Best car washes in Calgary: find options near you

This is my go-to car wash every time I head to Costco, super convenient location!
The facility is big, clean, and well-maintained, with double bays that let two cars wash side by side and double double per bay. There are loads of wash options to choose from, whether you’re just doing a quick rinse or going all in with the extras. You can pay easily with either card or coins, and they even have a subscription plan if you’re a regular.

I really appreciate the large parking lot out front where you can take your time drying or detailing your car, plenty of room and no rush. The whole place always looks tidy and well-kept, which gives it a professional and trustworthy vibe.

The only downside is the layout at the exit: if the car in front of you is still finishing up and you’re done in the back spot, there’s not a lot of room to back out. You either have to wait or ask the folks in line outside to move and let you through. It could be more efficient with a bit more space between the bay entrance and the waiting line.

Still, overall a great spot. Definitely worth checking out if you want a reliable wash with good options!

Very big bays and very easy to clean around as there is a lot of room…I put the coins but he machine didn’t work so asked for help and the guy there gave the extra minutes to rinse the car without asking a question..will come.back for sure

Clean facility with plenty of space to move around. The wash cycle runs properly with strong water pressure and good quality soap. Everything feels well-maintained and efficient. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a reliable and thorough car wash in the area!

It’s always good. Ever since the crow child carwash went down hill I’ve been coming to this location. It’s a bit out of the way for me though.. but cost about the same as everywhere else. And it’s about as busy as others two. Place is new ish so everything works. The crow child place (likely different owner) needs a complete over haul. Wish they would invest the money because it’s in the perfect spot. For me.

I recently visited Royal Oak Wash and left feeling incredibly frustrated by the inefficient setup. The carwash features five or six sets sets of one-way entrances, each leading to two wash bays. While the design might seem functional on paper, it’s actually a frustrating gamble in practice.

You have to be lucky enough to pick the right entrance because each line moves at a different pace. Unfortunately, I ended up in a lineup where one user occupied the wash bay for nearly 30 minutes, completely holding up our line. There’s no staff oversight or system in place to prevent someone from hogging a bay for an unreasonable amount of time.

The lack of time limits or monitoring is a huge flaw. It’s incredibly frustrating to be stuck waiting while other lines move along smoothly. This setup turns what should be a quick stop into a stressful guessing game.

The car wash seriously needs to rethink their approach. Implementing reasonable time limits or having staff occasionally monitor the flow would make a world of difference. Until that happens, I’d suggest avoiding this place on busy unless you’re willing to roll the dice and hope for the best.

Was here feb 23 , 18:30 . First bay I put 2dollar no presoak , 2nd bay I go I put in 2 dollar only reads 1 dollar can’t get any help no one work here eat my 4 dollar only. Never come here again

Had a great experience, normally drive through the self wash but mahib really helped me was my car for the first time by myself! Very down to earth employee need more people like him in the world!

I visited this car wash during my trip to Calgary and had a great experience! It’s a small, independently owned business, and you can really tell they take customer service seriously. The owner was incredibly sweet and welcoming, and the staff did an excellent job with my car. They were helpful and detail-oriented throughout. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a thorough car wash with a personal touch or you want self serve car wash.

I found the bays to be really small (I have an SUV … good luck with a full sized truck!). There was no way to block the spray from other bays. There didn’t seem to be an attendant on site, leaving me to move the vacuum hose which the previous guest had left on the ground.

Amazing place! We didn’t know how to wash car manually, they offered to wash our car. The owner was really kind and helpful. Also they didnt charge us for washing. We never had met such kind people here in Canada before.

Overall a great 365 day car wash. I would recommend visiting Associated if you are looking for a 24-hour wand wash.

The water pressure is strong, and the soaps are always filled, and the water is warm. Vacuum & drying hose inside the wash bays. Wifi on site and a change machine that supplies bills to change and $0.25 coins to $1.00 coins. Shampoo & vacuum machine works well. The shampoo hose has both spot clean and shampoo options. Tire shine and scent machine is also available. The scent machine has wild cherry and new car scents, but the new car scent has been empty for a long time.

My only complaints would be that it’s a little expensive, I think $1.00 is equal to about 1.5 mins, and the bay doors are almost never closed. Last winter, there were a few times I went at night, and the heaters were off, and the bay door was open, making my washes very uncomfortable. If the wash bay exit doors can close, why not keep them closed all the time?

