was my first time playing here, and I was excited to learn and enjoy a round with friends.

While I understand the importance of keeping up the pace, the marshal (Beth or Betty) took it way too far. After initially telling us to speed up—which we respected by skipping an entire hole and a half—she continued to follow us for four more holes. It was uncomfortable and completely took the fun out of the game.

What’s more frustrating is that she said the course wasn’t meant for beginners. It’s a city course—where are people supposed to learn and improve if they’re made to feel unwelcome?

Golf should be enjoyable for everyone, especially at a public course. Unfortunately, this experience left a bad taste in our mouths and made what should have been a great day feel stressful and discouraging.

Hope the course reconsiders how it supports new players in the future.

Confed is a great city course for its price point. Despite being only 9 holes there is still a good mix of par 5s 4s and 3s. With few hazards, the course is good for newer golfers as well. The clubhouse serves sandwiches and hot dogs with a small seating area.

Best city course by far. Stunning views—especially on the back nine. Solid range and a fun layout. The valley nine draws a few characters. Beer and hot dogs are overpriced, as per tradition.

Course was in beautiful shape. Pace of play was average with groups of 3-4 per hole and busy as soon as daylight breaks. Course was a little shorter than what I was prepared for. Friendly staff affordable prices and love transit station right infront of them for easy way back to downtown. Would definitely recommend and would play again. Only suggestion would be water available on few holes.

Great bang for your buck! Usually the pace of play is roughly 4 hours. Greens are slow. Great staff. Valley 9 is harder than you think! Only downside is you can only hit irons. No woods or driver so be prepared for a breakfast ball!

After a few rounds here I must say I’m loving Shaganappi. Especially for a city course, it’s in great shape and offers challenging play, and spectacular views of the city.

I’ve played a handful of other courses in the Calgary area now, all of them costing more than Shaganappi, and none of them being as enjoyable.

The staff are super friendly and very informative for a new player to the course. A decent little snack bar available as well.

Don’t bank on much of a pro shop as it is a city course at the end of the day. Basics like tees and balls available but not much else.

I look forward to playing another handful of rounds here!

I was taken here with my partner and I’ve never tried golf before and he’s been out of practice so naturally it takes longer as I’m trying to learn the play. This course is 100000 x NOT beginner friendly. I felt ridiculed and humiliated when the game warden came up and said » you’re playing too slow» I understand people are behind us but honestly it ruins the game for us too. I’m definitely not recommending this course and I’ll definitely not be returning..how do you learn to play if you’re not given the opportunity too? Huge fail on this golf facility.

Love this course very challenging holes. Tough starting hole number one with green surrounded by water Great double dog leg par 5 to well guarded elevated bunker green. Seven par three and two gullies to shoot over. Some of the best golf ⛳️ views of the city from this back nine

Nice city golf course with excellent views of the city on the back nine. My only complaint is the first hole is an island green. You don’t even have a chance to warm up for such a challenge by playing a few holes first! I recommend the golf course regardless of this issue.

We decided that we would move our annual charity golf tournament to Blue Devil. We had so much great feedback from our guests after our event about how amazing it was. From being on the course, to the meals and dealing with Blake and his staff by far was top notch. The entire day was seamless for us!!! The drink recommendations were spot on, and everything came out quickly and just as we ordered. It really added to the relaxing atmosphere after a day on the course. Great staff. Course is in good condition for how much newbies use it.

Welcomes people with disabilities and accomplishments them.

Essential gear that you forgot can be found here. Can rent clubs.

No driving range

Overall a great if not the best city course.

For a public city owned course this was a great place for a round of golf. I really enjoyed the course. There are some intimidating par 3s that really make you test your accuracy and club choices. The par 5s are quite forgiving so you are able to play them with a fun attitude.

This course is amazing for being a public Calgary course
Great long challenging holes
The greens are challenging and fast
I used every club in my bag
It’s not over priced for what it is
It is Definitely worth playing
It’s more for an intermediate golfer tho and
If you play anything over bogey golf
Than maybe you should go try lakeview
Cause this course is somewhat challenging
And I have golfed my entire life

Love this course I’ll be back

This is the best City owned public golf course in Calgary.

