In short: they make a first good impression but do not communicate well and make it difficult to get help after the first treatment.
When I first called the Responders for my bed bug problem, I was impressed at how quickly they answered, gave me reassuring information, and booked an appointment the next day. I did need two more treatments for my problem, which I have read is common for bed bugs, but what I noticed in the time that spanned from the first treatment to the last was:
- A lack of communication between the dispatcher and the agent. I told them someone else lived downstairs; they said they would leave the basement out of it but ended up walking in on my neighbour when she was home
- A mismatch in the information I was given and what they really meant. Specifically, I was told after the first treatment that if I see a live one again within 60 days to call them back. I saw a live one a few days later and called, and the person on the phone amended to wait three weeks and then call if we still saw live ones. Also, when they came back the third time, I asked if it was worth throwing my furniture out at this point, to which he said, "No, I would have recommended that the first time I was here, it was pretty bad then," but the first time he came he said it looked not too bad and that we caught it early.
- A distinct lack of response via text and email. Calling is the way to go to get their attention. I received one text response after sending images, videos, and a follow-up message, and I never heard a response via email. It was frustrating to not even get a receipt or any sort of acknowledgement.
Thank you for your help, Responders. I hope to see better education, clear communication, and any customer service via email and text in the future for others who need your services.

Had a long back and forth with the owners of Responders over work that was done. Neither of the people that did the work, work there today.
The short version is that the house was damaged, scuffed up etc. However they did compensate me for the damages and the bugs were gone.
At the end of the day I would use them again because their methods get the job done and Jordan took care of things after the fact.

Very accommodating Tech (Nick) and staff (Mike). Explained requirements for my unaffected unit as well as the process for affected units. They were in and out of my unit quite quickly allowing me to carry on with my other appointments.
I locked up my unit and was away for 5 days. Upon my return I found that they had used (#2) and plugged my toilet. They did not mention this when I locked my unit? I emailed them on the day I returned and still have not heard back (3 days) from them. If they have to come back for warranty work which it sounds like they may, I'll be requesting PPE to do a walk though afterwards.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I had a bedbug heat treatment done back in September, they showed up again in November (I even have pictures to prove they were there which these clowns asked for and I sent) which would qualify for a SECOND heat treatment. Instead, they did a useless pesticide spray which did absolutely nothing as they were still there to the point my 60 plus year old mother was sleeping on the floor because these guys refused to get back to me about a second heat treatment until late JANUARY… then Micheal’s excuse is it was the holidays blah blah blah. Listen, I paid over two grand, I’m not interested in excuses when I have already paid you. You should be responding to people ASAP considering how rapidly bedbugs spread. I am still not fully convinced they are gone since they were negligent in responding to my emails and phone calls. Michael and his team need to learn customer service and if the roles were reversed, I doubt he would be happy with this deplorable customer service. NEVER AGAIN.
EDIT: Now you want to be bright and lie about how you "responded" pretty sure November 14th when I FIRST email that they were still here is within our warranty, nice try. Doesn't matter what you feel, what matters is what happened. Responding to google reviews and no phone calls or emails emphasizes my point. You forgot to mention you never got back to me for over a week in January and the holidays were over, I had to call you again and again. January 18th is two days away from late January, get over yourself; you're a COMPLETE joke! Just take accountability for your non-existent customer service and do better, end of story.

Extremely poor customer care, service and results. Michael and his team failed miserably to deliver what they promised. They offered very little direction, flip flopped on what they said, and were ultimately unable to take care of our pest issue. They are the most expensive on the market and I’d highly recommend saving some money and finding someone else who will do the job with excellence as apposed to mediocrity and carelessness. Working with them the last few months has been unpleasant and stressful.

I recently contacted Responders for a bed bug investigation. Their investigators responded the same day I contacted them, and I was impressed that the price for bed bug removal was considerably less than the general market price.
Incidentally, Responders did not exterminate bed bugs this time because there were no bed bugs.
If you are reading this review and want to get relief as soon as possible, I recommend you contact Responders.