***UPDATE***
Since posting this review, every time I’ve visited, the «EXIT» door has been closed. The experience is much more pleasant without the wind tunnel the bays create. I appreciate the changes! While visiting today, the water was very cold. Because there’s no snow, ice and salt on the street I don’t notice a huge difference in comparison with a wash that has hot water. During the months that we experience snow, ice, and salt, and I wash my car with cold water, during towel drying, my towels get dirty! It would be amazing if this wash used hot/warm water during the winter months. I do and will continue to support this business!

Absolutely appalled. Called on behalf of my company to inquire about the email address of the business to send an invoice of a recently ordered product. Owner immediately got angry and started cursing at me. Safe to say you will no longer be able to purchase anything at Doorlec and please know, that we will be advising our associates of this inexcusable behaviour! Good luck getting door servicing and products!

Went through carwash with my monthly membership. It seized all power and shut off completely 4 different times while I was inside the car wash, nobody else was in there with me. I went through the car wash again as it says a 110% satisfactory or wash again. I talked to the tenant and said That there were still dirt grime all over my car from the car wash and that I also didn’t receive the package I got originally where it had the colorful nice smelling soap that should have been used on the car. They put my car through a second time. It yet again did not wash my car properly there was grime everywhere. And didn’t have the good smelling soap. I was running late for an appointment already, so I just left. I am definitely not happy with my experience at all.

This place is great. Roll in any time to wash my car. And I just want to say one thing…KUDOS to the youngsters working there. You all are fantastic and should be very proud of yourselves. Your customer service is amazing. and you are all so polite and hard working. I think you all deserve a raise.

Carwash does a subpar job on my truck even with «mud blast.» Constant price increases to their plans but discounts offered to non-members/subscribers. Their scanners for Club Mint seem to intermittently not work resulting in the gates not going up and other vehicles getting into the queue prior to you. They’ve also imposed limits on how many times you can go in a month. Vacuum and drying/detail area are constantly busy causing a traffic jam in their parking lot trying to exit the wash.

Edit: to follow up, they added insult to injury by supposedly «successfully processing» my cancellation, then still charging me next month for the full price. I will be filing a chargeback on my credit card.

The staff members working the front are generally quite nice but that’s really the only positive here. Otherwise it’s just recurring revenue bait for a mediocre service, like many things these days.

The wash leaves bodywork indeed very shiny but the brushes do not get enough time to properly clean and often miss spots in crevices and rarely cleans glass properly. Even after a rewash there’s still areas where the brushes visibly grazed but didn’t actually contact enough to clean.

Only the top-tier mint professional plan actually gives the «unlimited washes» they broadly advertise. Otherwise you are limited to one per day and 12 per month, which they don’t disclose anywhere on their plan pages during promos, you have to actually read through T&C.

The plans are also locked to ONE CAR which they also don’t disclose anywhere other than in the fine print. Bought a membership because I own multiple vehicles and thought it would cover me as a user but nope.

Don’t fall for the bait like I did. Read the fine print, with ANY subscription-model service.

I had a fantastic experience at Mint Smart Wash! I want to give a special shoutout to Solomon, one of the staff members who truly went above and beyond. He took the time to thoroughly explain the entire wash process to me, answered all my questions with patience, and made sure I felt comfortable with everything. I also observed how hardworking and attentive he was with other customers—he truly stood out for his professionalism and dedication.

You must be completely disconnected from the actual wash process if you don’t see the issue. The fact that the car wash is busy likely has more to do with marketing than with the quality of the service — because the wash itself is poor.

Even after going through a second time, there were still untouched spots on my car. I’ve tried it with both a minivan and an SUV, and there’s no difference — the results are equally bad.

I was a member, but I canceled due to the consistently low quality. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and actually addressed.

Visited this car wash once skeptical of the touch brushing system, left with scratches all along my car.

When I reported it to the manager, he assured an investigation of the incident would be made, and as long as I did not enter the wash with the damage previously, it would be taken care of. What I received? An email stating the incident was «thoroughly roughly reviewed» and attachments of photos of my car entering with no damage and a photo of A DIFFERENT CAR exiting claiming that the car exited with no damage…

I went in person to speak with the manager and was assured the case would be reopened and I would get a call back the next day and I have heard nothing since…

Best car wash in the city ! Worth the drive cause my car is always looking clean after. Having the hand dryer is an added bonus makes the drying process a lot easier.

I come here around once a month, and this time I went the wash did not clean properly. I brought it up to the worker named Chris, and he dismissed my claim. He is saying there’s nothing he can do, and there’s no free washes. Even though I paid money, this car wash is hit or miss. Only go if you want to take a risk of your car not being washed fully and the company not acknowledging that there is an issue with their machine and fixing the problem. I suggest Coop car wash instead!