Right now there are three holes that are closed and under construction to allow for an expansion of the Deerfoot turn off so it pretty much guarantees you the best score on a round of golf that you have ever had! LOL

Apparently the construction of the holes is ahead of schedule so it may not be too long into next season when they are complete. The 15 holes remaining are beautiful and mature.

The staff (lady with glasses) are so welcoming and positive that you can’t stay upset after meeting her.

Golf season is like life, too short so get out there before it is over.

I took advantage of one of their twilight specials 18 holes for $80 as a guest on Sunday night. I got partnered up with a threesome who was super friendly, kept up well with the pace of play, and only playing the front 9. The course was amazing despite there being some off and on rain. My only problem was on back 9. Holes 10-13 had their flags removed, and the gate between 10 and 11 was locked as I believe the staff was trying to close early.

We had our wedding here in August 2022 and could not be more happy with the space, the staff, and the food. You would never expect a golf course to have food this good, but us and our guests were very impressed with Chef Cam’s offerings. We had our ceremony on the balcony which offers views of COP, downtown, and the mountains, followed by a reception indoors in their beautiful newly renovated banquet hall. Price was very reasonable for what we got, and everyone was a pleasure to work with.

Top tracer is great. Comfy couches and hang out table top. Pizza and wings were pretty good! The ball machine broke on us but the staff brought buckets to accommodate. We have done it twice now and enjoy the 2 hours alot. The staff are young and more focused on socializing behind the counter but it didn’t hinder the experience other than us thinking «back in my day we were professional». Fun place. Happy to revisit.

I bought a membership here, but when I returned, they refused to honor it, saying the owner had changed. No notice, no refund, not even a small discount — just a hard no.

The address and phone number stayed the same, so it feels like an excuse to avoid responsibility. If ownership changes mean they can cancel memberships at will, why would anyone trust this place?

Buy a membership at your own risk — it may be worthless next time you visit.

Great value at this course—highly recommend! I played two rounds at Fox Hollow in May and had a great experience both times. The fairways and greens were in excellent shape, and the staff were really welcoming. The front 9 is a bit more open and forgiving, while the back 9 offers a fun mix of challenges. Holes 9 and 18 are downhill, drivable par 4s, and it’s always a blast trying to bomb it to the green.

I played both rounds with my dad and his retired friends, who play here every day at the crack of dawn. They all really enjoy this course, and I can see why.

I’ll definitely be back when I get a break from work!

It’s a solid course for the price. However, if you’ve never played here before, be warned, the first 9 is hard hat golf. Most holes run parallel to each other, and the clientele very often miss their fairway. Rarely do you hear «fore». Can’t fault the course for this, it’s just reality. The back 9 is a lot more fun in my opinion. Holes are more spread out and down in a valley so to speak. A fair challenge, I’ve always had a good time here.
The staff were very friendly and the carts were clean, if a little on the older side. I believe you can hit balls at the golf dome to warm up. Greens were in great shape early in 2025.

This is my 3rd year in a ladies league at Fox Hollow. Not only to I continue to come back because of the lovely ladies I golf with, but the staff have always been so great too. Whether it’s the cart ladies coming by with a smile on their face, coming in or calling to ask «silly» questions at the club house or the Marshall waving to us as he rolls by. I’ve had nothing but great experiences at Fox Hollow and I look forward to coming every week during the summer!

Great course in the city. Reasonable pricing on green fees, and a central location Fox Hollow has a lot going for it. The restaurant is decent with a nice patio. Only downside of it being central is that the course has a lot of noise. From the nearby airport, train track, nearby earth movers, and deerfoot the course is far from quiet. Trees are also scarce, but the greens and course are always in good shape. Good place to practice driving the ball straight, since many of the holes are quite narrow… Fore!

I have been golfing at Fox for quite a few years now and during the pandemic I was more flexible with my time most days and therefore i signed up for their ladies league! I can’t say enough great things about my experience during these past few years, I have brought new friends to the course, played with old friends through the years and am always happy to see ladies I have met along the way. The course staff is great, always pleasant when going in to the clubhouse and helpful. I would recommend fox to anyone, playable course, back 9 has pretty features! Overall would recommend fox to anyone who enjoys golf.
They also have a nice patio to grab some eats or a few beverages!

