Genie Senior Services recently needed a short term storage option for a client that was moving but had a 8 day gap between moving out of one home and into their new condo.

I’ve arranged a storage unit for several clients in the past and have always been impressed by the service offered at Sentinel Storage.

The staff at Sentinel on 10 Ave downtown Calgary are absolutely excellent! The gentleman who assisted me was extremely helpful and polite.

With limited notice, Sentinel on 10 Ave SE was able to secure the 3 storage units that I needed at an amazing price! While taking advantage of a limited time special offer, I was able to save my client over $400 compared to a quote from another downtown storage facility.

I highly recommend Sentinel Storage!
It is definitely my go to company when my clients need a storage solution.

We had to wait 4 hours before check-in, and it was hard to carry our 3 big suitcases. So we decided to use this place.
The staff were so kind and warm — we were really touched.
They welcomed us with big smiles. Even though we had to buy a key, one of them let us use her personal key because we only needed it for a short time. Thanks to her, we could save money.
If anyone needs storage, we will definitely recommend this place.
Thank you so much!

We had an amazing experience with CanaDream in Calgary! From start to finish, their customer service was outstanding—friendly, efficient, and very helpful in explaining how everything worked.

We traveled for 8 weeks with a vehicle from the Canadream fleet and were customers for the 3rd time. Once again we were looked after by a competent and always friendly team, from booking to taking over the vehicle and support during the trip, thank you again dear Brettany.
The vehicle met our needs and wishes 100%, we felt extremely comfortable and regarded it as our second home 🙂 We could have traveled even further.
Should we travel to Canada again, we will gladly come back to Canadream.

Hired a pick up camper which was very clean, and fully equipped, with helpful friendly staff to help us on our way. Had a great 9 nights exploring the Rockies, finishing up in Waterton National Park before returning to Calgary. Return process was easy and fair, with a taxi ordered for us to get to our hotel. Can’t thank you enough, an amazing holiday in a great vehicle!!

After a lot of research and reading great reviews, we decided to use Canadream for our once in a lifetime holiday with our son, daughter-in-law and their family to travel to our other sons wedding.

On our first night we found out that our motorhome did not have any blinds, so no privacy and sunlight streaming in very early and until late at night. Coming from Australia, this was very disruptive to our trip, lack of sleep causing irritability and tiredness for my husband who was driving every day.

We contacted Canadream but their reply was to find something to block the light out at our expense or take our motor home to an RV place and they would ship the blinds to them to be fitted. This would have taken us off of our planned itinerary and we would have missed out on time with our family.

On returning our motorhome, all that was offered was a discount on the extra kms that we had done!! We find this extremely unprofessional!!!

Along with this problem, we also had a leak under the vanity sink which continued to wet everything we had stored under there, we paid extra for a kitchen kit which was so basic, blunt knives, no wooden spoons, spatulas etc to cook with, and can opener that did not work, making life difficult.

We also paid extra for linen kits, which comprised of sheets, towels, 1 rug, 1 quilt and 2 pillows that were so flat that we had to sleep with our travel pillows under our actual pillows, causing sore necks either way! Lucky we were travelling with our son as we ended up using a single quilt out of their motorhome as a blind in our dining area, for privacy.

All of this, especially the lack of blinds, tainted what would have been a very special time for us and our family, a holiday to remember for all of the wrong reasons

Would I recommend Canadream? Maybe not

We got our truck camper from CanaDream Calgary, a 2026 Ford F350 with a 2025 Northern-Lite 811. Kim and her team treated us very well and set us up for a fantastic vacation. We got an informative but also expedient walkthrough of the camper. Kim and her team got us out in under 30 min and we were on our way. Our truck camper never gave us any issue. The F350 was brand new and very clean. It drove well, handled easily, had great mileage, and came with CarPlay (big bonus). The Northern-Lite camper that we got was also excellent as befitting the Northern-Lite brand. Warm water with the electric heater comes in under 5 min. There was ample room in the camper to sleep 3 of us. At night, the heater unit kept us warm without any fuss. The unit is well-lit with lots of lighting options. The outdoor light was also very bright, great for dark nights at campgrounds. Overall, we had a great vacation in the beautiful Jasper, Banff, and Yoho national parks. CanaDream really lives up to its name!

Renting from Karma Campervans was an absolute breeze! We landed on a Sunday, and even though the office was closed, we had zero trouble picking up our van thanks to their super-clear email instructions. It was smooth sailing from the get-go.

