Musicworks Coventry is goated! 10/10 stars for their excellence!
Super friendly, excellent teachers, and so welcoming and accommodating. The staff really have great chemistry, you can tell they are doing things right when everyone is happy to be there, including the students! My kids have never enjoyed previous music lessons until we came to Musicworks. Not surprised they have great google reviews, and not surprised mine is one of the hundreds of 5stars!
Lloyd Sabado (☆ 5/5)

This place is amazing. I take my daughter Wren here for violin class, and the teachers here are great. They really are very patient and knowledgeable. Joshua the owner is also fun to talk to, seems to be very passionate about music and can sing quite well himself.
Vohne Yao (☆ 5/5)

My daughter has been taking vocal lessons here for a few months, and the improvement has been incredible. Teacher Ella is patient, encouraging, and really knows how to connect with her students. She’s more confident and excited about music than ever. Highly recommend!
Kyle Reyes (☆ 5/5)

My name is Primo Beltran Jr. and I had my 10 year-old Gibson J45 Cut-Away Guitar set-up and re-stringed by no other than Josh of Music Works himself. The guitar sounded awesome and feel on the neck and frets were just the right amount attack and ease. The fret edges were properly filed. He polished the fretboards and body which I appreaciated much.
Also, the atmosphere inside the school was vibrant, courteous and professional. I won’t mind traveling all the way from Copperfield SE just to get the same excellent professional service to my guitars.
ITS 100% TLC INDEED!

Customer Reviews
My son loves his teachers. He loves being a part of the whole production. I’m surprised how long he has stayed with it. I feel like he found one of his passions in School of Rock. He never would have started playing an instrument in just regular boring lessons with all that old fashioned music. School of rock is brilliant. Everyone has been great to deal with from signing up, rescheduling, the music teachers and whoever organizes the big productions. I really love the productions, they allow me to be a part of my son’s passion for music!

The School of Rock is a saving grace, honestly!! As a parent you want your children to be exposed to a safe learning environment where they can be stimulated artistically, be a part of a team, feel like they belong, where their successes are celebrated and where they are supported in every way, without judgement. This is exactly what School of Rock provides. The group of dedicated staff and instructors become your family and School Rock your second home.
monika czekaj (☆ 5/5)

Went for a free trial at School of Rock and the staff were amazing, the guitar teacher my daughter had was amazing and she was so excited to join this school. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a musical outlet for yourself or your kids! So happy we found a place for my daughter who isn’t into sports 🙂
Rachel Livingston (☆ 5/5)

What an amazing summer camp! My 14 year old loved it! Bounced out of bed each morning. Had the best time. Learned so much. Made great connections. And played a stellar show on the Friday with his band. I can not rave enough about the School of Rock. Its magic!
T Dann (☆ 5/5)

We’ve loved our time with School of Rock. Our 6yo daughter is in the Rookies program and has enjoyed the classes a lot. So much so, that she asked santa for a drum set! She now has a rental set at home she practices on between her Monday classes. It was amazing to see her confidence at their season end show, and she constantly finishes the class with excitement and pride. We’ve kept her in lessons and she’s enrolled in the August summer camp for Rookies. Awesome program and amazing staff.
Erin Fahey (☆ 5/5)

I am an adult drumming program member. I like the program planning and the course content related to my skills and knowledge level. The method app is great, it has very wide content and is pretty useful. I like the assignment feature, so the instructor can share my assignment’s song sheet, and I can listen, change the tempo, also can share my practice back. The band option is also nice, I am waiting till I feel comfortable to play together.

Also quite affordable. Im eternally grateful for your dedication and excellent service. KEEP IT UP!!