Customer Reviews
First off, the service is top notch here. The guy behind the counter when we were there Saturday afternoon knows what’s he’s doing. He’s also very helpful.
This is the second simulator that I’ve used and while I’m not speaking from experience, it felt very advanced. There was no noticeable lag and picked up every shot in every direction I hit. It was also really cool to have a live replay of my shots from a couple angles – very helpful for improving my technique.
We played in room 1 and it had a lot of space. You could easily have at least 4 people play in the room. It was nice to have seats as well. The room had bare walls though, so could benefit from a couple paintings just to liven up the space.
We didn’t take any drinks or food but was nice to see there’s a lot of drink options on site and seemed very easy to order in.

Absolutely amazing experience at this golf simulator! The setup was super clean, the graphics were sharp and realistic, and the ball tracking was spot on. Whether you’re working on your swing or just looking to have a good time with friends, this place is perfect.

Shoutout to the guy behind the counter — I think his name was Mike — he was incredibly friendly and helpful. He took the time to walk us through the system, gave us a few tips, and made sure we had everything we needed. Honestly, his customer service made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting UDR Indoor Golf – Royal Oak, and it’s safe to say this place has quickly become my go-to spot for indoor golf. The simulators here are top‑notch—with the rotating floor providing realistic lies (fairway, rough, sand) and premium shot tracking that gives you detailed feedback on everything from launch to spin.

But what truly sets this place apart is the staff—especially Sonny. From the moment I walked in, Sonny greeted me with a warm, genuine smile and made sure every aspect of our session was smooth. He was unbelievably kind and incredibly professional: booking our bay, offering helpful tips on using the simulator, and even helping us adjust settings to suit our skill levels. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor made the experience feel personal and top‑tier.

The facility itself is clean and modern, with well‐lit private bays and a welcoming lounge where you can enjoy snacks and drinks while you wait . The hourly rate is a fair $45 with a premium simulator system—excellent value for what you’re getting.

Overall, UDR Indoor Golf – Royal Oak offers exceptional technology, a comfortable atmosphere, and genuinely outstanding hospitality—thanks in large part to Sonny. Whether you’re working on your game or just having a fun round with friends, I highly recommend it. The combination of high‑end simulators and first‑class service makes this a standout choice in Calgary’s indoor golf scene.

I had an amazing time using this golf simulator — easily one of the best experiences I’ve had off the course. The technology was super accurate, the graphics were realistic, and the gameplay felt smooth and immersive. Whether you’re working on your swing or just looking to have some fun with friends, this setup delivers.

What really stood out was the service. The staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure we had a great time. They walked us through how everything worked, answered all our questions, and made sure we had drinks and snacks if we needed them.

Highly recommend this place for golfers of any skill level. I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing experience. Came here Saturday and enjoyed so much that we came back on Sunday for another session. So many courses ranging from any skill level to match your golf style or needs. They sell drinks (alcoholic or non alcoholic), and you can even order food to that building which is cool. The guy working is fantastic and accommodated any needs or questions we had. For the price of $25/hr it is so worth it. I will be back

Fun golf sim with great course selection, and the variable turf is really good. Screens are bright and the private rooms are cost. Good drink prices too

Love this place. We hit open Bay 6 today. I was a little worried about playing in an open bay, but we were pretty secluded. I love the spinning turf for fairway, rough and sand. This place is great value.

We searched for a long time to find the right venue for our wedding, and it was quite the quest. However, when we visited Hampton Golf Club, we decided to choose this place for our wedding, and we have no regrets. Loreena, who initially met us and explained all the details, was very attentive and answered all our questions. Later, we worked with Terrie, the golf club manager. She is a professional in her field and simply a good person, as I asked numerous questions or made some changes each time, and she was always accommodating. Additionally, she allowed us to take some photos on the golf course itself, for which we are incredibly grateful.