They also gave us an awesome guidebook that walks you through everything about the van. Definitely take a few minutes to read through it — not only will it help you get comfy with the van, but it’s also a great way to spot any extra things you might notice before hitting the road. It’s a win-win for both you and Karma.

As for the van itself — perfect size for my sister and me! We had two queen beds and four seats, which we used all week. It was super comfy, and the heater was a lifesaver when the nights got chilly. The van’s battery was impressive too — it charges while you’re driving or through solar power, so we never had to worry about losing juice.

All in all, our Karma Campervans trip was amazing. The van was comfy, practical, and made our adventure that much more fun. We’d totally rent from them again!

I’ve rented from Karma Campervans twice now, once in Calgary AB and once in Richmond BC, for a total of three weeks of travel. My experience was uniformly excellent. The vans are well designed, quite practical, with a lot of space. They are winter-capable, well insulated, with a great heater and thermostat. I tested this to the max during a very cold 2-week ski trip in the Canadian Rockies and slept like a baby in the super comfortable bed, with the heater automatically cycling during the night, when it was -23C! (There’s also a block-heater for when it’s that cold). The pickup and dropoff experience is excellent and flexible. The staff are super helpful and friendly. I will definitely rent here again and have been telling all my friends about it.

Wow! What a wonderful way to camp. Our family of four had the most amazing time and I truly had the best three nights of my life in our van! We have had the best time during our West Canada trip in one of the Karma Campervans! Communication was fast and clear. We were lucky to be the first passengers of this particular van, though it seems they renew their fleet a lot. All what we needed was in the van and it was truly amazing. Thanks team

This is a good company that is responsive and helpful. The van is nice to drive, has good ventilation, good heating and comfortable for two people. Four people works if two are children as the top bunk is very tight for head room. There is no ladder for the top bunk so it requires stepping on the counter top to get into the top bed. There were thing wrong with the van such as only one burner worked on the two burner stove, the fresh water tap leaked all over the floor, the driver’s chair did not swivel. The van was expensive but the company graciously off-set this with a reasonable and fair compensation for the things that did not work. They were good to negotiate with and responded appropriately without any hassle. We suggest that it is a very good idea to do a thorough check of all the functions of the van before setting out. It is our conclusion that quality control could improve in the checks when a van is returned and sent out again. I would rent this van again with that in mind.

After the hail storm of last year I really didn’t know where to take my damaged trailer. I tried Woody’s. The best decision I made. Their service department was amazing. We went to the Calgary RV Show this past January and after several hours of wandering through retailers we made it to Woody’s show area. What a difference, no high pressure sales, friendly, knowledgeable and great people. We initially spoke with the Brand Rep for the trailer we were looking at and he introduced us to our salesman Landon Losinski.
Our experience was absolutely excellent and we signed the papers to factory order our new trailer to be delivered in the first week of April. Landon contacted us in early March to let us know our trailer had been delivered early, normally this would be perfect but it’s still winter in Alberta ;( Landon was great about it and scheduled our delivery inspection and secured a service bay so we could be inside and take our time doing the inspection/walk through properly, and thank goodness he did as it was a miserable cold snowy day! As a side note Woody’s pre-delivery inspection found that the water heater was malfunctioning and had already ordered a replacement, great job!
Everyone we met at Woody’s RV (Calgary SE) was friendly and helpful and we look forward to a long RV relationship. We have been camping RVing for over 30 years, owing multiple RV’s and by far this was our best buying experience.

We recently purchased our RV through Woody’s RV World, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish! Trent, our sales rep, was outstanding—knowledgeable, funny, and always quick to respond. He took the time to answer all our questions and made the process enjoyable while also ensuring we found the perfect RV for our family. We truly appreciated the personal connection he built with us along the way.

Bonnie in finance was also wonderful to work with. She made sure we were comfortable and fully understood all the financing details, which gave us complete confidence in our purchase.

