Recently looking for a shop to take on my Fleet repairs, I asked a friend that had been in the industry, and he told me no other than Mark Miller and his Fantastic Team at A1 Auto Body. A1 not only booked me in extremely quick, but received all required parts on time (lots of pieces) and delivered the truck on time as well. A1 is now my business and personal go to for both Autobody and Mechanical. Thank you all for a stress free experience.

Getting in an accident is SO stressful (even when no one is hurt which luckily was our case). And that’s just the beginning, then it’s navigating insurance, paperwork, and bureaucracy. The team at A1 were kind & knowledgeable. Even though they (and all autobody shops) are busy and backed up because of so many Calgary accidents this winter, everyone from the estimator (shoutout Sean!) and office staff (shoutout Kirsten and the lady at front desk) and management (that’s you Mark McAlister) were patient and helpful and returned calls in timely fashion giving updates and help along the way. I didn’t meet the technicians who did the auto body work but as you can see the car came back in perfect condition and newly painted within a week of dropping it off – it was so clean I thought it was a new car. 10/10 and will always use A1 although i hope it’s a very long time (or never!) before I have to again.

It was the fall of 2024 when Christa contacted us to book in our 2023 Tahoe that had hail damage. We agreed to March 17th to bring in the truck and as promised we had a rental vehicle waiting for us. The truck was expected to take 60 days to repair and true to their word it was completed. We picked up the truck and Christa went over all the paper work and had prepared a list of how to care for the truck when it comes to cleaning exterior. We took the truck back 3 weeks later as we had a few minor issues, met with Mark and he immediately booked the truck in that same day and provided us a service loaner. We weren’t expecting that the truck would go in right away, this exceeded our expectation’s. We picked up the truck a week later and our deficiencies were repaired.

A1 Auto Body shop is one of the cleanest auto body shops that I have ever seen both inside and out. I would like to thank Christa, Mike and Carla as they were very professional, and their customer service is one of the best that I have ever received.

Knibbe did wonderful work on my vehicle. They are very honest and incredibly friendly. I have been to at least a dozen private mechanics and dealerships around the city and have been constantly disappointed or scammed. Knibbe definitely did not disappoint. This will be the only shop I bring my vehicle to ever again.

Amazing service! I needed a second opinion on my car as I was not sold on what my dealership had said and then quoted. I don’t have my own ‘garage’ so I asked a friend and they suggested Knibbe as they had heard good things. From the first call the service was great. Every time I asked questions they walked me through everything. Their quote was not far off what my dealership provided for the same thing, but it included other issues that were more serious. The process of drop off, shuttle, updates and until pickup were seamless. I loved that they showed myself and each customer before me their old parts and explained everything. It was a learning experience. They definitely are doing that right for those of us who are not car savvy. I have an older car and slowly things are going wrong with it, so going forward this will be my go to garage. Thanks for making what I feel is never a pleasant experience, very pleasant. Thanks!

Went for a seasonal check up, staff specifically Shawn is very polite, and friendly. I left my car around 9 am and by 4 pm it was ready for me. Pricing is fair and transparent.

I am so grateful to Fred and the staff here. I was in Calgary from BC for a family funeral and had car issues. They were so understanding as it was Friday and we had an 8 hour drive back to BC on Monday.
They got my car in for service, a shuttle to where I was staying and got my car back same day.

Just had Knibbe perform routine service on my Mazda. I was given a ride to/from my house. The service was handled promptly and professionally. No surprises and excellent customer care. The team at Canyon Meadows Auto is fantastic, they are always my go-to mechanics. I had to get my ignition lock cylinder replaced and a new key cut and they completed the work at the last minute very quickly, and at a very reasonable price. I’m always confident to leave my car with them, knowing it’s in good hands. They’re also super friendly, helpful and always follow up with me after, great customer service. Highly recommend.

Canyon Meadows is where we always go to have work done on our three cars. We trust them. As I’ve said before, we find their assessments to be thorough, their recommendations prioritized for us so we could easily make decisions, and their cost estimates in line with the work required. They are always upfront and transparent with us and their turnaround and overall service is excellent! We’ve never had to take a car back to them because their work was below standard or faulty. They are a very professional team who do excellent work and I am completely confident in their service.

