Boris and Rost did an amazing job today. They worked 10 hours straight and in hot environments. They moved VERY COMPLICATED ITEMS and so many items. None broken. Multiple stairs too! I don’t think they even took a bathroom break. Very attentive and listened and were so patient. They did two trips and were so humble and lovely. We cannot thank them enough for an amazing job. Literally crying at how great they did everything. Worth every penny!

I used Calgary Movers Pro for a moving today, what seemed like a mountain of task was carried out like a breeze by two professional movers and big truck. I’m very happy and would totally recommend using the service. The movers were professional, had everything dissembled, blanketed and moved carefully without damaging doors and elevators. Finding the right moving company can be stressful with how many options there are.

I asked for quotes from many companies and chose best moves for their professionalism, prompt, polite communication and respectful attitude.

My choice was validated when I met the two excellent movers, Tudor and Mykola. They were punctual, focused , efficient and very attentive to detail. Anytime they had to do additional work or work differently from expectations, they provided excellent communication why an alternative solution was required. Both of them also moved large plants very competently — see the photos.

In addition, their estimated quote was within 10% of the actual cost, despite me having significantly more boxes at the time of moving than at the time of consultation.

To optimize your moving experience, I highly recommend you pack yourself before the move and disassemble the furniture into movable portions that can fit through doorways.

This company moved us a few days ago, and they were awesome! They were professional and completed the move very quickly. The movers made sure to fully explain the process, and offered various options to keep our belongings safe and clean during the move.

The two men who moved us worked extremely hard on a hot day and had us moved faster than expected. All of our belongings were in the same condition when the move was completed, and they made sure we were satisfied with the job they did. We have never had to hire a moving company before. From the moment I filled out the online form, Russ was so helpful and answered all of my questions. We did some research and Best Moves was highly rated on Google. We had a lot to move, a storage pod, a basement full of stuff and some furniture at my in-laws house. From beginning to end we could not have been more thrilled with our moving crew. They were friendly, efficient and just overall easy to get along with. The move took longer then they had thought so they helped with some of the pod and then went to their next job. The pod was the least of our concerns. The basement and all of the other items were handled with care and they checked where we wanted it all in our new house.

From booking my move with Charles, who promptly took my details and assured me that his team would handle what is always a stressful situation to the move itself. Arriving right on time, Toby and Efy took great care in wrapping fragile furniture items and carefully moved them out of and into each residence. The key to a successful move is being prepared like much of the pre-planning and preparation, packing of boxes and ensuing a clear pathway for the men to work. That includes arranging an area for the truck to be loaded so it doesn’t obstruct any other residents. Like every business, the work is understandably based on how many hours they take so by the owner doing as much as they can beforehand themselves, that will help keep costs down. I would highly recommend Calgary Professional Movers for any residential or office moves. I review many companies and I am happy to offer my appreciation and recommendation.

I made the mistake of using this company. When I first looked into this company, I was happy with the reviews. The website, worked. Contact from the company went smoothly. Then came moving day, I’d rather be attacked by a flock of Geese than deal with the dishonesty from the front office. I will say this, Alex, and his helper who I cannot remember his name, was great. They were the two men who moved my stuff. One of my requests was to have a couch I had taken to the dump. I was assured by a woman over the phone, wouldn’t be a problem, it would be part of the quote. I was quoted 3, probably 4 hours over the phone. A deposit of $160 and $179 an hour. I accepted, paid the deposit. Get to the day of, the issue of the couch was a total unknown. They had no idea. I was called by a man in the office, told me it would cost an extra $150 to take a couch to the dump. I told him to fly a kite. The mood shifted. They called back an hour later asking for $100. I said no. I countered with $75, he said no. That couch is now in my living room. Then I found out, I was responsible to pay for travel time from the yard and to the yard. My move lasted 4 hours, and I paid for 5. I would rate this company lower if I could.

I recently used Two Men and a Truck to move living room and bedroom furniture. Although, the movers did a good job, I feel like I was completely SCAMMED! When I called for a quote, they said it cost $189 per hour. They didn’t state that they charge from the minute they leave their office (took 45 min to get downtown and pull up in front of a house) and they charge a hefty gas price. I never received any paperwork detailing this before the move, an invoice or receipt. They arrived with paperwork for me to read (paying $189 a hour for this, when it should have been sent in an email prior). The total cost to move 5 km, 3 hours of work came to $819. I was SHOCKED! Still haven’t received a breakdown of what I paid for. Will NOT recommend!!

I feel like a schmuck for using two men and a truck. They gave me a quote of 8 to 10 hours. It took 16 1/2 hours and cost $1000 more than the original quote. While moving into the new house they dropped a TV. They said it wasn’t damaged but it was broken. They paid me $350 for a $2000 TV. I had a much larger TV to be mounted, but it took two weeks for someone to be available. That tv was broken too. Unfortunately, two men and a truck said that the amount of time was too long so they wouldn’t do anything to compensate me. If you hire two men and a truck, I wish you good luck.

