I will say that you returned my money later that day. I don’t think you understand how badly that messed me up. I called and booked the ride that day after I canceled the online bookings and I told the operator that I needed the money to pay for my medication. It’s a long weekend my pharmacy was going to be closed. I’m very sick and have asthma I can barely breathe. I couldn’t get my inhaler that day because of your screw up. Not only could I not get my medication but I was also had to walk home and I can’t breathe at all right now even tho it’s not a far walk 10-15 min it’s all uphill. I had asthma attack. I also had to spend the money to go a second time to go get my medicine . I dont drive so I had to spend the cab money again to go get it . I wish I didn’t have to rely on taking cabs because it’s nothing but problems for me .
I have a couple more things to add to this that I’ve since discovered as well . You guys have sent me texts offering a 15% discount for booking with you guys and I’ve taken countless rides with you now in the last few months and I have not seen that discount applied even once . I checked all my invoices and I have never been given that . If you’re going to give that to a person you should follow thru with that and you give me a text after every time I’ve booked with you and never seen it once applied . Secondly I’ve noticed that some of your drivers have ripped me off when it cones to tipping.. I always ask them to add a 20% tip to the ride and I’ve been charged more than that on a few occasions . My advice to anyone using this cab company is do not leave it up to the driver to add it in themselves and just tap like I do because you can’t trust them just add it in yourself because they give you the option when paying I am usually in a hurry but I won’t be from now on.
The bigger issue, when your driver finally arrived, he raised his voice at me and blamed me for this.

Cab driver last night did not turn on his meter (I never noticed) and then charged me $30 from downtown to my house, which I get cabs regularly from the same area and it’s only ever cost $13-17. Both drivers I had (from the airport to my hotel, and then back to the airport) were exceptional. I wish I remembered their names because they truly stood out for their professionalism and friendly attitude.
The service was smooth, reliable, and stress-free. Also, I really appreciate the classic yellow cabs — it actually feels like you’re in a real taxi, unlike the plain white cars some companies use. Great company, great service. Highly recommend.

I started the call specifying the quadrant of the city I was in, then provided the name of the establishment that I was at. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the address but mentioned that it was north of a key intersection that I could see. I expected some troubleshooting to be necessary, so that wasn’t a problem. What was a problem was that she disregarded the name of the establishment that I was at, demeaned me for failing to mention that I was a few blocks north of the key intersection and not providing the closest intersection (which was virtually impossible for me to know as I was in a commercial district with abnormal blocks), then mocked me for not being able to confirm the number I was calling from (I had a loaner cell phone from work). Under the best of circumstances, this likely would be frustrating but manageable. However, being stranded as I was, and as many cab users are, this was completely overwhelming. I don’t expect others to know what’s going on in my life, I just expect basic common courtesy and baseline respect from customer service representatives.
Bonus information: my lovely cab driver mentioned that it had been very slow today so the hostility directed at me is not likely due to an overwhelming number of bookings.

• He refused to use his own GPS or device for navigation, and instead insisted on using my phone to access directions.

• While using my phone, I received a private message, and I caught the driver trying to read it — a serious invasion of privacy.
• Near the end of the ride, before we even arrived at our destination, he demanded that I sign the taxi chit, which already had information filled in — without waiting for the final metered fare.

This morning, I called Checker Cab. After being subjected to five minutes of blaring hold music, an agent finally answered and booked my ride. Shockingly, 30 minutes later, no cab had arrived. Upon calling back, I was told there was no record of the booking at all.
As a result, I was late for an important appointment. If you have somewhere critical to be, do not rely on them. Their service is only suitable for short trips—perhaps to the washroom.

Well past tense – they won’t anymore. And my boss said unequivocally, they will no longer consider Keys Please as a «safe» alternative to get our co-workers home from our many company events. One EXCEPTIONALLY bad experience, and how it was handled by Keys Please, has indeed cost them business. Mine, my co-workers who were all there to witness it, and my friends and family who I have shared my experience with. All I can say is, do better, be better Keys Please.
