Customer Reviews
Dr. Russell and the clinic staff were wonderful with my kids. I was very impressed by their professionalism, care, and attention to detail. They were always welcoming and open to questions, while remaining efficient and thorough. Dr. Russell did an excellent job explaining the reasoning behind each treatment and made sure we understood the next steps. It was clear to me that he was knowledgeable and highly proficient. I trusted his opinion and would gladly recommend the clinic to others.
Manju Chandra-Garg (☆ 5/5)

Recently had a surgery on my big toe, the procedure was painless and quick. The recovery was exceptional as well. Currently have no scar tissue and looks better than it did before. Thank you so much doctor Russel. Doctor Russel is personable and explains what he’s doing. Would recommend to anyone.
matt schloser (☆ 5/5)

Exceptional experience with Dr. Russell and his staff. I came in with ingrown toenails and was treated that day. The staff ensured I was well informed on the cost of the surgery, along with what the procedure entailed. Dr. Russell expertly performed the surgery, and his easy disposition throughout the procedure was calming. I was provided a plan to follow at home and a follow-up was scheduled for two weeks later. My toes healed so well that there is no evidence I had the procedure. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Russell and his staff.
Nicole W (☆ 5/5)

I’ve been to Dr. Russell twice in the last decade and he’s amazing!!! His work speaks for itself, the pain relief after my procedures has been amazing and he’s so personable/reassuring. The other staff assisting him are competent, compassionate, and friendly. Will absolutely recommend to everyone.
Alyssa Handley (☆ 5/5)

I highly recommend Dr. Russell and his staff. I was very impressed by all the staff. I had been seeing a different podiatrist for 1.5 years , trying to fix a problem. Every solution made the issue bigger and more painful. Was recommended for surgery and thought I should get a second opinion. So glad I did. Surgery was avoided!
Carrie Ann Urzada (☆ 5/5)

fantastic service, I got toe surgery from Dr Russell it was quick and relatively painless as well as him offering a 2 year guarantee in case something happens and I need to get the surgery again. The staff were also very kind, helpful and easy to get into contact with and ask questions to. Overall it was a quick and simple experience that has helped me with walking and my athletics. I would and will come back for any and all foot problems I have in my life.
eta fita (☆ 5/5)

My whole experience at the clinic was amazing! There was no wait time and Dr. Russell was very efficient with the whole procedure. The receptionists and assistants were equally kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend the Dalhousie Station Foot Clinic!

I saw Dr. Irvine to get a ingrown toe nail removed. The procedure was fast and painless. Dr. Irvine is such a caring Doctor. He is very informative and takes time to answer any questions you have. He is the only Doctor that I know that gives his personal cell phone number incase of emergencies Not only is he a fantastic and caring DR., he also has a sense of humor and very personable I would recommend him in a heart beat.
Kelly p (☆ 5/5)

Highly recommend Axis Foot & Ankle Clinic!
I had a partial nail avulsion procedure with phenol, and I’m very happy with the care and respect I received from Dr. Irvine and his team.
Booking:
The process was super easy. I submitted my information through their website, and the next morning, I received a call (from Deceri, I believe) to schedule my appointment. She was friendly, polite, and answered all my questions. She also informed me of the cost of the visit and procedure upfront, which I really appreciated—it was great to know exactly what to expect. She also let me know that I’d need to submit the receipts to my insurance.
Appointment:
Dr. Irvine took the time to explain every detail of the procedure. He educated me on how ingrown nails develop, what the procedure involves, the benefits and risks, and how to care for my toe afterward. He even gave me his personal cellphone number and told me to contact him directly if I had any issues—not the clinic.
After the procedure, Emma walked me through the post-surgery care instructions and explained what I needed to send to my insurance.
Post-surgery:
A couple of days later, my toe became infected. I reached out to Dr. Irvine over the weekend. He called me back (I missed the call), but he also left a voicemail, sent a text, and emailed me a prescription. I was able to send him photos of my toe while I was on antibiotics, and he followed up with me.
I’ll definitely return to Dr. Irvine for the same procedure on my other big toe. If I ever need a podiatrist again, I won’t hesitate to go back.
Thank you, Dr. Irvine and team!
Thalita Amado (☆ 5/5)

