I am absolutely thrilled with my experience working with Sunset Homes on my multifamily project. From day one, their president, Pedro, has exceeded every expectation I had for what initially felt like a massive undertaking. Pedro is incredibly easy to talk to and has a remarkable ability to make you feel comfortable and confident about tackling such a significant project. I specially appreciate their comprehensive, full-service approach - they didn't just handle the construction, they guided me through every critical step including helping with the design phase, providing excellent guidance in choosing the right land for the project, and seamlessly handling both development and building permits. We're currently wrapping up foundation work and preparing for city inspection, with everything progressing smoothly toward the next stage. The team's professionalism and approachability have made this entire process enjoyable rather than stressful. The project manager, Nella, and her team demonstrates lightning-fast responsiveness with complete transparency in all communications. Anyone from Sunset Homes utilize multiple channels including their dedicated app, emails, phone calls and text messages, providing exceptional hand-holding guiding to ensure I'm informed and comfortable with every step. This team combines technical expertise with outstanding customer service and leadership, making them a rare find in the construction industry. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a construction project!

Excellent experience working with Sunset Homes to date. We interviewed six custom home builders prior to deciding to proceed with Sunset Homes. The Sunset team communicates well, responds to the home owner's requests in a timely manner and consistently demonstrates an organized, owner focused approach to executing the work. The Co-construct project management software used to manage the build is a great tool that allows the home owner to view and participate in all aspects of construction including schedule, budget, design and selections. Sunset utilizes high quality contractors who they have established relationships with over the years. As a result, the contractors are very responsive to owner requests and deliver a high level of quality in their daily work. The job site is organized and tidy at all times.

It was an amazing pleasure to work with Sunset Homes to build our bespoke dream house. A big difference was made because of the team's commitment to keeping our interests front and center. With skill and patience, they helped us make every choice and made sure our vision was realized perfectly. Their strategy created a long-lasting friendship that we genuinely cherish in addition to building our lovely home.

We hired Sunset Homes, Pedro Ocana Muller and Nella Ocana in September 2024 to build an outbuilding for our home with a golf simulator. We were told it may take about 4 months in total. Approximately eight (8) months have now passed and only about 30% of the project has been completed. In our opinion, the project experienced significant delays and problems. For example, at the beginning, they poured the foundation for the building in the wrong location and then had to correct it. We were also asked to make more payments even though much of this project remains unfinished or delayed. Based on our experience, we would definitely not recommend Sunset Homes. Edited to respond: Thinking of hiring Sunset Homes and Pedro Ocana Muller? Note the lack of accountability in their response and how they place responsibility back on to their customer. In our case, they don't mention: (1) the $70,000 we pre-paid; (2) the defective work that they had to re-do; (3) delays far beyond our expectations; (4) the fact that after approximately 9 months, only about 30% of the work has been done; or (5) that we had to hire a lawyer and also pay legal fees. If you still want to hire them, we strongly recommend having your own lawyer negotiate their contract before you sign it.