I recently bought a small used trailer at Woody’s RV and I am very pleased with the professional, helpful, supportive service I received from Landon ( Sales Associate ) and Bonnie.( Financing ).
Since this was the first time for me buying a trailer, Landon explained everything in detail to me and helped me to get things, including trailer hookup, trailer parts and trailer storage places organized. He also provided a 1.5 hour orientation on «how to» which was extremely helpful. I can strongly recommend Landon for all your RV needs.
Bonnie helped me with the financing and got me a great deal, I am very thankful. Great place to buy and do business with

We cannot say enough good things about what an amazing experience this was! From the start of our trip where Sai set us up with the necessities for our travel and giving us pointers so that we were ready to hit the road! All along the way we continued to find great features about this vehicle – such a comfortable ride. The tent up top was awesome! We stayed really warm and it ended up being way more comfortable than expected due to the little mattress included. Being able to make our meals on the road, and have all of our items with us for our adventure was the best way of travel. We would ABSOLUTELY choose IndieCampers again and choose the wrangler/popup tent option

The customer service from Sai was great and definitely saved the trip. When we went to pick up our car we were told the car we booked and the stuff that’s supposed to come in the car wasn’t installed. Sai helped provide most of the missing items so we could camp for the 6 days. I wish the company told us that some of the items are missing before we got here to pick up the car. The company definitely needs to organize better and provide more help to the workers at the pick up center in Calgary because they definitely seemed understaffed and they had to run around to make the customers happy.

Stored our trailer here for years never had any issues. Bought a 41 foot 5th wheel last May used it for one season dropped it off at the end of October to Shorty’s «secure lot». Went back to the storage lot beginning of January and the trailer was gone along with 25 years of camping equipment. Apparently the Cameras weren’t working and hadn’t been working for months. Would have been nice to be informed that the cameras were not working.Shorty’s also refused to inform everyone that there had been a theft and to check their trailers, they refused saying they did not want the bad publicity. Would not recommend!

I am happy to give a great review for Trailer Town. The furnace stopped working on my trailer during a May long weekend camping trip. I called and spoke with Keith who recommended that I take the furnace out and bring it in to save on the shop rate. When I asked for a time line of completion I was told possible a couple days depending on parts. I am happy to say that Keith had called a couple hours later with the problem (sail switch) an estimate for repairs and that it would be ready for pick up the next day. Thanks fellas.

My wife and I recently purchased a trailer from Dale and we absolutely thrilled with the level of care and professionalism from him and his team. The whole process was very smooth and we always felt like he had our best interests in mind. I would recommend Trailer Town to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reputable dealer!

I have encountered very few honest people in my life, especially in the service industry, but these guys are wonderful. As a landscaper, I don’t know much about trailer brakes. When I went to get my trailer brakes changed, they could have easily charged me a lot, but they didn’t. Instead, they just adjusted my brake controller and fixed the issue at no cost. I must give them credit for their outstanding service. Please keep it up and continue making the world a better place!

The best upfront trailer repair shop in the world or at least in Calgary. I’ve dealt with Keith & Dale since 2016 when we bought our trailer new from them & now Steve in the past few years. I’ve taken the trailer in a number of times for small annual repairs. Each time those repairs were done with utmost proficient work in reasonable time. A couple of times the boys found other items that should be attended. They phone, explained the situation & then complete the work as mentioned. Most times the jobs done under the quoted price. Not only does the shop do excellent work but they also carry a great line of merchandise for all of your trailer needs & if they don’t have it they’ll bring it in. Also as I was leaving the other day, Keith mentioned, if we were ever in the city I can drop in for a coffee & a bad joke. As you can tell I’m a fan. Thanks fellas.

Moved in jan of 2024. I Love living here! It’s quiet, clean, and they do an amazing job on keeping the roads clean in the winter.

The staff are all friendly, helpful & responsive.

The amenities: Hot tub, sauna, gym, community centre are always spotless and well kept.

Thanks, chateau fam!

Have been living here for 2 years now and it’s been amazing! Olivia, the park manager, is on top of things and is very communicative. The park is well maintained and my neighbours are great. Everyone I’ve met so far is friendly and it’s been a pretty quiet neighborhood.

Rates are great. Park is clean and most lots are very well kept. Been here for 10 years. The park is super quiet and safe. I only give the park 4 stars though because the previous Park Manager and the current Park Manager were both usually rude and disrespectful. There isn’t a community association and there are hardly any community events. The ones that do happen are always poorly advertised.

So I personally live here and since management went to Olivia it’s been nothing but a nightmare. She doesn’t know how to do her job been asking receipts for stuff and she decided to block me off her phone which is unprofessional because she is suppose to be management and been asking her why I m getting a notice of me owing 600 when the month of November hasn’t ended and if she wouldn’t of blocked me she would know my payments happen on the 1st and 15 Th of each month ‍♀️
Poor job done I d say

Considering that the park fees are kept low and they have a public pool and community centre this is a park that many of my clients have enjoyed thoroughly.

