I got a Mirena IUD placed here yesterday and the entire process was so incredibly positive and easy that I felt like I needed to post a review to help other women find this place!
I submitted an appointment request online and received a quick callback scheduling me for a zoom info session with Dr. Toor. It was a group session but all attendees were anonymous (camera/mic off) and you could submit questions via the chat. Dr. Toor's presentation was really well done and I appreciated how informative and straightforward it was, and that she put time into answering everyone's questions!
Immediately after the zoom, I was scheduled for my IUD placement appointment. The clinic is super well organized and they work with the pharmacy next door to supply the IUDs so all I had to do was go pick mine up right before the appointment (the pharmacists are super nice too, and called me after receiving my prescription to confirm my appointment time and get my benefits details).
My appointment happened exactly on time and everyone at the clinic was very kind and professional. My IUD was placed by Dr. Baskerville and she was amazing. She patiently answered my questions about hormones, perimenopause symptoms, etc and I felt very validated and listened to (unusual where women's reproductive health is concerned!).
The process itself was quick, easy, and nearly painless - the exact opposite of the many horror stories I've heard about having an IUD inserted. This is because this clinic actually recognizes women's pain as real and takes measures to reduce it (also unusual in my experience). I was given nitrous oxide (aka laughing gas - optional but recommended!) as well as a numbing injection to my cervix prior to insertion. Aside from a bit of cramping and minor discomfort for a second, I felt no pain at all. Dr. Baskerville made sure I knew what was happening the whole time which was comforting as well. Once it was done, she gave me a few minutes for the gas to wear off, scheduled me for a follow-up appointment, and then I was good to drive home. Since then I've had a bit of cramping but no worse than regular period cramps, and I was given prescription-strength ibuprofen for the first few days to manage that as well.
It can be really frustrating and overwhelming as a woman to find a doctor who takes women's reproductive and hormonal health seriously - especially if you're actively trying NOT to get pregnant. I am so glad to have found this clinic and can't overstate how great my experience was here! Highly recommend this clinic!

Got my copper IUD replaced with a hormonal one. I had a good experience with my copper IUD and it lasted me 10 years but I wanted to try the mirena this time around. They offered me gas and freezing, which I did have to pay for because it's not covered by AHS but it was worth the extra $30. There was some mild discomfort and cramps, but I didn't feel the removal of the old, or the insertion of the new IUD. Overall the doctor was great, and the experience was over relatively quickly. I would definitely recommend this clinic.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, especially for healthcare providers, but this was by far the most frustrating experience I’ve had when trying to speak with a doctor about an IUD. After waiting an entire month for a 15-minute phone consultation, I missed the initial call — and that was it. They try one more time but if you don’t pick up on the first ring, prepare to wait another month for a rescheduled appointment. Navigating birth control and family planning is already stressful enough. Please consider implementing a more patient-friendly system.

When I got my iud placed in January Dr. Fyhn was the most compassionate and careful physician. She deserves 5 stars. I then had my IUD taken out by Dr. Shergil Which was one of the most degrading clinical experiences of my life. I told her I was uncomfortable with the prescription that was given to me and requested a new one. She refused and said ‘the one I gave you is the standard of medication for endometriosis and they are all basically the same so I won’t change it.’
When I explained in the week taking it I had horrible side effects like insomnia and nausea she told me ‘those aren’t side effects of this drug so I don’t think that would be it’ which if you look at the packaging those are the SIDE EFFECTS!
B. Would you be saying the same thing if someone had a bad reaction to vyvanse? or even a PPI? Probably not. Not all medications work for every body. She also seemed to think it was odd that I have been on so many birth controls and the most popular and ‘her favourite’ ones did not work for me. I explained they caused a lot of weight and mood issues and I could sense she didn’t believe me. Very passive aggressive tone which did not help. I had to justify that I am a healthy individual despite whatever BMI is saying and it was not my lifestyle. Second the procedure was extremely rough and was more forceful than was needed. I swear the instruments were not prepped properly as I was in excruciating pain. For reference I have endometriosis and my baseline is a 4/10 pain every day. Luckily the iud came out without complications but I was not offered pain management for the insertion of the IUD or removal. She then said ‘I don’t think it was really embedded’ to which I replied ‘well I have a 3D ultrasound and 4 months of hemorrhaging and anemia to prove it was’ I was so shocked and felt so violated and condescended the whole visit. I think the clinic is amazing but I just had a bad experience with this dr. I did not feel any compassion, didn’t feel heard or anything. Also zero walk through for the procedure. I don’t even think I got a warning before she started. Very jarring and very aggressive. If I do go back I will be seeing Dr Fyhn. As someone who has been degraded by doctors for 10 years this was by far the most frustrating and painful visits I have ever had.

This place is amazing and efficient! I had a minor incident come up with my IUD and they got me in right away and I was nervous for the procedure but the doctor made me feel very comfortable and it was so quick! They are either always on time or ahead of schedule! Thank you for making my experience very pleasant! I will 1000% recommended this clinic!

I am absolutely disappointed with my experience at this clinic. I had an appointment scheduled for a phone call at a specific time, but I waited for two hours and never received the call. I called the clinic back, and they said they would call me back immediately or within two hours. No call came, and I had to call them again. I am absolutely disappointed with the incompetence and the completely negligent attitude of the doctors and staff towards their patients’ health