Grace has taught my daughter singing lessons for a couple years now, and I can’t say enough amazing things about her. She is kind, patient, and shares her love and knowledge of music in every lesson. We have a busy and changing schedule and Grace has always been flexible and accommodating as needed. I would highly recommend Imagine Music, we have had such a positive experience and my daughter has learned so much and gained confidence along the way!
Lori B (☆ 5/5)

Grace taught our kids piano, starting when they were 4 and 6, and she has been nothing short of amazing, she is patient, kind and encouraging – she makes them love learning and look forward to lessons. Cant recommend her strongly enough!
Danielle Loyns (☆ 5/5)

Imagine Music is a fantastic place to learn music! The instructors are incredibly passionate and knowledgable, making lessons both fun and engaging. They truly see each student as a unique individual, and work closely with students to achieve their goals. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn an instrument!
Lea (☆ 5/5)

We were so pleased with our daughter’s experience at Imagine Music – her teacher, Hil, was so responsive to her personality, and our daughter gained a great deal of confidence in herself through what she learned. And Jennifer is just the loveliest person. This is a wonderful place to learn to sing!
Daniel MacDonald (Purple House Photography) (☆ 5/5)

I moved to Calgary a few years ago, and have tried a couple music studios until I found Imagine Music. It’s been a very good experience working with the owner Jennifer on finding the right teacher for my kids. Jennifer is responsive and very knowledgeable in the area of music education. Their recitals are well organized, and I like their newsletters for keeping students up-to-date on important dates and opportunities coming up.
My kids are currently taking piano lessons with Kathy, and she is dedicated, pleasant and attentive to their musical development. My kids have different personalities and learning styles, and Kathy was able to use different methods creatively to tailor to their learning needs. My older one has just completed an RCM piano exam, and Kathy would often provide suggestions on how to practice effectively to achieve this. She communicates well and would provide me with regular updates on the progress of my kids, so that I know how to support them outside of their lesson time. I highly recommend Kathy as a piano teacher.
Musee Kawa (☆ 5/5)

I took piano and voice lessons at Imagine music and it really helped develop my abilities/passion for music from a young age. I was always provided with lots of extra performance opportunities including Calgary Performing Arts Festival, volunteer singing as well as helped through the conservatory Canada program! Very thankful for Imagine Music.
Erika Mae (☆ 5/5)

I started piano lessons with Jennifer a year ago and they have been the highlight of my week ever since. She is calm, knowledgeable, and passionate about her craft.
Every time I leave my lessons I feel excited and inspired to play for the week. Thank you for all your hard work and all that you’ve taught me.

A key element is the personalized approach; lessons are tailored to each individual’s skill level and interests, resulting in faster progress and a more enjoyable experience. It is especially noted that the program offers an outstanding opportunity to develop a love of piano playing>, and builds valuable musical skills, fostering dedication and a sense of accomplishment in all students.
Customer Reviews
We’ve been absolutely thrilled with these online piano classes at Vivace for our kids. I was a bit skeptical at first about doing music lessons over Zoom, but this program completely exceeded our expectations.
The teachers are incredibly patient, kind, and professional. They know exactly how to keep my kids engaged, motivated, and excited about learning. My children have made amazing progress in such a short time, they’re not just playing notes but actually understanding music, reading sheet music confidently, and even improvising a little!
What I love most is how personalized the lessons are. Each child gets tailored instruction that suits their level and interests. Even though it’s online, there’s a real connection between teacher and student. The scheduling is super convenient for our family, and the communication has been fantastic.
We also appreciate the supportive and fun atmosphere. My kids look forward to every class—they’re proud of what they’re learning and practice willingly on their own. As a parent, nothing is more rewarding than seeing that.
If you’re considering online piano lessons, I honestly can’t recommend this program highly enough. It’s been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our kids’ education and creativity.
Amanda Brown (☆ 5/5)

I was hesitant about online piano lessons for my 7-year-old since we’d tried two in-person classes before and she didn’t progress much. But I’m so glad we gave this a try!
The teacher is patient and engaging, and my daughter actually looks forward to her lessons now. She’s improved so much and even practices on her own. The lessons are well-structured, easy to schedule online, and save us time.
If you’re on the fence about online piano classes, I highly recommend this program. It’s been a fantastic experience for us!
Eniago Akinwale (☆ 5/5)

We’ve been with Vivace for years and it has fostered my daughter’s love for piano! Joanne is such a kind and supportive teacher who really cares about students’ interests. She is always open to finding out what music my daughter listens to so she can learn to play some of the same songs.
Joanne is really great about supporting each family’s needs. Vivace offers recitals families who prefer the performance aspect. We’re more laid back and just wanting our daughter to follow her passion. Joanne has accommodated that by encouraging her play by ear while still learning & playing sheet music as well.
Holly Caleb (☆ 5/5)

