Boris and Rost did an amazing job today. They worked 10 hours straight and in hot environments. They moved VERY COMPLICATED ITEMS and so many items. None broken. Multiple stairs too! I don’t think they even took a bathroom break. Very attentive and listened and were so patient. They did two trips and were so humble and lovely. We cannot thank them enough for an amazing job. Literally crying at how great they did everything. Worth every penny!

I used Calgary Movers Pro for a moving today, what seemed like a mountain of task was carried out like a breeze by two professional movers and big truck. I’m very happy and would totally recommend using the service. The movers were professional, had everything dissembled, blanketed and moved carefully without damaging doors and elevators. The communication was very good in explaining in what will be done. What seemed like was going to be stressful day was done in a couple of hours.

I had Calgary Movers Pro come to my home to empty a Big Steel Box full of my belongings and place it in my home. I was very impressed by the three young men who worked very hard to move everything in, carefully…and they set up two queen beds for me too. They were fast, careful, friendly, polite, and they were just the nicest guys. The movers I used to put all my belongings into the Big Steel Box were from another company and they took 8 hours to empty a 2 bedroom townhouse, and some of my belongings got damaged. I am so glad I chose to use Calgary Movers Pro to empty the Big Steel Box in about 3 hours. I will be using them for my next move and I highly recommend them!!

Finding the right moving company can be stressful with how many options there are.

I asked for quotes from many companies and chose best moves for their professionalism, prompt, polite communication and respectful attitude.

My choice was validated when I met the two excellent movers, Tudor and Mykola. They were punctual, focused , efficient and very attentive to detail. Anytime they had to do additional work or work differently from expectations, they provided excellent communication why an alternative solution was required. Both of them also moved large plants very competently — see the photos.

In addition, their estimated quote was within 10% of the actual cost, despite me having significantly more boxes at the time of moving than at the time of consultation.

To optimize your moving experience, I highly recommend you pack yourself before the move and disassemble the furniture into movable portions that can fit through doorways.

We used Best Moves at the end of July for our move. They were so great to work with! They were great to communicate with, were prompt and organized. They were very fast, didn’t damage anything and set up our furniture for us. They provided a quote and came only $200 off from their quote despite us having significantly more boxes from what we originally said.

I didn’t know movers like this existed! The whole crew of 4 were absolutely outstanding for my cross Calgary move. They arrived right on time & were polite, helpful, and efficient. The truck was clean, well-organized and every single item was packed with care. They were very careful with all my furniture as well as walls, etc. I couldn’t recommend them more highly! They accurately accounted for their time and supplies, and were happy to accommodate some last-minute asks with flexibility. This company moved us a few days ago, and they were awesome! They were professional and completed the move very quickly. The movers made sure to fully explain the process, and offered various options to keep our belongings safe and clean during the move.

The two men who moved us worked extremely hard on a hot day and had us moved faster than expected. All of our belongings were in the same condition when the move was completed, and they made sure we were satisfied with the job they did. Their price was far better than any of the 5 companies I got quotes from and I will use them again, and recommend them to anyone I know who needs movers.