Axis Foot & Ankle Clinic and Dr. Irvine were great. Was having some pretty bad neuroma symptoms in my toes from wearing tight skates/boots. Got diagnosed and a treatment plan in place. Dr Irvine was great and explaining the cause and how to treat it. Symptoms are slowly improving and not affecting my day to day anymore.
Dealing with the clinic itself was great. Communication was always reliable and easy.
Darren Uong (☆ 5/5)

Dr. Irvine is excellent at delivering the precise treatment required for my left foot. He addresses my issues in clear detail, enhancing my understanding of my foot injuries and providing all the necessary treatment advice and solutions. I truly appreciate his care and concern for his patients.
His staff are excellent at keeping me informed about follow-ups and check-up schedules, offering options that accommodate my availability.
Highly recommended!.
Rarr Psst MPG (☆ 5/5)

The staff at the front desk are great, and Dr. Irvine is very knowledgeable, friendly, and positive. I went to the clinic because I was dealing with foot/achilles pain, and the overall experience getting setup with orthotics and other treatments was excellent. I highly recommend this clinic.
Jesse Baty (☆ 5/5)

Our family has been seeing Dr. Andy since the kids were young. He is caring and thorough. His recent assessment and treatment of my foot has resulted in me being able to walk again without pain.
Glenda Shufelt (☆ 5/5)

Dr. Andrew Irvine and his entire staff were so professional and friendly. I loved the way they explained everything and made sure I was understanding. My feet had been a problem for so long that I thought it was normal until a friend recommended Dr Irvine. I took everything he told me and ran with it and almost instantly I had some relief. My plantar fasciitis is no longer is a problem. I no longer live with foot pain thanks to my orthotics(which I wear daily in my slippers at home) and following his recommendations.
Thank you Dr Irvine

Dr. Drew has been an absolutely amazing doctor from start to finish. The entire staff provided exceptional service, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. My surgery was a breeze, and the aftercare was even better — I truly felt supported every step of the way. I was especially concerned about developing a keloid, but I’m thrilled to say there’s no scar at all! Plus, I have full feeling in my toe again. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Highly recommend!

Excellent results for my 90 year old Mom who had a Chieilectomy ( removed the bunion part).
Dr. Drew and his staff were so friendly and helpful before, during and after the procedure.

Great service – would recommend in a heartbeat. Dr. Drew and his staff were knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. After the initial consult, they were able to come up with a treatment plan for my foot issue and got me in relatively quickly to get it treated. The office in Sunpark is easy to get to, and the cold laser treatment is super easy. Following my last treatment, Dr. Drew and staff worked with me to discuss what steps can be taken to prevent the issue from coming back. Super appreciate the staff and their attention to detail.

Customer Reviews
I was referred to this clinic to assess and receive advice about a bunion that was becoming very uncomfortable. Dr. Feldman was very personable and provided me with excellent information about how he could provide improvement via surgery.
After surgery the follow up visits were again very helpful and reassuring. The whole team was friendly and helpful with good guidance. In the end the outcome is excellent. From beginning to end I constantly felt I was treated with respect and professionalism. I highly recommend the entire team to provide outstanding care.
Ken Cox (☆ 5/5)

I visited Dr. Feldman recently for a foot issue and was impressed by his clear expertise. He quickly identified the problem and offered practical solutions, including a recommended product available in-office. I appreciated his efficiency, and the nurse on staff was especially kind and supportive.
That said, the appointment felt somewhat rushed, and I would have preferred a more professional tone during parts of our conversation. Comments about my sandals being «cheap» and joking about the size of my feet, while perhaps intended lightly, could have been communicated with more sensitivity.
Overall, I respect Dr. Feldman’s knowledge and look forward to continued care, with a bit more attention to the patient experience and communication style in future visits.
Moraima Caceres-Centeno (☆ 4/5)

I recently had a very wonderful experience with Dr. Feldman as my surgeon. The staff is kind and attentive, I felt very heard and cared for. The procedure went well, my follow up care has been exceptional, and I am recovering well and excited for the final results.
Lux Lisbon (☆ 5/5)

Very Professional Staff and a Superb Doctor! Well organized, frank conversation, multiple options explained carefully to us! Dr. Feldman personally brought her in a wheelchair to the car at her discharge, after the two hour operation at the Holy Cross Hospital! Each Checkup Appointment was handled professionally with X-Rays, cleaning, bandaging and further verbal training as required! I would recommend Dr Feldman, his Doctor Partner and Staff to anyone requiring these kind of medical services!
Bill Cottrell (☆ 5/5)

