I went to Joelle for the semi-permanent eyeliner, and am now 2 weeks after my first session. My eyes look amazing – my mom is so jealous that she made her own appointment right away. It is a tattoo, so a bit painful during the process and healing, but Joelle is very careful and uses numbing cream to make everything as comfortable as possible. Joelle is an artist and is very good at assessing your needs and what would work best with your face. She is also very competent and safe (it’s my first permanent makeup but not my first tattoo) and it was great to see her treat me with such care – it is my face after all. Combine all of that with great music and conversation, and getting my eye lids tattooed was practically fun:) Thanks so much, Joelle!

I reached out to Rola excited to book her as my mua for my engagement party. She never told me about the bridal packages available, and she booked me in and told me the rates and I went ahead to book her. This process was all through text and highly unprofessional.
On the day of, when I entered she didn’t speak to me once and continued to gossip with her staff for the entire time I was getting my hair and makeup done. My sister and I were together, and we were extremely shocked by the unprofessionalism. When it came time to pay, I needed help with my dupatta and she rudely spoke to me and told me that I should have booked her bridal package, something I wasn’t aware of, nor did she mention. I would have been more than happy to book the bridal package if I was ever informed of it?
Not to mention, it was my big day, and she made it all about herself and the gossip with her office staff. She then charged me extra, and treated me and my sister very poorly. Looking back, the hair and makeup I requested was not even moderately close to what Rola and her staff provided. My hair fell flat 1 hour into the party, my eyebrows weren’t dark enough for the makeup she did, and my eyelashes didn’t suit my eye shape.
I’m posting this as an honest review for future brides looking to get their hair and makeup done. Your mua plays an important part in your big day. I’ve attached images for reference.

Before I found Layelle, I had my hair done by a new hairstylist (not any associates from Maison blu) and she completely fried my hair. got it done at Maison blu and had Layelle do my hair. She immediately knew what to do and managed to make a 360 change. My hair finally looked the way I wanted it to be. I put all my trust in Layelle and she never disappoints! gotten multiple hair trims, and dyes, and now I just let the master do what she wants and it always comes out perfect every time. She explains how to take care of your hair even when it is in its worst state. Absolutely enjoyed her company, always has that glow that makes you feel comfortable right away. 10/10 would recommend it! pictures are from my last appointments, extremely happy with the outcome.

I’ve recently got my hair trimmed and highlighted in the Blu Hair Bar at Maison Blu, and honestly my hair is perfect! It is exactly what I wanted, and I am so in love and obsessed with it; I don’t think I have stopped looking in the mirror since getting my hair done! I got my hair done with Layelle and she took the time she needed to give me stunning hair I have, and even gave me the info I need to know for maintaining my gorgeous hair in the long term! This is my first big transformation in terms of changing the colour of my hair, and also my first haircut in 2 years, due to a fear I got from a bad haircut I received a while ago! Layelle gave me beautiful hair, and that fear of haircuts is definitely gone! Maison Blu is now the salon I will always go to, and I recommend this place for everyone!

Everytime I walk into Maison Blu I get amazing service, everyone who works there is so wonderful and puts so much care into their work. I have got make up done from Rania who does an absolute amazing job and my face was flawless she would not let me leave until everything is completely perfect, the make up lasted the entire day through the rain and wind the one thing that stayed perfect was the work I got done. I have also got a lash lift from her and it lasted much longer than most lash lifts do and again done with so much care. All the employees do such amazing work I would recommend this to friends and family and will be using them for all future events!

I used Glamaway Beauty for my wedding, and had an AMAZING experience. Myself, 4 bridesmaids, and my MIL had our hair and makeup done by Erin and one of her assistants. All of our hair looked incredible, and our make-up was flawless. They came to our hotel early in the morning, were right on time and could do absolutely everything we asked for in terms of hair and make-up. After a 12 hour wedding, including being in a windy park for pictures and partying at night, we all still looked flawless! Erin provided hair and makeup services for our wedding.
Our makeup looked good throughout the day and the colour matching she did with foundation was great. There were some small details that I had to ask for that I felt should have been covered (lash edges lifting, blending edges of eyeshadow) but Erin was great at taking feedback and fixing/adjusting as requested. So be open with her regarding anything you have concerns with!
In hindsight, I wish I would have done a hair trial but it was something that I could not financially justify for the wedding. My curls had fallen flat by the ceremony and I was disappointed when our photos came back.