The park keeps the rules simple and consistently enforces the rules evenly and fairly.

The homes are generally new and kept in good repair.

Being located to a lot of shopping and the Ring Road makes for a convenient location.

I don’t like to get five stars to many place. I usually only give fours at the best twos at the worst, but the service was so good here. The prices were great. My furnace wasn’t working. Took it in there. I did have my furnace out of the RV so didn’t take them long. Had it working for me

Met Dale at the RV show he showed us an RV that had everything we ever wanted, provided us with a fair trade in price. Gave us some numbers, smiled(because he new we could not pass up the deal he gave us).
We purchased the 5th wheel.
We had an issue with their hitch install and we were not happy with the issue. Here is where their customer service excelled and we knew at this point we had chosen wisely.
This is what they did for us to help us.
They loaned us their truck to get our new 5th wheel home (2hrs from Calgary) and return with our trade in and then they proceeded to tell us not to worry about the fuel we used in their truck for transporting the units. Our truck required a repair at the dealer due to the incident which they paid for 100% without question.
People (companies) sometimes make mistakes and its rare that you find a company that takes ownership of them then proceeds to take care of you in the manor that they have done. Truly an exceptional company.
After all that happened we received a message on our answering machine thanking us for taking good care of our trailer that we traded in.
You have gained some long term customers.
Thank you Dale and Keith for everything you have done for us.

Took my trailer back to get warranty work done on a black water valve I had replaced two camping trips ago. They told me no leak, I bring the trailer home and take a look, and to my surprise water leaking from the black water valve.

Update – they offered to go out of their way to fix it, even picking up the trailer for me. Didn’t take them up on it, haven’t decided if I will use them again.

Bought a fifth wheel from them 9 years ago. Every year I would take it home and wash it myself, no problems. Also applied RV caulking on any roof areas that looked warn. So decided to have them check the brakes they had rebuilt 2 years prior and said give it a good wash. After getting it back and put it in storage, the following spring I had laminations separating the fiberglass from the wooden sides. Looks like they pressure washed it from below and got water into the sides. Windows are only sealed on three sides to allow for drainage. RV is now ruined. Buy from them but don’t have it serviced by lease hacks.

6.2 (+ 389 reviews)

Mountain View Farm Camping Ltd. provides a convenient location for those traveling through the region, especially those seeking access to nearby attractions. The staff are consistently described as helpful and accommodating, often going above and beyond to adjust reservations or address concerns. This contributes to a positive overall experience, despite some limitations.

While the campground offers a readily available resource for short stays, the facilities could benefit from improvements. The communal areas, including the bathrooms and laundry, are basic and require more frequent cleaning and maintenance to ensure a comfortable environment. Site amenities, such as electrical hookups, are provided, but the overall experience hinges on the individual’s willingness to accept a rustic setting.

The park was easy to find. It is located at the East Exit to Canmore on the Trans Canada Highway. There is pavement all the way including in the park. Signage is adequate. Check in was «On Line» and by reservation only. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are paved and in good condition.
Our site, 57, was a gravel based back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp and water only) were to the left side. Distancing is poor for a Provincial Park. Some sites had a vegetation privacy barrier. Each site has a table and a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was reasonably well groomed. Be aware. There is traffic noise as the park is located right beside the highway. You may hear trains and helicopters as well.

There is NO park included wifi or cable TV. We did not find any OTA channels. Satellite might be difficult. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean.

There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be an okay overnighter. We paid $39.00 per night plus a $11.43 reservation fee and one must have paid for a Kananaskis Conservation Pass
at $15.00/day 0r $90.00 for the year ($65.43 for one night) and we feel we received poor value. We will look for other alternatives if in the area again.

Unfortunately this is the closest campground to Calgary Stampede and the owners know they will have guests because of the proximity to such a big event.

The campground is dirty, the sites are so close together and the septic and the fresh water source are in the ground right next to each other. It is very unsanitary. I saw a person in a rented RV lay their open water line on the ground next to the septic hole, disgusting.

The bathrooms are so old and dirty. I feel for those people who have to use them for showers, etc.

I would never recommend this place to anyone. We talked to people who have stayed here before and they all agree the owners do not seem to care about the state of the grounds or the facilities.

They must be making tons of $$ as it was always full with people coming in and going out.