Probably the best car wash I’ve ever been too, and I love washing my car. Place was clean, had more options that even I knew what to do with. Hands down if you want a good quality wash, this is the place to go.

Best place for a carwash. Lots of bay for wand wash and lots of options. I love the free under carriage wash when you enter the wand wash bay. They even have a soft touch and touch less automatic wash.

I have never reviewed a Car Wash service ever but this one is by far the best one I’ve experienced yet. Their products, I’ve noticed, works extremely well. The wand wash is extremely well-equipment with the most important undercarriage wand. Additionally, I was rather impressed by their shampoo-vacuum for the carpets, excellent !!
However, the Turbo dryer could use a bit more air pressure in my personal opinion.
Beyond satisfied using this carwash after coming across the adverts on instagram. Best carwash in Calgary hands down!

Best car wash in the city I’ve been to many but this one is always a favourite

$22 wash, car comes out wet and dirty.
First time here, was hoping to find a car wash I can ‘subscribe’ to. Opted for the most expensive soft touch car wash to give it a try. From a soft touch, I’m expecting the car to come out CLEAN, cleaner than I’d expect from a touchless. But the results from this soft touch are appalling. The drier in the end did not dry the car at all, came out wet and dirty. I’ve never had a worse experience, and I usually go for touchless options that are cheaper and don’t clean perfectly but still much better than this.

Very disappointed with this car wash. I paid $13.50, which is almost double what I usually pay elsewhere ($7–8), and the result was terrible. After the wash, I parked to dry the car and noticed it was still covered in fine dust. Clearly, the wash didn’t clean the car properly, and wiping it dry could scratch the paint.

The prices are too high for such poor quality — weak water pressure and ineffective cleaning products. I won’t be coming back and don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Not sure If it’s under new ownership but I’ll never take my car back to this wash. Been taking our cars there often for 10 years. I’m washing my car with a hand pit instead of their dirty brush and buddy comes to tell me it’s not allowed, and to go to another car wash if I want to do that. There was no line up. If there was I’d understand. He said the time has to be running. Anyone with a brain. Knows not to use those brushes as it damages the paint. I suggest going to Mike Wide car wash or Kings car wash where they don’t bother you.

Came here to vacuum my car and then spray it down hit stop on the machine and it charged my card 25$ when I only used 5$ . Tapped card again to wash my car and used 7$ hit stop on machine like it says and charged another 25$ with no correction back to my card. Also don’t use the clear coat protection. I literally paid over 1000$ to have my car ceramic coated and after I used that stupid clearcoat protectant my car has lost all it’s hydrophobic properties. Absolutely down right choked. 50$ taken opposed to 12$ on top of what it did to my ceramic coating is absolutely absurd. Avoid this car wash at all costs …

I was KICKED out from cleaning my car after FIVE minutes before I had to spray my car. Barely had time to clean the front seat

The person behind me asked how long and I informed I just was getting started, very rudly he told me to get out of alberta while cleaning. then went to the manager.
This harassment was rewarded by this business owner( a true Canadian shame)

The manager who REFUSED to give me his name only yelled at me and told me to leave.

I asked what I did wrong, where the signs were I was not able to deal my car at the car wash. I was pointed to a random sign with ZERO INFORMATION ABOUT ANY OF THIS and told I was in violation. when I asked why I was shown the sign as clearly not in any violation he then pointed the right to refuse service.
Therefore now I was refused service because of this business owners prejudice.
And for zero infraction.

The owner took up almost 15 minutes of my time in a heated debate in the outrageously most unprofessional manner possible.

Truly I hope he looses his business if he doesn’t care for this paying customer and yells at the people willing to pay and support his operation.

I wish he didn’t shy away from providing a name. With an ego that large and a disposition to displace inappropriate anger towards paying customers is DISAPPOINTING

This truly was the most disappointing experience I have ever had washing a car.

With word of mouth I will make sure all my friends and family are fully aware of these immoral business tactics.

There was zero apology offered and I guarantee I will never support this business again, and continue to share this story with any open ears.

I came to the car wash today tribal 45 assess there was maybe three or visit while I was recording car wash sign that will fit in simplest form hi Sir what season available although it only makes sense I should get out of my vehicle and walk to the office try to motivate the business to allow me to use their car wash. How inconvenient is that. Didn’t answer the phone. And seen no employees anywhere. So is it a open remote sight with no staff. No it’s not. As it has a small store and office. The customer service interactions is seriously lacking. Wasn’t impressed in the least.

Haven’t been here before but the touchless wash came in handy as I was passing by. Will try self serve next time.

Update the self serve had a lot of different accessories and convenient tap to pay and let the numbers run up by time. Very handy and will be back!

