I had such a fantastic experience at this salon – everyone was wonderful from who I spoke to on the phone to book, the lovely woman who gave me the tour, and a huge shout-out to my stylist, Mackenzie! The vibes are great, the salon is so modern but very relaxed, and it was very clean.

Mackenzie took the time to go through my hair history with me, really get to know what I was looking for, and threw in some suggestions for me to see what I thought. When I had questions about other services, Mackenzie did a great job explaining them to me and was honest about if she thought it would work for me or not; she was so friendly & easy to talk to during my appointment, and such a wealth of knowledge.

She spent the best efficient time for me and made my hair to cool ash brown color, which I exactly explained. I literally didn’t expect this perfect result as I knew my hair was mess.

I booked a Brazilian and armpit sugaring appointment a couple of weeks ago. While I have a high pain tolerance (multiple tattoos and piercings), the pain from this service was far beyond anything I’ve experienced before—and lasted nearly six days after.

After speaking with friends and comparing experiences, I realized several standard care steps were missing from my appointment. Notably, there was no cleansing or disinfecting of the areas beforehand, and no powder was used at any point. I’ve since learned that powder is essential in sugaring, as it helps absorb moisture, allows the sugar paste to grip hair rather than skin, and minimizes irritation.

Additionally, the room was extremely small and hot, which likely contributed to the discomfort. For comparison, I had my armpits sugared again at a different salon two weeks later, and the experience was virtually painless, with clear hygiene protocols and proper technique.

I was also left frustrated as there was quite a bit of hair left after the treatment. I wasn’t expecting perfection for my first appointment as I’m aware it requires multiple visits. However, it looked absolutely awful. The other salon removed all hair and even used tweezers for the ones missed at the end.

I’m not a professional, but I know the difference between a painful and a proper service. If this review helps even one person avoid the discomfort I experienced, then it was worth writing this review.

What a beautiful spa! Both Rupy and Tanu were amazing, and friendly, and very welcoming. They also have an abundance of services for great prices! After my facial with Rupy, the team was able to fit me in with Tanu for an unplanned haircut. She did an incredible job, but more so, was just a delight to sit and chat with. I’ll definitely be back!

This was my first visit here, and I came in for a root touch up and toner. Kamal did a fantastic job, she was very attentive and the result was exactly what I was hoping for. The salon is bright with natural light so it’s easy to see what your color actually looks like. Lovely experience, definitely recommend.

This was probably the worst experience I’ve had with a hair cut. I would not recommend Elena. She was nice and the conversation was nice but when I showed up early for my appointment, Elena was 10 minutes late. When she started cutting my hair, she immediately cut my right ear and it started bleeding. I didn’t find out about it until after I left already feeling like the hair cut was rushed and very low quality. After looking at it at home, I can confirm it was not cut very well at all.

Update – They contacted me to fix the haircut so I appreciate that. Harry cut it this time. He was careful, detailed, and provided good insight on how to style my hair as well. I’ll leave it at a 4/5 stars. Thank you I’MK.

Owner Min Soo reached out and was able to schedule me in with master stylist Harry for the correction within two days of my initial review.
Harry was incredibly meticulous, thorough, and patient in listening to my concerns with the first haircut. He masterfully corrected the blocky, unblended layers so it transitioned smoothly with the length that was salvageable. You can see a palpable difference in blending and movement in my hair in photo 5 of Harry’s work.

I greatly appreciated the IMK team in turning around a negative initial experience around quickly.

I got a hair cut with Yeji on on Sat, Mar 22. She only showed me the hair cut after she had heat styled it – and it looked ok, though much shorter than I expected. (Note: I said 3-5″ maximum to be taken off for layers. She ended up taking up to 10 inches off and did not confirm with me that this amount of length was okay, after she took off the initial 3″ which I did agree with – which is extremely misleading! See photos below vs. the hair I came in with).

It’s been about 3 weeks since I got this hair cut, and I’ve been sitting on whether to write this review as I hate to write negative reviews, especially one where someone’s work is scrutinized like this.

I thought my hair would look better as I gave it a bit more time, but honestly it looks terrible and this haircut is so embarrassing as an adult woman – my hair is SO choppy and uneven; the ends are so blunt, blocky and unblended. Layers shouldn’t look like this at all – even when unstyled. My right side is much worse (shown in first two photos) than the left (which is probably considered acceptable, but not perfect, given how unblended the shorter layers are with the longest piece… but you be the judge as you read my review).

I’ve attached a picture of my natural, air dried, unstyled, brushed hair from an hour before I got my hair cut (fourth picture) – so you can imagine how incredibly disappointed I am with my hair in this state now (pictures 1-3).