The only positive thing I have to say is the women who work in the office are very helpful.

Oh and the putt putt course is overrun with weeds and poorly maintained. They shouldn’t even advertise it.

pretty used up…. Showers are $1 for 5 minutes tho you need exact change in quarters. So far so good and nothing new. But if I have to pay for the shower, I at least expect them to be working and actually clean. Only two showers were working partly (water wasn’t flowing strong and the last minute is entirely cold) and they were not clean at all. Same for the rest of the washrooms. Disappointing.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights and we will definitely be coming back next year. The wonderful lady at the front desk (I’m so sorry I never got her name) was extremely kind and super accommodating. We had initially booked a 50 amp hookup when our trailer could only fit a 30 amp. She changed our reservation on the spot and luckily there was a 30 amp available. We had also only planned to stay 2 nights but decided on an extra night. The laundry amenities were super clean and the machines worked great!

My son and I lived at this campground for 2 years and the ONLY reason we stayed so long is because the location was perfect.

The rules that this campground has woukd make you think that it’s 5 star accomadation when in reality it’s a 1 star. They claim the rules are county bylaws, which after speaking to the county they are not, the campground can have the land use bylaws changed anytime they want to. But what does it matter when the campground itself picks and chooses which of their own bylaws they follow and pick and choose which guests to enforce the bylaws on.

You can talk to the office staff and ask them questions but if you go and talk to them again in a few days or more they completely backtrack on what they said the last time. For example my son asked one of the ladies about skirting for the winter told her exactly what we were getting and doing she said yes, he soent 700$ on material then 2 weeks later when we started installing it they said that it wouldn’t be good enough and we’d have to get something different. Not to mention they only give 72 hours to install it which is hard when you work 6 days a week 12 hours a day.

The bathrooms and showers and laundry are in deplorable condition, the showers get cleaned once a day but never properly. They is always a thick layer of scum on the walls on hand rails. Most of the shorter head leak too. Hit and miss if there’s hot water or not and the water always has a stench to it. The toilets don’t flush properly, but the campground puts signs on the doors remind us to flush thinking that it’s the guests fault that the toilets are always backed up, sometimes sitting full of excrement for 12+ hours. If the bathrooms were inspected by AHS they’d be shutdown. In the laundry room you’re lucky if they have more than one dryer going and lucky to get your clothes dryer by the end of the day even if you started in the morning.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Even

Stopped here for one night on our way to Alaska. We got in pretty late and check in staff were great. Bathrooms are clean and showers are not free (they take Loonies and Toonies Canadian $1 and $2). Our site backed up to an open grassy area where we could throw the ball for the dogs a bit. There is a communal fire pit and they provided wood, which was a nice touch.

Catalog of services offered by RV rentals in Calgary

    RV Selection and Consultation

A crucial first step is a comprehensive RV selection and consultation. Rental companies in Calgary offer guidance in choosing the right RV based on your travel party size, trip duration, and desired amenities. This includes matching the RV to your budget and travel style.

    RV Orientation and Walkthrough

To ensure a comfortable and safe trip, a thorough RV orientation and walkthrough is essential. Rental agencies provide detailed explanations of the RV's systems, including electrical, plumbing, and gas operations, alongside safety protocols.

    Mileage Packages and Options

Rental companies offer a range of mileage packages and options to suit different travel plans. Customers can choose from unlimited mileage or limited mileage options, potentially adding extra mileage purchases if needed to cover unforeseen distances.

    Equipment Rentals and Add-ons

To enhance the travel experience, many rental companies provide equipment rentals and add-ons, such as generators, leveling blocks, propane tanks, and outdoor cooking accessories. These items are helpful for self-sufficiency and comfort during the trip.

    Roadside Assistance and Support

Peace of mind on the road is important. Rental services often include roadside assistance and support, offering help with breakdowns, flat tires, and other unexpected issues encountered during travel.

    One-Way Rental Options

For travelers with flexible itineraries, rental companies provide one-way rental options, allowing pick-up and drop-off at different locations. This provides the freedom to explore multiple destinations without the need for a return trip.

    Pet-Friendly RV Rentals

Recognizing the importance of bringing furry companions, some rental companies offer pet-friendly RV rentals. These rentals come with specific policies and potential fees related to pet accommodation, ensuring a comfortable experience for both humans and animals.

For those planning extended adventures, many rental companies offer extended rental discounts. These discounts reward customers who book RV rentals for longer periods, making longer trips more affordable.