I really recommend Vivace Music. Joanne is very patient, kind and knows how to encourage your kids to continue practicing on their own. It’s amazing how fast my son is progressing and stays very motivated every day. My son is always very comfortable talking about his interests and asking questions.
I recently started taking classes with her and her team. Although I didn’t know anything about music, I can now play songs that I thought would take years to learn. I’m just in love. I am so grateful for their patience and dedication they show in each class.
Clarissa Codá (☆ 5/5)

Joanne is the best piano teacher we could have for our daughter. Working with kids of all ages is challenging on a learning position and Joanne is able to communicate well and motivate them in a way that makes them thrive and excel at playing piano. With the pandemic she had to adapt and switch to on line learning and we were a bit skeptic if that would work, however to our surprise, our daughter really enjoys! I’d highly recommend Joanne for any family looking to have their kids, or anyone really, to learn to play piano!
Daniel Santos (☆ 5/5)

Joanne has taught my children piano for the past two years. Her lessons are well planned out and delivered in a highly motivating way. She has great rapport with my children and has established a meaningful relationship with each of them. They often pick out their own piano pieces and this motivates them to practice because they enjoy learning their new songs. Joanne’s Christmas concert is impressive and a highlight for my children and our family (their grandparents actually want to go!!). I would highly recommend Vivace Music!
Jennifer Perry (☆ 5/5)

Joanne is an excellent piano teacher. My son Samuel started piano lessons with her in January this year and he has already progressed much further than I expected. Joanne understands children and how they learn music best. She brings out the best in her students. She is positive and patient with her students. Her approach in keeping children interested in music by having them enjoy what they play has enhanced my son’s learning experience. Keep up the good work, Joanne! Thank you!

My son has been taking guitar lessons with Lone for almost two years and it’s been such a great experience. Lone teaches him to play songs he loves which keeps him interested and engaged. We’ve also been impressed with the school as a whole – good communication and well organized with everything from registration to recitals. Would absolutely recommend!
Liz Hoogkamer (☆ 5/5)

Great school! Love the classes, they’re very engaging, interactive, little ones love to explore the instruments. We completed the fall session so far in the 6-24 months group and already signed up for the next one.
I highly recommend the school!
Karolina Bodnar (☆ 5/5)

Well managed music school. We’ve been attending with our various young children for about four years. Many of the instructors have been excellent but on the odd occasion management has been very receptive to feedback. The school is now located in the basement located via stairs on the right hand side. The unfortunate part is being located in Marda Loop. That means terrible parking and traffic. Very narrow lanes and near misses.
Trevor Textor (☆ 5/5)

My 9 year old daughter started guitar with Lone last year and it’s been a great experience! Lone has been an amazing fun teacher and lets her chose the songs she loves to play while teaching guitar basics. The progress she has made in just one year has been incredible! My younger daughter is also doing piano with Jennifer. She is wonderfully patient and also brings a lot of fun to the lessons. The school has been wonderful in communications with us and accommodating in our lesson times. We used to attend another music studio but am glad we made the switch to Chinook as it is much more organized and the teachers have been fantastic. I highly recommend both our teachers and Chinook Music school.
S D (☆ 5/5)

My son has been taking piano lessons at Chinook for about 3 years. He really enjoys the lessons, largely because his teacher, Michael, works with him to make music an enjoyable learning experience. My son learns pretty quickly by ear, but said one of his objectives was to learn to sight read better. So the teacher incorporated both into the lessons. So successful!! It’s a great team experience, and I can’t sing Michael’s praises enough.
Wendy James-Smith (☆ 5/5)

