Megan's Rescue Efforts Society

I adopted my two beautiful cats, Sushi and Tapioca (Salsa and Tortilla), from Megan's Rescue Efforts Society last year, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the joy they have brought into my life. From the moment they arrived, they filled my home with love, energy, and endless cuddles. Tapioca, with her playful and adventurous spirit, keeps me on my toes, while Sushi is the perfect balance of sweetness and curiosity. They are not just pets—they are my family, my little shadows, and the light of my life. Despite the challenges, including Tapioca’s recent health issues, I am so grateful to have them, and I wouldn’t trade them for the world. Megan’s Rescue Efforts Society truly goes above and beyond in ensuring their rescues find the perfect home. The love and care they put into their work is evident in every animal they save. If you are looking to adopt, I highly recommend them—you might just find your perfect little soulmates, just like I did. I have been volunteering with Megan's Rescue since February 2023. I have volunteered with several rescue's in the past and Megan's is absolutely one of the good ones. Like all small rescues, we face the challenges of not enough resources, but no one works harder or is more dedicated to these wonderful animals than Megan. I am proud to be part of this rescue. (And I adopted one of their cats!)

Highly recommend. They triple check everything, i was so impressed with the due diligence of this adoption!

Volunteers beware! Megan runs this rescue with an iron fist and will not tolerate any suggestions or questioning of her methods. Better memorize and follow all her rules and regulations to the letter or you will be terminated if you 'mess up,' like I was. Was only given a generalized explanation for being dismissed as a volunteer after fostering, donating and socially supporting. No second chances here, even if you mean well and no harm was done. Very hurtful and upsetting experience.

Terrible communication , I had to pay before hand out of good faith and no one gave me an address. Day of pick up didn’t have correct address I had to call to figure it out and the owner once we got there wasn’t very welcoming and quite snarky with us. On a positive note, I will say their hearts are in the right place and are very passionate about the animals. Just not very good with customer service.

I started volunteering with Megan’s Rescue Efforts Society about 6 months ago. It’s a wonderful rescue and the people are great! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to volunteer.

Love the thoroughness of the process and appreciate that though communication was slower than anticipated it is a small organization that has their hearts in the right places to find these animals new homes.