    Delivery and Pick-up Services

To offer added convenience, rental providers often have delivery and pick-up services. This eliminates the need for clients to travel to the rental location, particularly helpful for those with limited mobility or tight schedules.

Frequently asked questions about RV rentals in Calgary

What types of RVs are typically available for rent in Calgary?

Calgary offers a wide selection of RV rental options. You’re likely to find everything from smaller, more fuel-efficient campervans suitable for solo travelers or couples, to larger Class A motorhomes equipped with all the comforts of home, and various Class C motorhomes offering a blend of features. There are also travel trailers which require a separate vehicle for towing, offering flexibility depending on your needs and vehicle capacity. Truck campers are also available for those wishing to combine towing with a more compact living space.

What factors should I consider when choosing an RV rental?

Selecting the right RV rental involves evaluating several key factors. Consider the number of travelers, desired level of comfort, experience with RV driving and operation, and the types of destinations you plan to visit. Size and fuel efficiency are also important, as is the availability of features like a generator, air conditioning, or a fully equipped kitchen. It's also important to think about the storage space you'll need for your belongings.

What are the typical rental rates for RVs in Calgary?

Rental rates for RVs in Calgary can vary significantly based on the RV type, rental duration, and season. Expect to pay anywhere from approximately $100 to $350+ per night for a basic campervan to $500+ per night for a luxury Class A motorhome. Longer rentals often come with discounted daily rates. Peak season (summer months) generally commands higher prices. Mileage allowances and extra fees (cleaning, generator use) should also be factored into the total cost.

What insurance coverage is included, and what additional coverage options are available?

Most RV rental agreements include basic liability insurance. However, this may not be sufficient to cover all potential damages. It's often recommended to purchase supplemental coverage, such as collision damage waiver (CDW) and comprehensive insurance. Understand the deductible amounts associated with each coverage type. Some credit card companies may offer rental car insurance benefits, which might extend to RVs, but it's important to verify the terms and conditions.

What is the process for picking up and returning an RV?

The pick-up process typically involves a detailed walkthrough of the RV, including a demonstration of its features and systems. A rental agreement will need to be signed. Upon return, another inspection will be conducted to assess any damage. It’s essential to arrive on time for both pick-up and return appointments. There might be late return fees if you don't adhere to the agreed-upon schedule.

Are there any restrictions on where I can travel with a rental RV?

Most rental agreements have geographic restrictions. Some companies may limit travel to specific provinces or regions of Canada. Traveling outside of these designated areas might incur additional fees or even void the rental agreement. It’s crucial to review the fine print of the contract and obtain prior approval if you plan to travel extensively. Consider road conditions and accessibility for the intended destinations.

What is the procedure for handling breakdowns or mechanical issues during the rental period?

Reputable RV rental companies typically provide roadside assistance or a 24/7 helpline for mechanical emergencies. The rental agreement should outline the procedures for reporting breakdowns and arranging for repairs. Coverage for repairs is usually part of the rental agreement. Keep all receipts and documentation related to any repairs or maintenance undertaken during the rental period. A support team is essential to have available.

What are the requirements for driving an RV? Do I need a special license?

The licensing requirements for driving an RV vary depending on its size and weight. In Alberta, you typically don’t need a special license to drive smaller RVs (under a certain gross vehicle weight). However, larger RVs may require a Class 2 or Class 3 license. It's important to check the specific requirements based on the RV’s weight and your local regulations. Driving experience is crucial - these vehicles handle differently than standard cars.

What are some common mistakes renters make, and how can I avoid them?

Common mistakes include not thoroughly inspecting the RV before departure, exceeding weight limits, neglecting proper waste disposal, and failing to understand the electrical and plumbing systems. To avoid these issues, take the walkthrough seriously, pay attention to weight restrictions, familiarize yourself with the RV’s operations, and practice proper waste management. Read the rental agreement carefully and ask questions if anything is unclear. It’s also vital to keep the waste tanks from overfilling.

What are the responsibilities of the renter regarding waste disposal and grey/black water tanks?

Renters are responsible for proper waste disposal. This includes understanding how to operate and empty the grey water tank (for sink and shower water) and the black water tank (for toilet waste). Proper disposal must occur at designated dump stations. Failure to properly empty and maintain these tanks can lead to unpleasant odors, plumbing issues, and potential penalties. Many campgrounds provide facilities for waste tank dumping.