Max was great to work with from start to finish, excellent communicator. He made the booking process smooth. The movers who picked up were meticulous in wrapping my belongings and preparing them for an inter-provincial move. Calgary Pro Movers completed a move for my partner and I including belongings from my partner’s condo and my townhouse. The experience was unprofessional, inefficient, and charged hourly.
When I emailed the Charles (the owner) with my concerns, I had to follow up to discuss. When he did call, at no point did he indicate that any problem was outside the normal quality of his company’s work. Instead he provided excuses to justify each issue. After about 30 minutes on the phone with myself and my partner he says “Thomas, you are a man. You understand.” Thomas asked what he understands. Charles: “We all know who is paying for this move.” He continued down this path describing a man’s very high responsibility and stresses in life. (And yes, I, the woman, booked/paid for this move…)
Charles did provide us a $440 refund on our $2400 move and offered to fix our furniture (which I have declined based on my experience with the company). It came with a clear insinuation that we were suggesting that his trainee not get paid – which we were repeatedly clear was not our request.
Some examples contributing to our poor moving experience:
• No information provided ahead of time about what was required for packing standards, what is accepted/not accepted, or other preparations.
• Communication from the crew was extremely limited, with any responses being short and uninformative.
• Immediately upon arrival, the crew knocked off an exterior light and ran into a yellow post while parking in the condo alley.
• The crew was made up of two more experienced movers and one who was clearly brand new and still being trained. The trainee required instruction on basic items like using the dolly. He was clearly not used to the physical demands of the job. Further, when he was helping to move furniture, the process was very slow as he did not yet understand what angles to use in tight spaces.
• One of the movers attempted to purchase a used car in front of the house where he was meant to be unloading our belongings.
• A bed frame that we disassembled prior to the movers’ arrival was broken while being moved from the condo. The movers did not wrap or otherwise package the item to protect it, but following the breakage the movers told us that they weren’t supposed to move fragile items.
• I was clear with the Charles about the volume of belongings in each residence, but the movers indicated that the 26 foot truck was too full to fit the townhouse contents after loading from the condo, leading to an extra 90+ minutes of transport time. Charles did not indicate that this truck would be tight on space or ask for further clarification, so this was a surprise.
• The 9% fuel surcharge on my entire bill was not included in any quotes or contracts prior to the movers’ arrival on the day of the move.
• Another bed frame’s pull-out drawers were damaged when they were removed, with several bearings on one slider entirely falling out – despite my request that the drawers be left in.
• One IKEA shelf was badly scratched – indicating that it was poorly or not wrapped.
• No runners were used on the floor of my townhouse, and runners were only placed halfway into the front room and halfway up/down the stairs at the final destination.
• Unloaded items were left in heaps of mixed furniture/boxes in each room, with zero ask how we would like any of our furniture placed or if we would like it reassembled.
• Upon arrival, many boxes clearly labelled “garage” were moved into the house – adding a time to re-move it all into the garage
• The full move went from 8AM to 7PM despite both me and my partner having disassembled all furniture except the sectional and pre-packing all the boxes, as well as participating in moving boxes
• In the afternoon I heard the movers complaining to each other that their boss was trying to assign them another move later that night.

Honestly, they were amazing! The team was efficient, friendly, and treated all of our belongings with great care.

We had a very fragile item, and they went above and beyond to handle it with extra caution, which we really appreciated. We pitched in to help keep things moving smoothly, and the whole process couldn’t have gone better.

We would absolutely use them again for another move and have already recommended them to friends and family!

Charles sent a team of three gentlemen to carefully move our home. They safely moved many items, including a piano, fridge, and beds. They quoted price was accurate to the final price.
They used protective floor mats and carefully wrapped our furniture.
No surprises and they arrived on time the day of.
The deposit of 200 was noted on the final bill.

From booking my move with Charles, who promptly took my details and assured me that his team would handle what is always a stressful situation to the move itself. Arriving right on time, Toby and Efy took great care in wrapping fragile furniture items and carefully moved them out of and into each residence. The key to a successful move is being prepared like much of the pre-planning and preparation, packing of boxes and ensuing a clear pathway for the men to work. That includes arranging an area for the truck to be loaded so it doesn’t obstruct any other residents. Like every business, the work is understandably based on how many hours they take so by the owner doing as much as they can beforehand themselves, that will help keep costs down. I would highly recommend Calgary Professional Movers for any residential or office moves. I review many companies and I am happy to offer my appreciation and recommendation.

I made the mistake of using this company. When I first looked into this company, I was happy with the reviews. The website, worked. Contact from the company went smoothly. Then came moving day, I’d rather be attacked by a flock of Geese than deal with the dishonesty from the front office. I will say this, Alex, and his helper who I cannot remember his name, was great. They were the two men who moved my stuff. One of my requests was to have a couch I had taken to the dump. I was assured by a woman over the phone, wouldn’t be a problem, it would be part of the quote. I was quoted 3, probably 4 hours over the phone. A deposit of $160 and $179 an hour. I accepted, paid the deposit. Get to the day of, the issue of the couch was a total unknown. They had no idea. I was called by a man in the office, told me it would cost an extra $150 to take a couch to the dump. I told him to fly a kite. The mood shifted. They called back an hour later asking for $100. I said no. I countered with $75, he said no. That couch is now in my living room. Then I found out, I was responsible to pay for travel time from the yard and to the yard. My move lasted 4 hours, and I paid for 5. I would rate this company lower if I could.

