I have been using this company to do my taxes for the past 8 years, with time they have expanded their operations but the customer service has vanished. In the previous years, it used be that, they will miss your call but follow up with an email or text, in the next few days but this they have surpassed all expectations of mine. I submitted the Tax Documents for my wife & I, on March 7th via email. I was told at the time that I would be contacted by either Hasib or another associate, in the next 1 – 2 weeks. I patiently waited during this time & had a few questions so I called the office line at least 7 times, my phone was not answered even once & i didn’t receive a callback as well. I also emailed the general shared email a couple of times but got a response after 7 days (lucky me I guess!) & received a response after happen to be in the area & came into the the office on Sunday, March 23rd. I told the receptionist how my 7 calls at different times of the day, had gone unanswered in the last 16 days. She did not seem to care about it & she told me that it was tax season & they do not have the time to answer phone calls. This was shocking to hear & comprehend to. I then, told her that I have sent the Tax Documents for my wife & I back on March 7th but have not heard back from Hasib or another associate. She made me wait 35 minutes for nothing pathetic reason, after which Hasib called me in his office to say that because I’m having T4 + T4A + T2125, my taxes are not due until June 15th. I agreed with him but told him clearly that I need to file taxes ASAP, due to a family situation back home. He then told me someone other than him will reach out to me in the coming week for sure. I appreciated Hasib’s gesture. But who knew that Hasib also bluff me. I did not get any email or a call from anybody until March 29th, at which point I sent another email outlining how long it’s been since I submitted my documents & if I don’t receive my family tax return for 2024 until March 30th, I would not be doing my taxes with MHU Financial Services. Another 11 days pass-by, i called the office line another 5 times but no answer as expected. I also called Hasib’s phone
2 – 3 times but no answer, of course! Today, on April 8th I went into the office again & after waiting 20 minutes to speak to Hasib, tge receptionist told me the good news of «we are trying to find your file». This was the fonal nail in the cofin. I would probably forget all this if they attempted to apologize even once for all the missed calls + broken promises. The email that Hasib sent out in February to inform about the tax changes / updates, had a turn around time of 7 days (even for self-employed taxes). He cannot even keep his own word. I had to come 2 times from Airdrie to NE Calgary on my days off, just to inquire about my file because his staff doesn’t loke answering phone calls apparently. This is the worst & the most unprofessional customer service that I have received from any business in Canada & I have been here since 2010. I wish I could even take away the 1 star that I’m giving to them.

We had a really disappointing experience with MHU this year. Last year, we had a good experience, which is why we decided to return. Even though we live in High River and had tax filing offices available there, we specifically traveled to Calgary to file with MHU because of our previous positive experience. Unfortunately, this time, Haseeb Ullah handled our tax filing, and it was a completely different experience.

He seemed to be in a hurry, didn’t ask us about any expenses we could claim, and simply input the numbers from our T4s without any effort to maximize our return. We were driving for Uber and had multiple expenses like maintenance and repairs, but he never asked about them. We also moved three times last year, and we weren’t informed that we could claim moving expenses. Only after filing our taxes did we realize this, and when we reached out to ask about it, they wanted to charge an extra $21 just to add the moving expenses.

Their communication is also terrible. They never answered our calls and took a whole week to respond to our emails. We initially paid $100 for the service, which felt overpriced for the lack of assistance we received.

It’s really disappointing to see how MHU handled our taxes this year. We won’t be returning or recommending them to anyone

Supremely terrible service, and on top of that, pathetic behaviour by the staff—which is completely unacceptable. I filed my taxes through them, and it came back for reevaluation. I went to them, and they asked me to send a file over email. I sent the file five days ago and am still waiting for an acknowledgment. I called—no one answered. I texted—no response. I even went there for a follow-up, only to be told that they are busy. If they can’t properly handle their clients during the busy season, they should either take fewer clients or hire temporary staff. I’m extremely disappointed with both their
service and the staff’s behaviour. I will not recommend them to anyone.

We have had many accountants over the years but we do not need to look for once again as these guys are the best especially Hassib who did our tax return. Amazing service and the best accountant!

I was Quadrant client for several years, trusted them with 2 companies and private taxes. I requested a call with their CPA Mike what I believed that it will be a quick 15min call. As a long term client paying all invoices on time, you would believe you can speak with your CPA once every few years. I never believed that a conversation and few emails would end up in $1500+ invoice. This was VERY surprising and simple unbelievable. I know that everyone’s time is valuable and they will probably respond in that manner. However, you explain your charges UPFRONT, after maybe 10-15 min of free consultations. You listen your clients, provide estimate and then proceed with services AFTER client’s approval. Never had anything similar doing business in the USA or Canada for 15 years now.

Quadrant, please STOP sending me emails with invoices as I will report you for harassment.

I hired Quadrant to handle my CRA Clearance Certificate after selling my home as not resident. Due to their errors, CRA tried to contact them over the phone but Quadrant missed the call, the message left in the answering machine and never followed up. When I asked for updates, they told me to «be patient». I later found out about the call and about all their errors on my application calling CRA myself and had to refile myself the application after months of delay. Quadrant tried to take credit for the outcome, even though they botched the original submission.

Their mistakes caused me 7+ months of mortgage payments, poor exchange rate losses, and I still had to pay their fee. Their layer later even denied my payment for the service —despite proof on my credit card statements. Extremely unprofessional and irresponsible. Would not recommend

My experience with Mike was costly and 2 out of 3 requirements were not met, creating additional interest costs and late filing. Seems they want to get the most fees they can doing long methods rather than leaning newer procedures even with the Royal Bank Administration assistance and my personal form request. The reason given to me by Mike for one of these was I was late with the information required, email proved that I was asked for this information late and I had supplied the requested info that same day in person! Poor customer service and poor results equals bad review, stay away or take some time to do it yourself…