Dr. Feldman is a great guy and surgeon. He is very easy to talk to and doesn’t make you feel rushed, even though I know he is so busy. His staff are also wonderful, explaining everything in detail and are very courteous and kind on the phone. I would also highly recommend him for foot surgery. Norma Jean Stock
Jerry Stock (☆ 5/5)

Dr. Feldman removed a ganglion cyst that was causing me discomfort. The instructions provided for pre surgery and post surgery were very thorough. Dr. Feldman was very personable and the staff were efficient and friendly. A second possible operation to eliminate the formation of a bunion on my foot was explained in detail by Dr. Feldman in a straightforward manner. I highly recommend Dr. Feldman and his team.

I am very happy with the service that dr. Andrew is providing. He is very knowlegabe and explains all the details patiently. The orthotics works great for me. I would definitely recommend him!
David Borys (☆ 5/5)

Dr. Irvine makes my foot feel like a foot again. I have been suffering for years and i would say Dr. Irvine played a huge part of my recovery.
Larry Macapagal (☆ 5/5)

People use the words «life changing» too easily but the treatment I received here really did that. Andy & his staff are very passionate about what they do, it was an end-to-end amazing experience. After my orthotics were quickly shipped from their design lab in Vancouver, and wore them for a few weeks alongside the prescribed stretches, I could actually go for long walks & jogs, this was really meaningful in terms of my cardio and also mobility. But a small detail to appreciate, when I received the receipt to bill to my insurance, his assistant taped the receipt perfectly to the larger document in a spot where it would be easy to scan for the insurance company. She did not have to do that but it’s little things like that you also have to appreciate. Thanks so much for all your help! Highly recommend this clinic.
Hani Hasan (☆ 5/5)

This clinic is in a great location and easily accessible. The staff (Joy) is very helpful and nice. Doctor Irvine was a pleasure to talk to, I didn’t feel rushed. He is very patient and listen to my concerns. I would highly recommend the location and Doctor Irvine.
Michelle Rubio (☆ 5/5)

My dad was referred to Dr. Irvine and what a great experience! He is very knowledgeable, passionate and honest. My dad’s foot was treated with care and compassion. The best part of this whole experience was Dr. Irvine’s honesty. He didn’t try to sell my dad any orthotics he did not need which is what we were told might happen. He recommended some great new shoes and sent us on our way. Highly recommended!

All in all, this clinic and Dr. Irvine are absolutely recommended! My right foot got a long-term pain due to a strain. I was like why it wouldn’t heal itself, I was 34 btw. Dr. Irvine just used a couple of minutes to figure out my both feet arches are some degree flat. After three months correction by wearing indoor shoes with the corrected shoes pad in it, all pains have gone away! What is even more remarkable is that my long-term knee problem has been resolved too! I couldn’t do weighted squats for many years, but now I can finish all kinds of squats training with any bothers! I really appreciate Dr. Irvine’s professionalism! Thank you again!
Nathan Yan (☆ 5/5)

Dr. Irvine is the best! I had pain/discomfort in my left foot for months, making it incredibly hard to walk long distances (and I’m an avid hiker!) before going to his office. My initial appointment was booked quickly and Dr.Irvine explained my issues in detail. Even though I don’t understand medical jargon, he still made sure I knew what the issues were and showed me what was happening while I walk on the anatomical foot model. He ordered my personalized orthotics, prescribed me a therapy plan and scheduled a follow up all on the same day as my initial app. Now, after receiving my orthotics, my pain and discomfort is significantly reduced and I’m on the right track! Dr.Irvine is honest, knowledgable and great at communicating what you need and why. Not to mention, even though they don’t direct bill, they make the paperwork super easy to claim with your insurance provider!! Couldn’t recommend this office more!
Lynsey Kipp (☆ 5/5)

Dr. Andy is so good that I secretly don’t want to share him with the rest of the City. My journey didn’t start with him. I actually went to another podiatrist in the NW with lots of reviews. Frankly, a great deal of damage was caused to me. I was able to book in with him and he spent so much time with me figuring out my foot. He spent almost 4x as much time with me as the other podiatrist. After that, he ordered some diagnostic tests that 4 other doctors didn’t think to order. ie bone scan with CT, xray and ultrasound. Low and behold, I have a broken foot. stress fracture to the Third base. Dr. Andy Helped my through my recovery and my employer. I work at AHS and they are rather demanding. Frankly I don’t know what I would do without him. You know how some docs you could outsource to chat GPT and others who can think critically. Ya, he is actually able to put things into context. He likely saved my foot from have even more damage done to it. He is also an all around good guy, who put up with me and my 1 million questions.