Very kind and understanding. Moved my Piano (Yamaha U3) very carefully and safely. They were also careful not to damage walls and doorways! The extra fuel and heavy item fees took me somewhat by surprise and an email outlining a predicted rate would have been nice. Overall, good and worth while experience.

The three guys that helped me were great overall, they were really helpful and I sincerely appreciate that.

What I’m frustrated about is that I was quoted $460-500 and on the day of they arrived and said that the boss wanted to send 3 guys since they had a busy day over all, so now my rate was increasing to $169 an hour. How is that my problem? Because the company booked more jobs than was reasonable for two men which I was originally told was the plan, over the phone and in email, now I have to pay for that? I then ended up paying $700 once it was all said and done. It felt manipulative that instead of letting me know ahead of time, I was informed of the change once they were already standing in my house with my things packed, so what choice did i have? I’m a single person who budgeted for what I was told the cost would be. The cost didn’t change because of ME so why do I have to cover the extra body??

Then they shattered Christmas ornaments of mine, didn’t tell me, and I found glass and porcelains on my side walk and pieces of broken ornaments in the box. Being told I can’t be compensated without a photo, but they shattered some and threw them out because as per the sidewalk evidence it was completely destroyed and went in the garbage I assume.

I want to be able to give a positive review because aside from the broken items the three guys were super nice and helpful
To me. But as a company I feel taken advantage of and like there’s no care for this «surprise» cost increase or for important items or money being ruined without even the courtesy to let me know. I know stuff happens, but to not tell me?

At this point unless some actual compensation and apology is provided I will not be recommending this company for the hidden fees and lack of transparency.

Great experience – I was in a pinch and these guys were able to make my move stress-free. Having movers and storage all in one service is such a convenience. Customer service is great, always friendly and helpful/communicative. The guys that did my move were great – very upbeat and efficient, had my house cleared out in no time! Looking forward to completing the rest of my move with 2 Small Men.

The boys showed up at 10 AM sharp ready to go with big smiles on their face as I couldn’t have asked for better help getting moved. Everything was handled respectfully and carefully the entire time with zero damage, but also quickly as well as carefully. 100% would recommend these fellas. Cheers!

6 guys showed at our place for packing. After staying in the house for 3 hours, they left without doing a walk-through and after they left I realized that there are still a lot of things in the house unpacked. Almost none of the boxes were labeled and we found out that one of the box that is left open has toilet brush and coats packaged together!

Moving day started off as I was waiting for a call to let them know they are on their way. I called the dispatch and they told me yes, they will be calling me when they are leaving the shop. 10 minutes later, my door rang and 1 truck was there. When I ask about the other one, they said there is some issue with the original truck (later movers told me that the team who did the packing decline the moving job without providing any explanation) so they are trying to find a new one. Upon checking things, they were also surprised with the level of poor packing around the house. When they were moving the boxes they constantly complain about how bad of a job was done by the packers. Around 1:30 pm, I did not see anyone in the house and went out to check how things are as there are still items in the house. To my surprise I saw that both trucks were closed and they are ready to leave. I run after the truck to see where they are going and they told me they are done and meet me at new place in 30-45 mins. Again no walk through after loading the truck, nothing and they left few boxes at home. While moving things to our new house, things get worse. Half of the crew did not ever take-off their shoes and was walking on the carpets with their street shoes. Since nothing is labeled by the packers, garage stuff was left in our bedroom, bedroom stuff left in basement etc. On top of all this, they dropped a furniture on the hardwood floor and dragged it. As a result, now our floors are damaged. They also took a picture of the incident and told us that the claims department is going to handle it. When they were showing me the charges, they admitted that they charged us extra 2-3 hours due to poor packaging which was not my fault I believe as I hired packaging service to avoid these.
So overall, I paid over $5,000 for a service that I did not seem like carried out with any professionalism or courtesy. Some of our items were damaged, our new house was walked over by dirty shoes before we moved in, floor got damaged and we were charged extra for the poor job completed by packers

James and Prab were excellent. They always asked about the items and what/where I wanted them. They packed our OLED tv and furniture to minimize scuffs – and it worked. I have never paid for moving ever until now and I am extremely happy and grateful. I will be using this company once more when my wife and I finally move to our first house someday.

We have used Gilbert’s Mountain Movers twice now and we will use them again. They showed up ready to get to work and did such an excellent job wrapping and prepping our big items to move. I hired Mountain Movers for a June 1 move in Calgary and was very impressed. The crew (Chief, Shelby, and Chad) arrived on time, were professional throughout, and completed the move on schedule and within the quoted cost. No damage to my belongings or either home. I’d gladly use them again and highly recommend them to anyone planning a move.