Was recommended Moe and Wash My Ride after a detail I had booked at another Shop was miss booked. Was super happy that was able to get fit in the next day, as I needed my truck for the weekend and wanted it looking new.

Very Very Friendly customer service definitely a 5 star rating on that, answered my questions on another project I’m working on and everything. Thank you for that guys.

When picking up my truck I was shown it and truck looked great, wasn’t until sitting in Deerfoot traffic that I started to notice some very noticeable areas that were not washed, The Trim piece on top of my radio, a few places on my passenger side door panel, nothing to major and really easy to touch up on my own. The major thing however was my passenger and driver side grab handles, the front side was wiped and cleaned but the inside part looks like it wasn’t touched. (Photo posted is a dash wipe from the inside of the driver handle).

Overall service was great, the few things missed I wouldn’t have expected from the top detailing package for 220$.

Unsure if I would recommend Wash My Ride.

My kids gave me a 300$ gift certificate for wash my ride, let me first say my Ford escape has been damaged in the hail storm of August 2024. I felt silly taking her to get detailed when she has so many dimples, especially when I saw a fancy sports car in the shop
I left the car and got it back about fourish hours later. Well she looks amazing, the back seats look brand new (I don’t have passengers in the back seats much) My escape looks like it was when I bought it in 2018. Very happy with the service.

These guys did amazing work I brought my 2008 civic in the other day for some interior detailing and was very impressed I’ve done plenty of my own but there to many hard to reach places and what not that these guys were able to clean.
The topper was the headlights restoration best work I’ve by far super clean and so much more clear.
I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone who needs interior or exterior cleaning.
I’ll definitely be returning here for future cleaning.

I brought in our Tahoe, that we use as a family vehicle, for cleaning and what an incredible job… I highly recommend Wash My Ride. I have 2 little kids and our backseat was a disaster – crumbs everything, salt on the carpet, etc. It was perfection upon pick up, and it looked brand new. All the carpets were shampooed and cleaned and looked phenomenal. They definitely went above and beyond. They also put on my new windshield wipers. Very customer service centric. I will definitely be going back. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

You took me as a walk in on a rainy Monday morning, back a month ago, to tint both driver and passenger window with ceramic!
I got pretty lucky that day and you treated me and my vehicle with respect and was fortunate enough to be in and out in a couple hrs!! I realize that this is not typical for scheduling and I want to make that clear.
Your installer did an awesome job and I admit I was a bit concerned when he told me «don’t roll your windows down for five days»….lol.
The quality of work is excellent and I am very happy

WMR did a fantastic job detailing my car and even accommodated the fact that I was in a bit of a rush. There was one minor issue after the detailing was completed, but they fixed it immediately and all was good. I will use their service again, and highly recommend their service.

One of the better carwashes in the city for self serve washes. Good size bays, good soap, decent pressure depending on how busy it is. 1+ bay is frequently blocked off causing pretty long back-ups on busy days, and the foam gun is useless most visits. (Very slow to produce soap, and hardly any pressure/consistency when it does)

Back here again, bought the full price top end great white express automatic wash for $18.11.
Had to go to the Chevron next door to clean my rear windows of soap then saw how shifty a wash the top end wash is. Took the squeegee to wash everything, front middle & rear of where the top end wash didn’t get.
Not worth the price, go with the basic.

The sprayer doesn’t take the dirt off and the brushes are out of service. I had to wash my semi with my glove. And all the guy said was oh ya that’s tough. I will never waste my time here again.

Wanted to do something nice and surprise my boyfriend for the weekend by washing his new civic type R. I was kinda worried at first because It was my first time here and I wasn’t too sure what to do. Thankfully an employee named Zach explained the process and answered all questions I had. Very professional and polite! The car came out great and I’m more than excited to show my boyfriend

Hands down the best wash in the city. Im on my 3rd great white pass. The value cant be beat. Others try but fail. Quality clean and even hits it with the tire shine…

I have zero clue why I’m paying for the top wash package, when it’s been an excuse after excuse after excuse as to why the tire shine doesn’t work. Shouldn’t take 11 months to fix something.. between here and mahogany, it’s an absolute joke.

Where’s the shine? That little smudge on 2 of the 4 tires.

Maybe have the pay by card guys go on the inside line up so that it doesn’t constantly clog the club side line up,while waiting for the credit card people to finger peck away at it for minutes on end.. give the club people the direct access we pay for please?