The company franchisees themselves are zero stars for treating customers like they are dishonest, for overcharging and for not following the contract they give customers.

The franchisee, who kept being referred to as “the owner” by the administration woman I was dealing with on the phone, seems to have a big issue with trusting customers. I was told I would have to put down a $160 deposit so I did and I told them not to charge that credit card again. I was going to pay cash for the balance. They demanded a credit card for a $500 “hold”. They attempted to put this $500 hold on my card, which actually was a charge as per my credit card company, without checking with me first. They wanted to take payment for a job that they had not even started yet. This was two days before I was to move. This is incredibly unprofessional and caused a fraud alert with my credit card company. The contract given to me said nothing about a $500 hold that had to be on a credit card. The contract also said that they do accept cash, check, and debit in addition to credit cards. At this point it was two days before I had to move so I could not change companies, also they had $160 of my money already, but they would not continue the booking with just the deposit I put down, the owner wanted assurance I would pay. Which is insulting. Apparently, they have a problem with people not paying I was told by the admin staff. So she told me the owner said I had to pay at least half of the quote when the movers showed up to prove I would pay. So I did that even though it was very strange and not a great way to do business. Treating people like the criminals when you have no history with them is not a great way to build a business with repeat customers.

During the move I communicated with the admin staff that the movers went to the wrong building and moving the truck took 15 minutes and I was told 15 minutes would be taken off at the end of the day. Then at the end of the day, not only did they not take the 15 minutes off, they charged an 30 minutes for “travel time”. Again, not in the contract. The admin staff also told me that the $160 deposit I paid would not go towards the total invoice, which I disagreed with obviously as that’s literally what a deposit is, and eventually she relented after talking to the owner again. The admin woman that I was dealing with kept having to hang up and go talk to the owner whenever I brought up concerns or questioned anything. I ended up sitting with the 2 movers for 45 minutes going back and forth with her and she would hang up and have to talk to the owner and call us back. It was all really strange and frankly aggressive. In the end, I paid more than I quoted and no time was taken off, I just wanted to be done.

It seems like the company has a big problem with people not paying them. Perhaps if they followed the contract that the actual two men and a truck company created for the franchisees to give out then they wouldn’t have issues with this. It was a horrible stressful experience dealing with the office staff and the owner. I gave them this feedback. Because of all this back and forth and dishonesty, I cannot recommend them.

Absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!! Do NOT use them!! I had got quoted a couple hours. I had spoke to company TWICE that I had a heavy upright piano. The day of moving day, they asked to come 2 and a half hours early and they had no idea the had to move a piano?? They didn’t come prepared to fo this. My dad a had physically take apart their ramp and help them setup and move piano and after it took about an hour and a half just for that??? Took TWICE as long to move everything, although I just had the basic furniture to move as I moved out everything previously. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience and not sure if they have lost or broke things as it was going to storage. Scammed big time!!

Two Small Men did a great job for a very fair price. The booking coordinator was very easy to work with, we got the dates we wanted, and the movers were respectful of the condo board rules that they had to use the hallway when our deck would have been extremely convenient. Looking forward to using them for the next phase of our move.

Hard decision as to whether to give them a five star or a four. Reason being they did not arrive until 10:30. I was told it would be between nine and 10. The fellows were great and they were dedicated to their job. Great care was taken with my furniture to be sure nothing was scratched or dented. I had big, heavy furniture and these fellows worked so hard. They were just pleasant to be around.They were funny and social and very willing to do anything they could to make the move pleasant. Just what I needed on a stressful day.

We have used cactus moving twice now, first time was just to move bedroom set and couple couches, we liked the service and went with them for a whole house and business move. Absolutely amazing job 4 guys 2 trucks 12 hours. Very happy with how well they cared for our furniture wrapping it and carrying it. Careful not to hit any walls. I do need some more items moved soon and will definitely be using them a 3rd time.

This company made my move so easy. They were right within the time range in arriving. My movers were friendly, fast and careful with all my stuff. We had a team of 4 movers work all day between a few locations to move us into our home. Ivan, Stan, Jason, and Johan were beyond incredible. We are blown away by how efficient, quick, professional and friendly they were. They were like a well oiled machine. Every item was handled with care and they took apart and set up everything exactly how we asked.