I started as an adult student completely new to reading music. I began my adult journey with the goal to learn how to play the piano. I have treasured my experience with Chinook School of Music. I’ve valued my options to explore working with different teachers who were accepting of my reality of not always being able to practice regularly. I have loved performing and attending the adult recitals. This has provided a magical opportunity to witness so many other adult students exploring voice and numerous instruments with a full spectrum of beginners to advanced learners. My daughter started taking piano at Chinook soon after I began and we both have learned so much. Our teacher even supported us to play a duet together. During the summer we have taken advantage of the option to experiment with different teachers and instruments and I have been impressed by the friendly and responsive customer service. I tell all of my friends about this amazing studio because of the incredible experience my daughter and I have had going on 5 years plus!
Carie Lee Watters (☆ 5/5)

We took a music class called Music Kids in the Park with Miss Kassandra, and my whole family was impressed. My son is very small, only 10 months old when the program started, but he enjoyed playing the instruments along with Miss Kassandra’s singing and games. Each class followed a similar plan so that babies knew what to expect, but the actual songs were varied enough that it kept kids entertained. It was a wonderful exposure into music lessons for my little one, and we hope that we will be able to return next summer!

Customer Reviews
Both of my sons have been taking piano lessons from Dan Morin for over seven years, and I can confidently say he is an exceptional teacher who cares deeply about his students’ growth and well-being.
What sets Dan apart is his ability to truly understand each student as an individual. He’s a keen observer who recognizes that every child learns differently. He thoughtfully adapts his teaching style to suit each student’s needs and often finds creative ways to connect their outside interests to piano, making learning more engaging and meaningful.
Dan’s patience and support create a positive and encouraging environment. He knows how to build confidence and gently motivate his students to push themselves and grow. His years of experience are evident—he has a remarkable ability to assess what a student is capable of achieving. More than once, he has introduced music I thought was too difficult, only for my children to master it by year’s end and perform it confidently during recitals or competitions.
Dan also brings humor and warmth into his lessons, which makes learning enjoyable. Both of my kids genuinely look forward to their time with him. He doesn’t pressure them, but instead sets clear expectations, and they consistently rise to meet them. Perhaps most importantly, he instills a deep and lasting love for music in all of his students.
I wholeheartedly recommend Dan Morin to anyone looking for a dedicated, skilled, and inspiring piano teacher.
Jenny Wong (☆ 5/5)

This marks the third year since my daughter began piano lessons with Mr. Dan after we moved to the city. Mr. Dan is not just an exceptional piano teacher—he is a mentor who imparts life lessons with wisdom, shaping the children’s futures in ways far beyond music. Over the past two years, my daughter has made tremendous progress, even winning first place at the provincials! None of this would have been possible without Mr. Dan and the Morin Studio.
A special thanks also to Carmen and Robyn for creating such magic in the world of music!
Belle Li (☆ 5/5)

Morin Music Studio offer great and wide range of music lessons from group classes to private lesson. Both of my children started their music journey with an early childhood program at the age of 2. After the exposure of rhythm and melody, they moved to formal lesson with a private teacher. The studio hosts 2 recitals at the Scarboro United Church every school year which offer students a moment to reflect on their growth, see the result of their hard work, and help prepare their exams or competitions. I have nothing but good things to say about Morin Music Studio. 🙂
Polly Y (☆ 5/5)

It is genuinely difficult to put into words the exceptional level of professionalism and talent that Ms. Morin brings to the industry. Her instructors are outstanding, and the education she provides is truly transformative. Both my child and my nieces attend this studio exclusively, and I cannot imagine a better place for their artistic development.
Amanda Khalil (☆ 5/5)