Don and the guys at Canyon Meadows, recently did some service work on my vehicle, after getting quoted a huge price I called Don to see what their prices were like, needless to say Don came in way cheaper and even replaced more than the dealer did for that repair! They did an amazing job getting my vehicle back into a better state which I am super grateful for. They managed to get the repair done very quickly and got me back onto the road. Updating my review.

I had a negative experience with the shop, but it seems they are trying hard to make it right. Which I really appreciate them doing that! Most other shops would have just told me to get lost and ran off with the money I paid.

These guys don’t seem to be doing that and to me that’s a very stand up move. If all goes as discussed, I’ll be a very happy camper.

I took my VW Tiguan in for a mechanical inspection and the team at Canyon Meadows completed a report which outlined what they discovered, both good and bad. A full report, with some photos, was texted to me and a few issues were ID’d as needing attention. The approved work was done quickly and my vehicle was back in my hands the same day. I won’t hesitate to return if and when my next service is necessary.

The shop inspected my 2012 my Nissan rogue. They gave me a detailed report and explained the safety concerns. While the repairs cost was more than I expected the shop was able to do the high priority repairs done right away and get my vehicle driving again. I would definitely consider them again in the future.

Great Car Shop with Great service.

This place has one of the best price in Calgary for out of state inspection for new comers. The people working here are super friendly and provide great service.

I went in for an out of state inspection and used their waiting room till my car was being inspected. Good and comfortable space to wait.

The staff did a great job with inspection and provided me an inspection report to get my car registered. Also they washed my car after the inspection.

I will explore their service in the near future in case I need anything.

Also recently I had to take my car back in for a very specific noise. Three different people took my car out and they even took me with them to make sure it was the same noise I was hearing. They fixed the problem and then before giving it back, they again had three people double check that the noise was gone. Cars can be so stressful but they never made me feel like I was crazy for hearing some noise or bringing it back. These guys are all very kind and hard working

Moved back to Calgary tried a place closer to home. Not a good plan. Got a quote from new place, seemed a bit high. Decided it was best to go where I knew they were fair. Fixed all the issues for much less, some of the work didn’t need to be done, some was misdiagnosed by the other place. Everything fixed at a much better price and I am confident the work was done right.
It’s a bit of a drive for me, but the only place I will go.

Seumas, Reeve and the gang are fantastic and very easy to deal with. I’ve never felt upsold on any unnecessary services – these guys give an honest assessment and their work seems top notch. They were helpful and patient helping me figure out replacing the suspension/control arm components on my old truck, including adding in extra parts I dropped off and wanted to use. Been going to Adair for a number of years and will definitely continue to do so.

My experience with the team at Venture Motorworks is always great! They treat my vehicle like their own with care and always return it washed and shiny! They provide detailed estimates with descriptions of the problems along with photos. They are very good about explaining what should be looked at more urgently versus what could be deferred to a later date or what to keep an eye on. The staff are friendly, professional and very trustworthy! After a dealership quoted a number of services that should be done given the age of my car, Venture offered a visual and mechanical check and said none of these services were needed as yet and just did the the regular maintenance of oil change and tire rotation. It’s nice to not have to do the work until needed, and this is what you need in a good and honest mechanic!

I have never had to take a vehicle to a shop before, but I could not for the life of me figure out the issues I was having. So I have my car to them on some family advice. It took a bit of time but they solved it and to my suprise the cost was very minimal. I would definitely recommend these people to anyone I meet.

Went for a suggested «walk in» oil change appointment today and couldn’t be more pleased. They took me in right away, I was seated for probably 20 minutes and they were finished. Was not pressured for any sort of upsale, and that’s the most reasonably priced and cost effective oil change I’ve ever had! Thanks guys, I will DEFINITELY be back.

My oil change was quick, within the estimated time of 30 minutes and the courtesy was very respectful. The bathroom was clean, and although the sitting room is small it was comfortable and they had complimentary soft drinks available if needed. Excellent price, synthetic oil and if I have no issues, I will definitely be coming back again! Thank you so much!