I would strongly advise against using this moving company, despite their high ratings. I had an incredibly frustrating experience that was far below expectations. They initially quoted 2-4 hours to move my two-bedroom condo just 2 km within downtown, but it ended up taking 8 hours.

The crew took 4 hours just to load my pre-packed goods and furniture and to drive to the new location. On top of that, I bought them coffee, only for them to disappear from my unit for 45 minutes, most likely enjoying their coffee on my dime, at a rate of $159/hr. This kind of behavior is completely unprofessional.

What’s even more disappointing is that I know a friend who used them for a similar move (similar number of items) but with a much further distance, and they completed it in 4 hours. Clearly, something went wrong in my case.

They also managed to kill two of my plants – a 9-year-old monstera and a 5-year-old money tree – and damaged two pieces of furniture. Now, nearly a month later, I am still waiting for any kind of resolution through the claims process. They made me pay in full upfront just to start the process, but I haven’t received any updates or decisions.

To top it all off, they continue to deny any wrongdoing and have repeatedly told me that everything I experienced is “normal.” This is completely unacceptable and has left me feeling extremely dissatisfied with their service. I wouldn’t trust this company with any future moves and would not recommend them to anyone.

EDIT: After posting this negative review the team reached out and offered to refund a few hours as well as help compensate for the damages. While I don’t think that it should have come to this, at least they made it right in the end.

The team of Lets get moving was amazing! Super efficient, I had a small move and it was all done within 2 hours. They wrapped everything, covered items with blankets and were very careful with all my items. The guys didn’t hesitate to bring the couch up the stairs when it didn’t fit in the elevator. Amazing experience, would totally recommend to anyone moving.

These guys did a great job moving our stuff. We had a lot more than we imagined but they did it very quickly. This included disassembling and assembling beds. And even taping up boxes which we had forgotten. I was really impressed by how fast and hard they worked.

Our experience with Let’s Get Moving was excellent. They were able to book us in with our short timeline and our movers, Harwinder and Kati, were super professional, hardworking, and efficient. They took very good care of all of our belongings and fragile items, and wrapped everything that had even the slightest possibility of damage in blankets. They were very careful in both properties and we we’re amazed that they managed to move all of our heavy/awkward items without even a scratch on the walls. They were also very easy to talk to and more than happy to take on any suggestions we had. Our move did take a bit longer and later than we planned (due to issues with elevator booking on our end, not the movers), but they made it work and still got the job done in a very reasonable time. When it came time for payment the bill was exactly as we expected and there were no surprises. We’ve never hired professional movers before but this was 100% worth it.

I’ll admit I was skeptical about contracting Let’s Get Moving for my move; reason being that I’m a bit of a perfectionist and would rather go with a service provider based off actual referrals. But there I was signing a deal with a company I only got to know off a Facebook advert – I was desperate and didn’t have the luxury of time to shop around. I took a chance on them, and it was the best chance I’ve taken in a while. These guys were great! From consultation to the actual move, they delivered excellent, professional service. They were attentive and efficient throughout. Zero damages! Zero issues. Even my Mum was super impressed and couldn’t hide it. I know it’s a service I paid for, but I just have to say a huge THANK YOU to these guys for going the extra mile to ensure my move was seemlessly smooth. Thank you again, guys.

You noted a considerable compensation was given to me. NOT THE CASE
If you let the public know how difficult it was to get any compensation from Lets get moving.
From the numerous phone calls and emails and finally offered $275 from Lets get moving for the amount of damage we had was ridiculous.
I had an estimate for $472.50 to just repair a broken chair leg and hutch that was sent to lets get moving.
Lets get moving came back saying with carefully consideration they would like to offer $375
That is $97.50 less than the estimate.
Why could they not just help with the full amount instead of holding back $97.50??
After more conversation lets get moving paid the full estimate cost for the 2 repaired items and we are left with all the rest of the damaged items.
Then emails started May 13th, 14th – 3 emails to me saying lets get moving did not deserve my review and to please remove it.
May 15th 2 more emails to me.

Leg and wheel totally broke off.

