Mike from Cal Rid came out to check on a wasp issue, and he was fantastic! Super friendly, professional, and thorough. He assessed the entire yard and somehow found a hidden wasp nest underneath our deck that we couldn’t even see. But now? The wasps are completely gone! I’m so relieved and impressed by the quality of work. A job very well done. If you need pest control, definitely give Cal Rid a call and ask for Mike—he was amazing!

Horrible vile company. Totally inhumane and unethical. They put out large amounts of poison next to a public park natural area to kill ground squirrels and left the carcasses out to be consumed by all the other wildlife in the area (hawks, eagles, bobcats, coyotes, etc.) as well as dogs. Poisons as a first response to deal with ground squirrels is also extremely lazy. They did not try anything else before destroying the environment and potentially poisoning people's pets.
Also, I called 311 to ask them pick up the poisoned ground squirrels/gophers and they said to call Cal-Rid. Cal-Rid is closed now so I am forced to deal with the poisoned gophers myself. I picked up one that already had its eye pecked out but its heart is still beating. I am horrified. There are hawks and bald eagles circling above so I can't leave this poor animal here to be consumed and poison another animal. I am beyond disgusted with how this company operates.

This company needs to be investigated to see if what they are doing next to the bird sanctuary in Lynnview is legal. They are using an extremely high number of open poison bait boxes on private property but next to a huge park where there are many coyotes, bobcats, eagles, etc. The poison is causing all of the gophers in the area to slowly die outside of their holes. The birds are starting to eat the poisoned gophers that are half alive. This pest control company is not following up and removing the poisoned gophers and this is a HUGE SAFETY concern for pets, children, wildlife. The traps are not humane and the long term consequences of the poison are astronomical.

Two funny fellas from CAL-RID fame,
Eighteen years strong in the pest-control game.
With wit in their toolkits and laughs in their stride,
They chased out the squirrels I could no longer abide.
They climbed through the rafters, they sealed every seam,
Their methods precise—not just some quick scheme.
With chuckles and charm, they inspected it all,
From rooftop to basement, no critter too small.
They patched and they proofed, left no hole unscanned,
Worked like a comedy team with a rodent command.
Their banter was sharp, their timing on cue—
But make no mistake, they knew what to do.
The squirrels are gone, not a scratch nor a sound,
Thanks to the best pest men around.
So here’s to the duo—true legends, no jest—
Two funny pros who gave their best.
If vermin return or raccoons start to riot,
I’ll call CAL-RID again to restore the quiet.
For laughter and skill in a perfect blend,
These two pest-busting heroes I’ll always commend!

We used cal-rid to clean a lot of pigeon feces from the balcony. The lady that came to do the work was incredibly good. First rate work and I would highly recommend them.

How absolutely appalling, poisoning is the most vile and lazy response to animal control imaginable. So many other options available. You are responsible for countless preventable primary and secondary poisonings of wildlife, and the potential poisoning of Calgarians beloved pets. Off leash dogs and cats that roam are at serious risk. Did you even consider how your actions are irresponsible? Obviously not, shows you don't have a shred of ethics or brains within your leadership/ownership group.
I hope your business suffers serious financial consequences for your stupidity and never fully recovers, I feel sorry for your employees.
How do you plan to make amends for this heinous and reckless behavior?
Public apology?
Sizable donations to wildlife preservation?
Leadership resign?
Choose your poison..
That's more choice than you gave those poor ground squirrels.
You are the real animals and give us humans a bad name.

I wanna give kudos to everyone in the office Nancy and Bree. And all their technicians and I have used them for my buildings multiple times and the energy and attitude is positive and they are efficient and effective at what they do

They do their part of the job and get results and as an owner I also have to do my part to ensure that the problem doesn’t come back by maintaining a clean and clutter free space