I also want to mention our bartender, Taylor. He made every effort to ensure everything was perfect at our wedding. We barely had to ask for something, and he would immediately take care of it. Moreover, he was very friendly, which is essential for such a celebration. Overall, we want to thank the entire staff, the chefs (the food was delicious), all the waitstaff, and everyone who helped create our special day. We will definitely be recommending this venue for your event.

The venue was well-maintained, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The staff was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our event ran smoothly. Loreena was an absolute pleasure to work with from planning to pack up! The food and service were top-notch, making our time there even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Booked this venue for a 50th Anniversary Celebration. Planning with Lorena was a breeze. There were many details that required attention and Lorena was able to fulfill them all! She was very accommodating, kind, friendly, easy to speak with and respectful. The room looked incredible! My DJ/Emcee was able to use the television via laptop with ease. Declan was a fantastic bartender – super friendly, very helpful, made sure we were taken care of and was eager to help anywhere he could. The same should be said for Taylor – she was bright, friendly, very accommodating and easy to engage with. Even after our timeline went way out of wack, she was still able to make things go smoothly. She even came out and tore up the floor when Cadillac Ranch came on – it was awesome! The crowd loved it! The kitchen staff were on their game that evening, everyone raved about how good the food was! Beautiful event. Went down, virtually, stress free. Thanks again to all the staff there, top notch venue. Thank You to the Hamptons Golf Club!

I am grateful to have my dream wedding at The Hamptons Golf Club. The ceremony site was not only stunning but the perfect place for our memories and photos. The patio was the ideal place for cocktail hour where our guests enjoyed delicious appetizers overlooking the stunning view while we had our wedding party photos on one of the greens. Our meal was perfection, prime rib with yorkshire pudding and roasted turkey with squash stuffing, many salads and sides. They were accommodating for the dietary needs of our guests as well. Liz and the staff were truly amazing. Liz helped us plan and coordinate and made sure it was the perfect day for all of us. Oakley our bar tender was amazing and made sure we always had a drink in hand. I would highly recommend The Hamptons Golf Course !!! When I get more pictures from the photographer, I will add as I can guarantee they will demonstrate the beauty of this place!!

I’ve had the lovely pleasure to have my wedding hosted by the Hamptons Golf Club, without a doubt they were amazing hosts. Especially the help of Makayla Salina supervision. She was easy to coordinate the needs of our wedding, adjustments, last minute requests, etc. she was also available on our wedding and made sure all our guests were happy and attended to. And cudos to her checking in with the bride and groom during the dinner.

The food at the Hamptons is amazing.. my family and I just casually stopped by a few times just for their food and their amazing views.

The photos attached of the wedding venue and how the Hamptons accommodated to our requests and designs (by estelita the pro).

Highly recommend for anyone to stop by the Hamptons for a good time and memorable experience.

I don’t like this course too much for a few reasons. No driving range, no par 5’s, only 3 par 4’s then the rest are par 3. One of the holes in 63 yards. Basically just chipping it onto the green from the tee box. Trees make it a really narrow and small course. Half the tee boxes were closed. It was 2 stars not 1 because it’s as expected in the middle of the city

An excellent early morning or post work «snack» of 9 holes of golf.

The employees are wonderful and help keep the course beginner friendly.

A good 9 holes golf course for newer golfers as there really isn’t a lot of hazards to avoid. Course kept in good condition. Helpful staff. However, there’s a lot of low hanging powerlines on a few fairways that can interfere with the ball flight.

This is a good course for the family or for new golfers. Suggestion is not to go in with very high expectations. Treat it like a tune-up round to get swinging again. Great for first few times out for the year. Better 9 short holes than nothing before you go for a full 18 somewhere. There are a TON of overhanging wires on the last few holes that are not very well placed, depending on your tee box. Our group hit 3 in a row on the same hole. But it’s quick, local city course and cheap. You get what you get. 🙂

The perfect place to work on your short game.

They keep the holes in great shape during the Summer if you come after 7:30pm you can play for a discounted rate.

Seniors get a great discount here and yiu can rent either a pull cart or golf cart too.

Even without a discount the prices are quite reasonable and it is easy to book online here.