It started with my daughter visiting Dr. Irvine for a simple check-up due to pigeon-toeing. Now, the entire family are patients, and we love the care. Andy and his team are amazing, and I can’t recommend their services enough. I’m on the path to a pain-free life in my legs.
Paul Semeniuk (☆ 5/5)

Dr. Irvine and the staff are so friendly and helpful. My daughter had foot pain and with orthotics, she no longer has pain.
Kim (☆ 5/5)

I was experiencing pain in my right foot/toe perhaps a start of a bunion. I went to Dr. Irvine and he was very helpful in diagnosing and setting up a treatment. The Orthotics have been very helpful and I did get a pair for each of the different foot wear. I believe this was an extremely smart option as then my foot always has the right support. I personally love the support in my water shoes. I found this clinic to be very helpful, pleasant, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend.
Heather Anderson (☆ 5/5)

Dr. Irvine helped diagnose and determine a solution for an elongated arch in my left foot. I can tell when walking now that my foot is in a more optimal position and I have less pain. He listens well and factored my history into his treatment.

Was seen last spring and was advised needed surgery. Was advised would be approx. one year wait. Had to have some more tests and when they were completed was called by Dr. Allred and advised that yes I need surgery and he would put me on the list, clearly forgot he did this in the spring. Followed up last week and based on math from the scheduler for Taber I was 84 on a list and only 3 surgeries performed in a month. More like 3 year wait. When I called the clinic to follow up on this was advised I would get a call back as the Dr. was not him and the front desk showed compassion and understanding. Well today I was called by another clinic only to be told that Alpine forward my referral. Not once was I notified of this. Not professional at all. I had a bad taste in my mouth from the minute they told me that I could have surgery rather quickly if I was willing to pay! I have a fractured foot that has since caused my previous surgery hardware to come loose cause a great deal of pain. I would not recommend this clinic.
Thank you for your response from Alpine Foot and Ankle Clinic, I am still thinking that this was a huge waste of my time, if it took the clinic almost 9 months to come to realization that they did not have the equipment required to complete my surgery why lead me on for so long. That does not speak well for you if it took myself following up on what was happening for this to come to light.
Still stand behind my statement that yes if I was will to PAY for the surgery in the clinic this would been resolved by summer 2024, if that is the level of care you wish to provide then that it what you should be telling the patients before they even walk through your doors.

The staff at this clinic are rude, and the phone system does not work. They put me on hold, and kept saying ‘you have to listen for the clicks’ because they didn’t have on hold music. I kept going on hold, heard ‘all the clicks’ while I’m staring at my phone on the table, and then their call would disconnect. It happened 5 times in a row. When I called back, they repeatedly accused me of hanging up on myself? When I finally got through (call #6) they were combative, dismissive and unprofessional. I expressed my frustration about my time being wasted and a complete lack of professionalism, then was accused of being ‘abusive.’ They do not care about wasting people’s time or treating people with respect. Go elsewhere 🙂

Horrible experience.. would not recommend.. all they want to do is grab money and dont actually care if you are OK from a procedure … long story short I definitely was concerned I had an infection and she wouldn’t even make time to see me I was told go see your family doctor or urgent care.. otherwise shes a 2 week wait… . she did the procedure wrong and I couldn’t walk on my foot for over 2 weeks… won’t ever go back will be getting a referral elsewhere dont waste your time… she doesn’t even care enough to look decent for work.. looks lile she rolled out of bed.. and made me wait a half hour in the room.. so ya dont waste your time.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. James Allred during my first visit to the clinic. He was incredibly attentive, and took the time to thoroughly explain everything. Great service by the doctor and the receptionist!

I have dealt with foot issues for several years before coming to this clinic.
I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Zaidi and she was fantastic – she is extremely knowledgeable, patient, compassionate and very professional. She listened to all of my issues and provided a well thought out treatment.
I have been pain free and owe it to her.
She has also treated my children with the same excellent results.
I can’t say enough good things about her and recommend her to everyone.

