My Optometrist Calgary: Health First Optometry

I’ve been going to Health Plus Optometry for many years. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Janice has been my go to person for decades to help select the perfect style of frames for me. She’s professional and so friendly. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Superb service and people skills!!! The staff at this clinic went above and beyond for me, as a first-time patient. My visit started with pleasant, upbeat ladies at reception, then progressed to Sidney’s clear and concise eye testing. Dr. Wiseman is a top-knotch optometrist; he spent quality time with me to ensure my new prescriptions were accurate. Next, I met with Stephanie who was so patient and helpful in supporting me in selecting my frames. Thank you all so much! I highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Wiseman!

Dr Wilcox is a fantastic Optometrist! Very thorough testing and diagnosis. Khloe is also exceptional! She was so knowledgeable and unbelievably patient during the process of picking frames for me(first time glasses after 33 years). Reasonable pricing(get what you pay for) and great with insurance!

We had the worst experience with the doctor Bernadette Osiowy my daughter had her new patient exam and the assistant asked questions prior going to the exam room and that’s ok as i know thats what they do, when we entered the room with the doctor of course she asked questions too and i answered she asked me again when is the last exam and i said last 6 months ago and i asked nicely, do the other clinic send these information and she yelled and said WHY WOULD THEY SEND THOSE, WE ARE INDEPENDENT blah blah blah and i was shocked because i just asked i don’t know why she overreacted like that Im not sure if she’s having a bad day or maybe because I’m asian and she thinks she can just yell at me and disrespect me that way, i have worked with many doctors and dentist as i am a graduate of nursing and i work in dental right now but this is the first time and i think the only time i had experience a doctor acting that way and i just asked one question nicely, and my daughter is in the room shocked, and this doctor then asked so whats your plan are you going to keep me as her doctor and i told her honestly i just want this appointment over and done with and she then pouted and said but i corrected myself i bent over backwards (by what by doing your job by doing what you’re supposed to do?! you didn’t even say sorry,) and i don’t know how she thinks she corrected herself and saying she bent over backwards, its such a traumatic horrible, horrible experience specially for my daughter as after the appointment my daughter asked me why did she got so mad mom? You just asked one question, i just told her maybe she’s having a bad day but that doesn’t mean that if you are having a bad day you can treat others poorly.

I recently had my first session with Dr Ryan Kloepfer. After a frustrating session with another practitioner a month earlier this year, this appointment was like a breath of fresh air. Dr Kloepfer was clearly experienced and took his time explaining what he was seeing. I left with a sense of relief that I was in good hands and look forward to my new hard contact lenses.

Excellent service and eye exams are great. Very detailed and the doctor was so nice and took so much time with me. I was really impressed.

Was my first time here for my daughter’s emergency appointment and yet they were very pleased and cooperative to see us..Read through the reports of my daughter’s eye exam and diagnosed accordingly..Very supportive and helpful especially dr Wise..extremely recommending