Lifesavers! After an AMA fail (17 hour wait to get a tow from YYC parking) these folks graciously received our car with little notice, and close to closing. While we didn’t expect them to look at it until the next day or later, and were planning on renting a car to get back to Lethbridge and return to Calgary to pick it up when we could, they promptly got it running (completely dead battery—the guy who gives boosts at the airport figured it was something else as he couldn’t boost us, so told us to get a tow). They ordered a replacement which was delivered to their shop in less than 10 minutes. Only charged us 20 bucks. Super great folks here: honest, competent and good-humoured. Did I mention they’re lifesavers too? Many thanks!!

I am Efosa peter Ifada. I’ve been going to Country Hills Mechanic Shop for a while now, and they never disappoint! Today was my fourth visit for an oil and filter change, and once again, their honesty and professionalism stood out.

Unlike a mechanic shop near my house that once gave me an inflated bill for unnecessary repairs, Country Hills does the opposite—they check everything, cancel what’s not needed, and even let you know when a part might need replacement in the future rather than falsely upselling. That kind of integrity is rare.

Even though I have two mechanic shops just minutes from my house, I gladly drive 32 minutes to get to Countryhills. Their fair pricing, honesty, and respect for customers make it worth it! Highly recommend!

AMA approved and professional service. Straight forward and up front advice. I had to get a vehicle towed to them on a Sunday, without prior notice. I got a call first thing Monday and they did their absolute best to get my vehicle fixed and on the road again. And I got an AMA discount! They don’t use cheap alternative parts but the correct ones for your vehicle. Their diagnostic service is detailed and comprehensive.

They are one of the best auto shops I have ever been to! My new car needed in inspection and oil change and they couldn’t get me in for two weeks but made the effort and kindly got me in the same day and all done that day. They are truly the best

I got my car inspected here twice at different time intervals and the cost to replace the power steering increased significantly.

I also got my car inspected at a different auto shop and they mentioned that no significant repair is required right away.

It felt that the assessment for my old car was appropriate, but I would have preferred if a different repair plan was provided for this vehicle. The cost to repair the car exceeded the value of the vehicle.

Also I wished that they showed their customers the different quality of the new parts they replace the old ones with. I wouldn’t mind paying more for higher quality parts.

We were in calgary from out of town (winnipeg) and on our way out, we noticed that every time we refuelled, our vehicle had a hard time turning over. We called to ask if we could bring the vehicle in, and while they didnt have an appointment slot, they said we could drop it off and they would try to get to it between other appointments.

They were able to take a look at it, and fix it right up that same day!! Very impressed with the customer service, their work and their prices.

Thanks to this team, we are safely on our way back home to Winnipeg!

Great shop, super friendly and stand by their work. We had a rack & pinion replaced in February 2025 and it started leaking after only a few months. They got a new one installed in just a few days and didn’t give us any trouble or any back/forth. Made the warranty process seamless on our end. Things break but nice to know these guys standby their service. Appreciate all the help Dylan!

Mount Pleasant Auto is awesome, I have taken multiple vehicles there. The prices were better than the dealership in most cases and they had me in the next day. Even with some significant work needed.
I had some other issues come up after maintenance and they helped me the same day with diagnosis and had parts there the following morning. They even cut me a break on labor.
Great customer service, David is nice and calls back, emails back quickly.

From the first phone call to set up an appointment, through the service and up to the point of picking up the vehicle, there was a warmth to the staff that is rare. I had my front sway bar replaced, the quote was considerably cheaper than another quote I got. I dropped my car off at 8:00 and it was ready for pick up that same day.

And I even had a few laughs with them about Shawshank Redemption – so that’s a bonus!

I highly recommend this place: great workmanship, great customer service and honesty in pricing.

I really wanted to like this business as they are close to home and very convenient but they leave a lot to be desired. I have been in the shop on 4 separate occasions and each time I have left more disappointed than the last.

They severely lack customer service skills and couldn’t care less if the customer is in a bind. They certainly don’t have a problem turning a customer away nor do they show any empathy whatsoever.

