I walked a relatively short route (a mix of granular and paved) and there are way too many trails to cover in a single day (for the average person of course!)

There’re 2 rooms of toilets here. Clean.
Worth coming for adventure once. But it would be quite boring if you’re gonna come again unless you come for jogging or walking dogs.

It’s is great if you like mountain biking and camping and the river is dang cold but it feels great after a full day of activities!! Lots of trails around!

The bathrooms and showers are a considerable distance away from most of the sites.
Showers are coin-operated so we didn’t bother to use them and showered in our own rig.
A fairly good value for the money, though.
Convenient for a one night stay.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Major drawback: They are doing some major construction for a parking lot adjacent to the RV Park and they had heavy equipment running until well into the evening.
Not conducive to getting any kind of rest.
I suppose circumstances will change when the parking lot is completed.

Our site, 57, was a gravel based back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp and water only) were to the left side. Distancing is poor for a Provincial Park. Some sites had a vegetation privacy barrier. Each site has a table and a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was reasonably well groomed. Be aware. There is traffic noise as the park is located right beside the highway. You may hear trains and helicopters as well.
There is NO park included wifi or cable TV. We did not find any OTA channels. Satellite might be difficult. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean.
There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be an okay overnighter. We paid $39.00 per night plus a $11.43 reservation fee and one must have paid for a Kananaskis Conservation Pass
at $15.00/day 0r $90.00 for the year ($65.43 for one night) and we feel we received poor value. We will look for other alternatives if in the area again.
The campground is dirty, the sites are so close together and the septic and the fresh water source are in the ground right next to each other. It is very unsanitary. I saw a person in a rented RV lay their open water line on the ground next to the septic hole, disgusting.
The bathrooms are so old and dirty. I feel for those people who have to use them for showers, etc.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. We talked to people who have stayed here before and they all agree the owners do not seem to care about the state of the grounds or the facilities.
They must be making tons of $$ as it was always full with people coming in and going out.
The only positive thing I have to say is the women who work in the office are very helpful.
Oh and the putt putt course is overrun with weeds and poorly maintained. They shouldn’t even advertise it.
The rules that this campground has woukd make you think that it’s 5 star accomadation when in reality it’s a 1 star. They claim the rules are county bylaws, which after speaking to the county they are not, the campground can have the land use bylaws changed anytime they want to. But what does it matter when the campground itself picks and chooses which of their own bylaws they follow and pick and choose which guests to enforce the bylaws on.
You can talk to the office staff and ask them questions but if you go and talk to them again in a few days or more they completely backtrack on what they said the last time. For example my son asked one of the ladies about skirting for the winter told her exactly what we were getting and doing she said yes, he soent 700$ on material then 2 weeks later when we started installing it they said that it wouldn’t be good enough and we’d have to get something different. Not to mention they only give 72 hours to install it which is hard when you work 6 days a week 12 hours a day.
The bathrooms and showers and laundry are in deplorable condition, the showers get cleaned once a day but never properly. They is always a thick layer of scum on the walls on hand rails. Most of the shorter head leak too. Hit and miss if there’s hot water or not and the water always has a stench to it. The toilets don’t flush properly, but the campground puts signs on the doors remind us to flush thinking that it’s the guests fault that the toilets are always backed up, sometimes sitting full of excrement for 12+ hours. If the bathrooms were inspected by AHS they’d be shutdown. In the laundry room you’re lucky if they have more than one dryer going and lucky to get your clothes dryer by the end of the day even if you started in the morning.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. Even

First impression was not great, lack of management and communication, it’s very rustic, roads are rough and the site/accommodations were untidy and not clearly marked.
This was my first visit so I emailed to make a reservation, made a deposit by Etransfer as I was instructed to do but then I did not receive any sort of confirmation or email after that. I tried calling a couple of times but got voicemail. Took a chance and headed out anyway, it’s not that far from home. Got there and was a little confused about where to check in. The «office» is a little RV parked down the road from the entrance, and there were a number of random buildings in between. Spoke to a very nice young guy, filled in my name and birthdate on the form then he sent me on my way with no clear indication where to go. My fault for not clarifying and he did offer to call someone to show me the way and said to call if I needed to. (When I did get lost I tried calling but got voicemail.) I got to the campsite, there were a few teepees and I didn’t know which one was mine so I just chose one and got set up. There wasn’t anyone else staying in the other teepees while I was there anyway. Another young man walked up shortly after I got there and introduced himself as a manager and gave me a couple of notes. But when I went to leave there was no one at the office, I tried calling again and still couldn’t get ahold of anyone. So I left and sent the remaining balance by Etransfer.
The stay itself was good, except for the large downpour which led to a number of things getting wet. But luckily the sun came out after, otherwise I might have slept in my car.
I do love the fact that this place exists and that it is rustic and it is Indigenous owned and managed. I would stay again. Hoping that the kinks are worked out.