I’m not sure what my next steps are – do I get a refund so I can go to another stylist to fix this all this choppiness? Not sure if the salon will make this right for me.

I understand hair looks best when styled, but am I wrong to think that these super choppy blocks of layers don’t look right?
In retrospect, Yeji only showed me my hair after it was curled because the curls disguised all of her mistakes and poor skill.

After hearing great feedback from friends, I knew that I had to check out this korean salon in Calgary. Soyoon did a fantastic job with my hair! She did a great job finding the perfect hair color for my skintone and even gave me some color analysis advice! I showed her the haircut I wanted, and she was able to get as close to the picture despite my hair needing to be a certain length in order to achieve the same look. And the best part, the price was a lot cheaper than other salons I’ve been to before! The pricing does depend on the starting length, so please keep that in mind. I will definitely be returning to Soyoon for my next hair appointment! Thank you so much!

Ethan Lim was an amazing stylist. He did a treatment for my damaged hair and he gave me the most soothing scalp massage. He also taught me a lot about hair care and how to revive the broken ends. On top of this he gave me the best hair cut I have ever had. He gave me layers, but ones that blend together so beautifully and naturally. He made my hair feel lighter but somehow look thicker and more voluminous. It never tangles anymore, before I could never run my hands through my hair and now I can even after being out all day. I would 100% recommend him and will be going back again when I need my next cut.

I totally understand why she was asking, since they were almost closing, but he kept telling her to wait. I really appreciate that, especially from someone who only goes to a salon once a year for a cut.

One to remove my hair color . ( I colored my hair at home myself using box color) . Then a follow up appointment to complete new highlights and color. My goal was to allow my grey ‘s to compliment my hair rather than fight against it and have to touch up roots . I am so pleased with the color. My roots are blended. I purchased 100% human hair from Radiance salon. One bundle of wavy hair and the other was a closure. My first time purchasing human hair was very Intimidating I wanted to make sure I wasn’t wasting my money. I was a happy customer when I left their shop until my hairstylist started to weave the hair in. The hair I spent so much money on felt unnatural, hard to separate and tangled easily. The closure wasn’t the same texture as the bundle. We stayed positive and kept going until my whole head was weaved. When my weave was done I felt like I didn’t get the glamorous sexy hair I wanted. After three days of wearing the hair I decided to take it out, very unhappy. I called the owner Lola who sold me the hair. I stated to her my issues and challenges that I had with the hair. We met at her shop, came up with a resolution between us and I received half of my money back. People before you make such a decision, spend all that money, research the hair and company where it was made from. Bring someone who specializes in human hair and what hair services the stylist is trying to sell you, it may save you hundreds of dollars.

I’ve been coming to this salon to get hair extensions with Hannah and have had an amazing experience every time! She cut and did highlights and they are still beautiful 5 months later! Appointments are easy to book online, the salon is in a good area and I’ve never had a problem finding parking. I love the calm fun atmosphere of the place and everyone is super friendly and helpful. LOVE LOVE LOVE and highly recommend.

I had such a fantastic experience at Radiance beauty! The staff were incredibly nice, relatable, and understanding, which made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire process. The atmosphere was also warm and welcoming.

Highly recommend Sam at Hair Power, he has been cutting my husband hair since he was 15 and we booked for highlights and trim for myself. He did an amazing job, color was perfect and my hair felt amazing after. I left there with exactly what I wanted. He also has such a great personality and super accommodating! The atmosphere is very welcoming and all stylists in the salon are very friendly. Beyond happy with my hair is so greatful for the service.

My appointment at another salon was cancelled last minute, so I called Hair Power and Sam was able to squeeze me in same-day, which I really appreciated.

He stayed late to finish the highlights and cut, and I’m super happy with how everything turned out. The colour is exactly what I wanted, and the cut feels fresh without being too drastic. Definitely glad I found this place!

Highly recommend SAM at hairpower, I’ve been going to him for 14 years now and moved away from Calgary but waited to get my hair done from him after 8 months! This guy is AMAZING and highly recommend him, his blowdrys and curls he does are long lasting and his cuts and highlights are definitely worth the wait, he is affordable and stays late or comes in early to make sure you’re taken care of.

I started going to Sam a few months ago, he gave me bangs and has been styling + trimming my hair for me since! He makes my hair look amazing every time! Very affordable and efficient. He just did these highlights which look amazing, added dimension to my hair love it!

Hairdresser-Sam does exactly what you want. I got a peekaboo dye and it turned out exactly like it did in the pictures for reference. Service was the best and I would recommend to customers finding a good hairdresser.
