We went here for brunch and had a really nice experience. We ordered the breakfast burger, avocado toast, and fish & chips — and everything was tasty. The breakfast burger, in particular, was absolutely amazing — flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. The fish & chips were crispy and satisfying. We also tried a Guinness beer, just to explore something new, but now I know it’s not really my taste, a bit too bitter for me. Our server was also wonderful, very professional, warm, and friendly throughout our meal. Definitely a place worth visiting again!

had the corned beef sando and potato soup and about 6 guiness, loved all of it. was actually here studying sign language early afternoon and the atmosphere was perfect. few tables with people but also quiet enough to feel like you have a comfortable space to get things done. server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. would recommend/will be back!

What makes the James Joyce on Stephen Avenue in Calgary the best pub in Calgary is that there are no TV screens. The authentic Irish Pub vibe is what attracts a more business-oriented clientele. For this reason, the pub is a good venue not only for social gatherings, but also for business meetings and dinner/dessert/drinks before or after a night at the theatre or a concert. This Calgary institution always evokes so much nostalgia. The menu has been honed to perfection with signature Irish dishes that transport Calgarians to the charm and coziness of the traditional pubs of Ireland right in the heart of downtown.

We swung by for a quick lunch before heading out on our bike ride and decided to sample their brunch menu. It turned out to be quite delicious! The staff were welcoming, the service was excellent, and the building itself was stunning. If you're looking to unwind on a downtown patio with some delectable pub fare, I highly recommend this restaurant. It's a must-visit spot!

Great patio right on Stephen Avenue. The service was fast and friendly. Love the interior of the pub. It's not covered in TVs, so you can actually appreciate the charming interior, super traditional Irish style pub. Cozy nook space for gatherings and conversations. My husband and I love this place.

Decent Irish Pub on Stephen Avenue. No draught Guinness which was disappointing. They had cans but I went for Nebula on draught which tbh was meh. Good service and I like all the memorabilia. Quietish but it was a Monday night in March!