Damaged antique chairs, and hutch which I kept saying to be very careful with.
The chairs are part of a set that has been in our family over 100 years.
How does this antique get repaired now???

I was asked to give a quick Google 5 star review before they left but after unpacking and seeing all this damage I would not have given it 5 stars. That is why we gave a revised 2 star review due the incurred damages.

I had the pleasure of having Sean and Daniel help me with my move today, and I can’t say enough about how great they were. Despite the scorching heat (it was over 30°C!), they remained professional, efficient, and respectful throughout the entire move. They worked tirelessly and made sure everything was handled with care.

They were by far the best movers I’ve ever hired – friendly, hardworking, and absolutely dedicated to getting the job done right. It’s not easy moving in this heat, but they powered through and made the whole experience as smooth as possible. I truly appreciate their hard work and attitude.

Their communication that night was prompt, professional, and extremely helpful.
The day of the move, they were extremely kind, careful, and professional. The entire team were so awesome and the piano was delivered at cheaper than the estimated quote due to their fast work. They were also courteous of my landscaping at my house as they parked the truck. Amazing people.

The guys at Absolute Moving did a great job for me Feb 14, 2025. It was a really cold day but that didn’t slow them down one bit. We hired absolute moving and delivery to move us into our new house. They showed up on time and were very respectful and polite. There was a lot to move and it was a very hot day but I didn’t hear them complain once. I have hired a company of moving companies in the past but these guys were amazing, definitely the best I have seen.

I used Simply the Best Movers on September 6, 2024 when relocating within Calgary. For me looking for the right moving company was an exhausting and very daunting task. I was looking for honest, reliable, reasonably priced professionals who would take care not to damage anything in the process. Luckily I heard about Simply the Best Movers by a chance meeting with the owner Sasha. He assured me I would be in good hands, and he came through with that promise!
Adam and Tim arrived early on the day of pick up, they were quick, efficient, and very personable, which instantly put me at ease. I had everything stacked in our oversized garage ready to go, so it was pretty straightforward for them to load it up. At the delivery destination Adam and Tim took the time to make sure everything was put in its rightful place, which saved me from relocating items to other rooms later on. They were respectful, kind and considerate, paying attention to remove their shoes and not damage anything when entering the house. I am 100% satisfied with Simply the Best movers and have went as far as to recommend them to family, friends and clients. My personal experience I would say was top tier, for nearly half the price of the competitors.

We were extremely happy with the movers that we had. Seitharz and Alex were very careful to detail. Everything was wrapped before moving and carefully put in place. They were friendly on time and worked tirelessly. Highly recommend this company. Other family members have used these people a few times.

Was moving out of a 2 bedroom, 1000 sqft apartment to an upper suite of a house.
12 hours!!!!! My worst mover only took just over 6 hours! Ended up with damage to the apartment we were leaving, fined by the strata due to going so far beyond the move cut off time, a dresser that is now missing a drawer, and other minor damage! My husband was the hardest worker on the moving team today! Two boxes at a time on a dolly steered by two movers. I would not see them for like 20 minutes!
Owner didn’t seem to care, held our furniture for ransom! Their policy is that the bill gets paid before the truck is fully unloaded!
Never have I dealt with this before!

120. hour for a reason, and trust me I would find it hard to believe any 5 star reviews on here for the simple fact that anyone can create false reviews. 2 guys, and very slow. Pay the extra 30. hour and get quality service. I ended up with scratches on the hardwood from where they took apart a bed frame and from taking an antique table that was already apart – sliding on hardwood. AND nope they do not care, but that is okay – thank god for my education in law.

We hired this company for our move from Calgary to Rocky Mountain House. They were punctual, efficient , friendly and very hard working. In 7 years we had amassed a house full of furniture and collectibles (not to mention the significant amount of tools in my husband’s garage) and they treated everything with the utmost care and respect. The only short coming was they underestimated the size of the truck they required for the amount of stuff we had which required us to make another trip back to calgary (after our move) to collect the rest. Overall it was a great experience with great service. Despite the short fall on the truck, i would hire them again for a move. Adam and Tim were nothing short of professional and courteous. Keep up the great work!

Made my long distance move (Calgary to Northern AB) so smooth, efficient, fast and easy! The movers were kind, professional and did an amazing job. They were very accommodating of all my requests. Would 100% recommend this company for moves within Calgary as well as across Alberta.