We had two kids enrolled with Morin for about eight months. We were not impressed by the level of instruction received, and our kids (two girls) did not enjoy working with the young man they sent our way. They found him hard to understand, and weren’t comfortable. When we notified Morin that we were cancelling, they informed us that they would continue billing us for two additional months (nearly $1000) and plus an additional $100 admin fee. We have reviewed every email record we have, and there is no mention of this policy. We have reached out several times for explanation, and to set up a call to discuss – all such queries have gone unanswered. We’re extremely frustrated, and the money keeps coming out of our account. Beware.
What follows is a response to Carmen’s Response:
We regret that we needed to raise our concerns publicly to finally get Carmen’s attention. The response we received to the initial google review should serves as a microcosm of the «customer service» you can expect from this company. For context, this is my first ever google review – I’m not some sort of internet troll that has a history of airing my grievances publicly but do so as a last resort after being endless frustrated at attempting to get someone on the phone to hear our side of the story.
We attempted several times by phone and email to engage in private dialogue and never received more than a sentence or two email in response, in which an admin staff member (different each time) simply restated the cancellation policy that we were unaware of. We have scoured all the documents that we have and cannot find any mention of two-month cancellation policy. It may be that it’s buried somewhere in the fine print, but if it is, we cannot find it.
There were multiple reasons our family felt that continuing with lessons was not going to be viable. Beyond the reasons mentioned earlier, one of the main reasons is related to a personal situation that has arisen in our family, that we do not wish to air on a public forum. We did not feel the need to plead our case or justify anything to Morin when we cancelled our lessons, and we were, as mentioned, totally unaware of the cancellation policy, and in any case, it is none of their business.
Finally, we find it completely unprofessional and insulting that we should be accused of being «reactive» and it is completely unacceptable that you would name our eight- and six-year-old daughters in your response. Those names should be removed immediately.
Final Edit: Following this review we did manage to speak with Carmen. She was untimely unwavering in her policy to charge us for 8 weeks, plus an additional $100 admin fee. I don’t know to whom this saga may be relevant, but be advised.
Mark (☆ 1/5)

After one year studying Piano at Morin Music, I have nothing bit good things to say. The front end staff and teachers are all wonderful in their own way. Mike and Agata, my summer session teachers are very well qualified to teach piano, and very good at their job. Timea, my regular instructor, is especially well suited to train children and older adults. The studio pianos that I have played are all high end instruments with great tone. Very friendly teachers, I’ve been a student for about 9 years, and they have always been good. Smallish local business versus the usual guant companies.

I can’t say how wonderful it has been to work with Rosanna! I am a new adult student, but she took me from where I was at and is helping me find my voice. Singing is easier, more clear and much more enjoyable. So grateful for her positive, kind and enthusiastic teaching style! A true gem!

Highly recommend Mrs. Rosanna to anyone at any level. She is so incredibly talented and has instilled so much love for music into my boys. She keeps them so engaged, and is so supportive, passionate and encouraging.
Madelene Bustard (☆ 5/5)

Rosanna is truly the best music teacher I have ever seen. She is able to connect with my teens on a relational level and earn their respect. Her classes have been the highlight of the week for one of my kids. Her knowledge of music theory, voice and various instruments makes learning seem easy and fun. She is always encouraging even when bringing correction. I highly recommend her.
R E Lumkes (☆ 5/5)

Rosanna is excellent with my kids! She clearly knows how to reach kids and what to expect from them musically. She has taught us all the value of playing around with our instrument, not just running scales or practicing songs, but exploring our creativity. As a parent, I appreciate that she sends email overviews of how each lesson went, along with practice guidelines for the week, as well as a report card for each student at the end of each year. She is very encouraging. I highly recommend her as a teacher of music!!!
Christa McKergow (☆ 5/5)

Rosanna is such a neat and inspirational person! She has so many musical abilities and life skills yet she is humble and makes my child, her student feel special and confident in her own abilities. She is complimentary, encouraging, and gives good direction. She is organized, kind, and positive! We love Rosanna and recommend her highly!
Melanie Hancock (☆ 5/5)

Both of our kids absolutely love Rosanna. They look forward to their lessons every week. Rosanna has an amazing way with the kids. She is positive and very engaging. I really like how Rosanna creatively challenges the kids to be better musicians. My wife and I would highly recommend Rosanna
Sean Robinson (☆ 5/5)

Those who can’t, teach? That’s not the case here. Rosanna is both an incredible professional musician and an insightful, patient teacher. Her love for teaching is apparent in how she makes learning enjoyable as well as ensuring every detai is covered. Rosanna has a wealth of resources that she openly shares to enhance her students’ love and knowledge of music. My daughter takes piano, voice and ukulele and Rosanna speaks her language. Between my sisters, my daughter and myself, I have interacted with numerous music instructors. Never have I met one who holds a candle to Rosanna.