Customer Reviews
Dr Jason Lehr is very professional and knowledgeable. He spent some time to explain how we can help to fix my problem with my nails on my 2 larger toes. The receptionist is very friendly. I would recommend people to go there if you have any problems with your feet.
yvonne burns (☆ 5/5)

What a waste of my time. The Dr saw me for maybe 5 minutes? He spoke so fast that I didn’t even process half of what he said until after he left the room. I came away with very little actual information about what’s going on with my foot, much more information about why I should shell out hundreds of dollars for orthotics, because he said so. The front desk staff had a personal conversation, looking at each other and laughing back and forth, while myself and others stood at the front to be acknowledged, which really didn’t help the overall experience.
Definitely getting a second opinion from someone who will spend more than a few minutes in the room.
Sarah Trerise (☆ 1/5)

The care, customer experience and treatments at The Foot Institute are excellent. Always greeted with friendliness, they call me by name, wait times are short if nothing at all. Feel taken care of and treated respectfully. My concerns are listened to and care plan revolves around discussion. Their therapies and products are effective and fairly priced. Front end staff extremely helpful with paperwork required for insurance submission. Highly recommended.
Georgette Luthi (☆ 5/5)

drove all they way there to get husbands orthidic on a Thursday at 2:30pm and it was closed
Teena Coles (☆ 3/5)

I found Dr. Jason Lehr Very knowledgeable, and professional. I went in with a painful callus which he was able to treat successfully, and he outlined some options for preventing its return.
His assistant Kristin was also Extremely knowledgable and caring. She spent time giving me more context for my problem.
I would be happy to recommend this clinic to anyone seeking help with their foot problems.
As a yoga teacher, I need to be able to walk comfortably in bare feet on a hard surface and feel much more confident here now.
My wait for treatment was quite brief and acceptable.
Robert Walker (☆ 5/5)

Would strongly recommend going elsewhere if you need orthotics. Spent $600 on orthotics at this location not only were they not helpful for my needs but I found out from another specialist that the ones I was given only cost $65 to make. They did not relieve the pressure on the part of my foot that needed offloading. I would recommend you rather try Rahman Orthotics in the north of Calgary. It’s a bit of a drive if you live in the south but totally worth it. Better orthotics for a fraction of the price.
Brian Shewchuk (☆ 1/5)

All the staff is so friendly. Very accommodating for appt times. I had the k-laser treatment on my feet and can now walk in the morning without hobbling! I can’t believe I am pain free some days for the first time in 2 years!

Visited Dr. Gurbir Mann (more like scam artists)
1- Talked me for 15 minutes and charged me $100.00 for the 1 hours consultation.
2- Was more concerned about my insurance limit then my foot pain and as soon as he found that I will pay and claim by my self he left the room.
3- Only offered me solution to buy the foot soles for $660.00 and when I asked other solutions the associate came in asking for $100.00 consultation fee..
If you read this avoid this fish oil salesman aka Dr. GURBIR MANN.
Affan Rizwan (☆ 1/5)

I had a very disappointing experience at Achille Foot Clinic. Not only was the clinic difficult to locate due to poor signage and misleading directions, but once I arrived, the service was equally frustrating. The consultation fee was $100 for a brief 15-minute appointment, which I found to be quite expensive for the limited time and attention provided. The receptionist staff were unprofessional and rude, creating an unwelcoming environment. To make matters worse, the doctor left without any explanation, and I was left waiting alone in the examination room for over 10 minutes. Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied with both the clinic’s communication and the quality of care. I would not recommend this clinic based on my experience.

Do NOT invest any money here… I spent 800+ $ to get permanent ingrown nails removal and they came back in less than 4 months; while also leaving my toe shape all messed up and crooked. The reception is also not pleasant whatsoever. They don’t have an appointment reminder system, or notify you or communicate back via email. Again, find a different podiatrist, waste of money.
M D (☆ 1/5)

The doctors are excellent, and I’ve heard great things about them. However, getting an appointment is nearly impossible. My main complaint is about the receptionist — they never answer the phone, are unfriendly, and do not return calls or respond to online appointment requests.
Luisa Cabrera (☆ 1/5)

Dr. Mann is excellent and awesome but trying to get an appointment is a nightmare as the staff will not answer the phone. They systematically let it go to voicemail even when you have declined that option. They’ll just transfer you automatically after a long, futile, frustrating wait during business hours. Also, they may or may not call you back, so don’t hold your breath. I have personally been there several times and the phone does not ring off the hook so it’s clearly their choice to let it go to voicemail in many cases. For example, last time I called someone answered and put me on hold for 19 minutes, after which I was automatically transferred to voicemail. Not cool.