Zero stars!! Extremely disappointed with our experience. Would not recommend this company to anyone. We hired 2 Burley Men to move our entire bedroom set, and it was disastrous. To start, they asked for details of the move and provided us an estimate of about $300 and we were told that the final cost wouldn’t drastically change from this number. Two not-so-burley men showed up an hour late, with no equipment apart from the truck, damaged the wall in two places moving the furniture out of the house, and to our horror, dropped our dresser on the pavement, causing significant damage to our pristine condition bedroom set. We were horrified. They then proceeded to take two wrong turns on the way to our destination and when they were finished we were presented with a bill of $800.00!! Their argument was that the trip took longer than expected (even though they were an hour late and went the wrong way). When we refused to pay this due to the damage, them being late, and the $300 quote we were given, they told us they couldn’t leave without being paid and to take it up with management. With a giant moving truck parked on our driveway we had little choice but to pay them. When we called regarding damages, we received a lousy $60 for our troubles. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, WOULD NOT HIRE AGAIN.

LC and RJ were awesome, super helpful hard working, but also very respectful. They were both very helpful and patient giving us time to decide what we wanted to do. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs help moving.

Please, just don’t even listen to the “good reviews” ESPECIALLY if you’re moving long distance. I have talked to absolutely no one that has had a positive experience from this company, everyone cringes when I tell them who we had hired. Literal gaslighting crooks. Absolutely no communication. Damaged and broken furniture, while taking little to no responsibility. The price by weight is an absolute scam. Instead of 2 burley men, you get 1 skinny conspiracy theorist that has to load and unload all of your stuff by himself, leaving room for more damage to happen- who also mentions “the farther you go, the more stuff gets damaged”. Maybe do the job you’re paid so much for and that wouldn’t just be the rule of thumb. They take absolutely no responsibility for anything, because you have to sign that your stuff is in good condition and pay before you see it BECAUSE THATS THEIR POLICY. We’ve had to replace/hire people to fix all our furniture. After leaving a review with the BBB I have zero clue how they are still in business because they have a 1.38/5 on there.
Just please do not give these crooks your money or your belongings too “take care of”. (Not picture is a completely smashed to pieces coffee table and broken office wheeled drawer)

I have moved internationally and moved houses at least over 10 times in my life, but this has been the worst move I ever had.

From BC to AB

First, they don’t schedule an specific time. They give you a 2-3 days window to pick up 3-4 days to deliver later. And this is all according to THEIR convenience, never the clients.

Moving day; they called to change the time a total of 5 times from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, to 7:00pm, then, to the next day. The next day again, from 9:00am to 10:30am

My boxes were labelled, heavy, this side up, do not stack, fragile, etc..
They were fast and loaded everything in 2 hours or so. But guess what?

They don’t care if you have fragile items in your boxes. They need to make sure they truck uses every single little square footage. BECAUSE ITS ABOUT THEM, NOT THE CLIENT.

Delivery day was the same thing. We didn’t know what day they were coming. We waited patiently. Slept in a hotels all the nights waiting for them to show up! And again, they changed the delivery time/day 2 times again.

When things arrived, it wasn’t the same truck. So, they moved things from one truck to a warehouse and then to another truck.

Many things were damaged, my dining table was completely broken, I only took a few pictures, but things inside boxes were broken, glasses broken, etc..

They only gave us like $300 back for repairs, from a $4500 bill nightmare.

I will NOT recommend them. What a horrible horrible experience.

did my stuff make it from vancouver to calgary? yes. did a lot of items arrive broken? yes. did the movers drop things loading into my house? yes. was i charged over 1000 from what i was quoted? yes. was not worth it and will definitely not be using this company again.

Worst experience ever!!!!!! Overcharged us, so many damages!!!!! Smoking dope and drinking booze on the job, Playing vulgar music which was so inappropriate!!!!! Rude and inconsiderate. Took their time moving, throwing our items around and packing them Inappropriately, leaving stuff behind, Had other peoples things in the moving trailer…..At the end of the move our garment bags containing our clothing was just throw out of the truck onto the driveway!!!!!! When it came to pay they would not unlock it until they were paid in full what they wanted!!!!!!