The issues with their service was not apparent until we started to unpack. Things were not packed as I would have expected (I have had professionals move/pack before). Example of what was done, we had hanging clothes that were wrapped around our hangers and then stuffed in the bottom of wardrobe (hanging) boxes. We also had drawer organizers that had items in them that could/should have been plastic wrapped and placed into a box; instead the contents were poured out into a box and the organizer placed in a box that went to another room. These are not the only issues we had but just 2 examples. We are still, a month later, trying to find stuff.

The packing crew and post move communication is where our issues are with this company. The crew that came to actual do the move were great. This is the only reason they got 2 stars.

I did email the owner to try to discuss the issues and had no response.

I used Simply the Best Movers on September 6, 2024 when relocating within Calgary. For me looking for the right moving company was an exhausting and very daunting task. I was looking for honest, reliable, reasonably priced professionals who would take care not to damage anything in the process. Luckily I heard about Simply the Best Movers by a chance meeting with the owner Sasha. He assured me I would be in good hands, and he came through with that promise!
Adam and Tim arrived early on the day of pick up, they were quick, efficient, and very personable, which instantly put me at ease. I had everything stacked in our oversized garage ready to go, so it was pretty straightforward for them to load it up. At the delivery destination Adam and Tim took the time to make sure everything was put in its rightful place, which saved me from relocating items to other rooms later on. They were respectful, kind and considerate, paying attention to remove their shoes and not damage anything when entering the house. I am 100% satisfied with Simply the Best movers and have went as far as to recommend them to family, friends and clients. My personal experience I would say was top tier, for nearly half the price of the competitors.

We hired this company for our move from Calgary to Rocky Mountain House. They were punctual, efficient , friendly and very hard working. In 7 years we had amassed a house full of furniture and collectibles (not to mention the significant amount of tools in my husband’s garage) and they treated everything with the utmost care and respect. The only short coming was they underestimated the size of the truck they required for the amount of stuff we had which required us to make another trip back to calgary (after our move) to collect the rest. Was moving out of a 2 bedroom, 1000 sqft apartment to an upper suite of a house.
12 hours!!!!! My worst mover only took just over 6 hours! Ended up with damage to the apartment we were leaving, fined by the strata due to going so far beyond the move cut off time, a dresser that is now missing a drawer, and other minor damage! My husband was the hardest worker on the moving team today! Two boxes at a time on a dolly steered by two movers. I would not see them for like 20 minutes!
Owner didn’t seem to care, held our furniture for ransom! Their policy is that the bill gets paid before the truck is fully unloaded!
Never have I dealt with this before!

I moved out of my apartment in mid February and even though it was super cold and up a whole bunch of stairs the movers were absolutely amazing. They were very friendly, efficient and prompt. Nothing was broken or damaged in the move including my stuff, the walls of the old place or anything in the new place. I will happily request their help again the next time I move!

If you let the public know how difficult it was to get any compensation from Lets get moving.
From the numerous phone calls and emails and finally offered $275 from Lets get moving for the amount of damage we had was ridiculous.
I had an estimate for $472.50 to just repair a broken chair leg and hutch that was sent to lets get moving.
Lets get moving came back saying with carefully consideration they would like to offer $375
That is $97.50 less than the estimate.
Why could they not just help with the full amount instead of holding back $97.50??
After more conversation lets get moving paid the full estimate cost for the 2 repaired items and we are left with all the rest of the damaged items.
Then emails started May 13th, 14th – 3 emails to me saying lets get moving did not deserve my review and to please remove it.
May 15th 2 more emails to me.
I had eventually asked not to be contacted again as this is pestering and at the point of harassment to take my review down.
I see you do have lots of good reviews.
Did the bad ones get harassed like we did and pull their reviews?

We had issues when unpacking.
To much Damaged furniture.

This is the antique hutch we just unwrapped.
Leg and wheel totally broke off.

Damaged antique chairs, and hutch which I kept saying to be very careful with.
The chairs are part of a set that has been in our family over 100 years.
How does this antique get repaired now???

I was asked to give a quick Google 5 star review before they left but after unpacking and seeing all this damage I would not have given it 5 stars. That is why we gave a revised 2 star review due the incurred damages.

Absolute Moving are the ABSOLUTE BEST. I booked with them last minute to buy a piano on facebook marketplace.
Their communication that night was prompt, professional, and extremely helpful.
The day of the move, they were extremely kind, careful, and professional. The entire team were so awesome and the piano was delivered at cheaper than the estimated quote due to their fast work. They were also courteous of my landscaping at my house as they parked the truck. Amazing people.

The crew from Absolute Moving & Delivery were great with our recent move. The team loaded the truck so fast, we were amazed at how quickly they cleared out our old house. Our new house has a lot of stairs and the crew did a fantastic job. We had a few extras that we added on and an unexpected extra trip the guys graciously did. The final amount was very close to the estimate. The extra charged was expected with the additional asks. Highly recommend!