I went there because i had an ingrown toe nail and it was getting really bad and was hurting me a lot. I did not have to wait long and was able to book an appointment through call for the following day.The staff there took really good care of me and especially Dr Rory who performed the surgery for me. Throughout the surgery he reassured me that it was going to be painless and was fast which helped me to calm myself down. It indeed was quick and painless. I highly recommend going to this clinic as the staff there are really nice and things get done really quickly. I will be going back there again if I have anymore injuries/problems in the future!
Sujan Sunuwar (☆ 5/5)

I never thought I would be bringing a teen to a foot clinic but after 18 months of hell with my son’s feet we were off to Achilles foot clinic this week. I was absolutely blown away by the customer service. My son was nervous and the doctor took immense care to calm him down. They took breaks. Easily put in the freezing with no pain. This was night and day to any other medical experience we have had. Highly recommend this clinic for being on time, affordable, clean, filled with loving smiling faces and ready to cater to all sorts of needs. 100% recommend. Will not go anywhere else in the future but Achilles’ Foot Clinic.

Frequently Asked Questions about Podiatrists in Calgary
What exactly does a podiatrist do?
A podiatrist is a doctor who specializes in the care of the foot and ankle. They diagnose and treat conditions affecting these areas, including bunions, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, diabetic foot problems, and sports injuries. Their expertise encompasses both medical and surgical treatments.
Are podiatrists medical doctors?
Yes, podiatrists are licensed medical professionals. They complete a four-year doctoral program, including extensive coursework and clinical rotations. Following graduation, they must pass rigorous national and provincial examinations to obtain their license to practice. They are qualified to prescribe medication and perform surgical procedures.
When should I see a podiatrist?
You should consider seeing a podiatrist if you experience persistent foot or ankle pain, notice any unusual changes to your feet (such as swelling, discoloration, or sores), have difficulty walking, or have been diagnosed with a condition like diabetes or arthritis that can affect your feet. Early intervention is often crucial for optimal outcomes.
Do I need a referral to see a podiatrist in Calgary?
Whether you need a referral to see a podiatrist depends on your insurance plan. Some insurance companies require a referral from a general practitioner, while others do not. It's best to check with your insurance provider to confirm their specific requirements before scheduling an appointment.
What types of conditions do podiatrists treat in Calgary?
Podiatrists in Calgary treat a wide range of conditions, including flatfoot, heel spurs, claw toes, athlete's foot, skin infections, neuromas, and injuries related to sports. They also provide specialized care for patients with diabetes and other medical conditions affecting foot health.
What is the difference between a podiatrist and an orthopaedic surgeon?
While both podiatrists and orthopaedic surgeons deal with musculoskeletal conditions, podiatrists focus exclusively on the foot and ankle. Orthopaedic surgeons have a broader scope of practice, treating conditions affecting the entire skeletal system. For problems specific to the feet, a podiatrist is usually the appropriate choice.
What can I expect during my first visit to a podiatrist?
During your first visit, the podiatrist will take a detailed medical history, perform a thorough physical examination of your feet and ankles, and may order diagnostic tests such as X-rays or nerve conduction studies. They will then discuss a diagnosis and recommend a treatment plan.
Do podiatrists perform surgery?
Yes, podiatrists are trained to perform a variety of surgical procedures on the foot and ankle, including bunion correction, hammertoe repair, fracture fixation, and nerve decompression. However, many cases can be treated with non-surgical methods like orthotics, medication, or physical therapy.
What are orthotics and how can they help?
Orthotics are custom-made or over-the-counter devices that are inserted into shoes to support the foot and correct biomechanical problems. A podiatrist may prescribe orthotics to alleviate pain, improve alignment, and prevent further complications related to conditions like flatfoot, plantar fasciitis, or heel spurs.
How do I find a qualified podiatrist in Calgary?
You can find a qualified podiatrist in Calgary by searching online directories, asking for referrals from your general practitioner or friends, or checking with professional organizations related to podiatric medicine. It's important to verify that the podiatrist is licensed and has experience treating your specific condition.