I was turned away for the last time. I ended up at OK Tire on Northmount Dr. and they had me on my way in 10 minutes…free of charge! Customer service is not all lost I suppose. Guess where I’m going next time?

By the way, nice try on the on the reply and justification. What I came in for didn’t require a hoist. That’s why I was shocked once again that no one could help me. And yes, I certainly can appreciate the logistical issues which is why I tried to book an appointment, only to be told you would need my vehicle for 4 hours. 4 hours to mount a tire to a rim that was already off the vehicle and didn’t need to be put back on…I was going to do that part myself. When I explained that it was a work vehicle the reply I received was «yeah sorry». I even asked for the first appointment of the day, last appointment of the day so I didn’t have to lose a day of work. No dice. When I pushed back on the 4 hour window it went down to 3 hours with a take it or leave it attitude thrown in with it. There is absolutely no justification for that.

It’s funny that you talk about your google reviews. I mentioned my story to my neighbour and he shared his negative experience also. He brought his truck in with starting issues. You guys put Sea Foam or a similar additive, charged him $300 and sent him on his way. A week later he had to spend an additional $300 at the GMC dealership to have it fixed properly. It’s these kind of reviews that you should pay attention to. They speak volumes.

You’re located two blocks from my house, I wanted to use your services if anything because of the convenience. Unfortunately, I most definitely will not be back. I’m glad that other customers had pleasant experiences with your services and I wish you continued success. My 4 separate experiences were deeply disappointing and that’s what I have to go by. I’ll bring my vehicles to the place that bent over backwards to accommodate me rather than repeatedly turn me away.

Did my oil change here. I found my drain bolt was somewhat loose. And oil cap was not installed back on. I found it wedged between steering column joints below.

Generally pretty honest place I’ve always gone to, so not giving it 1 star. Maybe they got a new kid to do the simple oil change?

Found these guys when driving by suddenly with a flat tire.

Had the pleasure of dealing with Asad at A & J Auto. Found the price quoted very reasonable and much much cheaper than dealership (change front left and right control arms). You can tell how many people have experienced great service from the amount of people coming in and out to get work done by Asad and his team. I found the service to be so good that I took my other car to also get work done (water pump changed). I will continue to use A & J for any future work that may be required on either of my cars

Took my car in for a blower motor replacement as the fan was not working ,Even tho i took in without any appointment they still fixed it the same day within an hour,Asad was very helpful and honest about the other car issues I had .

Just got a pre purchase inspection done by Asad. Charged a very fair price and walked me through what he saw. I would have no trouble going back here for another inspection, or getting some work done.

Very Professional, Knowledgeable, Great MECHANICS and very affordable prices for any type of vehicle. They don’t fix anything that doesn’t need repairs either.

Called them when my car broke down. They told me they were very busy but would get to looking at my car as soon as they could. They called me on the second day after I had it towed to their shop and confirmed it was my starter. Said they could fix it Monday (this was on Thursday). Early Monday they called and said it was done and the price was what had been quoted. Harold and Kevin provided clear communication and were very professional. I have been looking for a reliable

Quick and efficient! Finding a good mechanic nowadays is hard. I called in at noon and they had my vehicle diagnosed within a couple hours and then was fixed in a day. Reasonable prices too. Would definitely recommend.

Once again Glen Meadows has done an excellent job of servicing our 2003 Lancer. Two years ago they did an extensive «renovation» of the car, and it was like driving a new vehicle. The latest service was to replace the ignition cylinder and switch. The work took less than three hours and the price was very reasonable. Also, Kevin went beyond all expectations to provide transportation home when my ride didn’t show up. Highly recommended!

Always a pleasure to deal with. I was also given a significant discount on my invoice as further problems came to light after I had okayed other work on my vehicle. Rather than call me with more bad news, Glen Meadows did the work at no charge to me. Wonderful service and wonderful people.

This is my go-to mechanic! The team here is very friendly and always takes the extra step to provide great customer service. I have two JDM vehicles, and they are always knowledgeable and able to source parts for them. This last visit, I brought my Subaru Forester in for some maintenance, and they completed the work faster and under the cost they had originally quoted me. I highly recommend this shop!