Very disappointed with my experience at Great White Car & Truck Wash. I paid $23 for an automatic car wash, but it didn’t clean my car properly at all. When I went back to address it, the staff warned me that going for a second wash might scratch my car – which felt more like a threat than a helpful suggestion. They gave me a $10 manual wash credit, but even that was cut short before I could finish cleaning my car. Overall, poor service, unprofessional behavior, and not worth the money. I won’t be coming back.

The car wash is great and I’ve been a client for a year now. There was just this one grumpy old man working as an attendant who just shouted at me. I never talked, never said a word at him, he just shouted and didn’t treat me with respect. All the other guys are cool. I hope you guys would be able to orient your people to give out a bit of good customer service to your clients by simply smiling and not being sarcastic. Thank you.

Really great, price right in line with the market but loved the quality, before and after was crazy, took care of an ugly scratch with a spot polish and also handled a bunch of sap that would not budge for the last year. Can’t believe they did everything in a day. The engine clean pictures attach were part of the gold package

I recently got my car detailed from this place and they did such an amazing job! I don’t even recognize my car . One thing is they do change extra for pet hair that I didn’t see mentioned online ( could have been small
Print I missed) but they were able to basically get it all out of my car !! I had a lot so was not expecting that. Would definitely recommend this place for detailing and will come back

I’m very impressed with happy bays. The ladies at the front, Kayleen and Katherine, We’re absolutely exceptional, From the moment of booking to the follow up, call at the beginning and the end of service. These ladies both did it with a smile and were very polite.

As for The cleaning of my vehicle, Vasyl, John and Gary, Didn’t absolutely immaculate job On the interior and exterior of the vehicle! I’m very thoroughly impressed, With the entire team, such great Brand ambassadors!

I have gone to Happy Bays multiple times to use the self-serve car wash bays. I have never had any issues and I have always been extremely satisfied.
Recently, I had my vehicle detailed by the staff, and I could not be happier with the result and service. Everyone was extremely helpful and they even over delivered by having the car ready earlier than anticipated. I cannot get over the freshly cleaned smell! Every detail was looked after and my car looks brand new again.

I could easily find this place with a little search and visited here for a simple car wash. The water pressure was sufficient and it was very easy to use the gun.

Just high pressure rinsing can give you a clean enough result and It’s especially good for winter because it even has a dry function.

The detail service area at the entrance also looks very clean compared to other shops, so I want to get a service next time. This is a small car wash, but it’s very attractive enough to recommend.

Good wash bay overall. Though I was quite disappointed with how pathetic the ‘hot’ blow dryer functioned. You literally had to hold it an inch away from the car to see any effect. And it blew cool air. Maybe they forgot what hot means?

I’ve been a regular customer at Nolan Hill Car Wash, usually getting the Rockies Wash for $17. This time, I opted for the Hills Wash at $22 (one of their premium options), and unfortunately, the wash ended up bending my side mirror and scratching it — something that’s never happened in previous visits. I’ve attached photos to show the damage.

While I understand there is a sign stating they are not responsible for damage, I feel a full refund would be more than fair in this situation. I’ve been to this location several times, and it’s disappointing that the most expensive wash caused the most damage.

I’m sharing this review to be transparent with other customers and in hopes that management will consider my concern seriously and reach out with a resolution.

My experience was good until there latest maintenance. Loads of scratches on my car, some of them are visible straight lines on the doors. Be very careful!!!

I regularly go here for wash. The car wash is great and the services is also really good. Usually wash my car in the bay as I like to do the coating myself. I used to have the membership when it was $25/month for 1wash/per week. Not a fan of the new plans

Good self car wash, haven’t used the auto tunnel so not sure. But the diy car wash is good. Spacious bays, proper pressure and other chemicals. The pre-authorized amount is something I didn’t expect but all worked out.

Seems to be called Shell Car Wash now, no longer wash king? The facilities and bays are very nice and clean.. great pressure at the nozzle. No foaming wax that I could see?

The overall process is a bit weird.. you just drive in (no tickets or anything), and there is no pay option in the bays you just start washing.. then you drive out to a kiosk before the exit door and they just ask how many minutes you took? Super strange.. maybe would add some posters to remind people to track their start and stop times.

Very clean and well maintained. Very large self serve bays and they even have compressed air! However pretty expensive plus the lines never cleared of soap for my spot free rinse and after a few minutes of waiting ($2.50 to wait for clean water?) I switched to normal rinse and I still had to do 1/4 of my car to get fully clean water. It would be much better if not for that.

Stumbled upon this car wash today when my car desperately needed to be cleaned. Very pleased with this place. Nothing fancy but just equipment that works, isn’t dripping water, or in poor condition. Girls at the counter were super nice.I’ll be coming here again!

Probably the best self serve car wash Calgary, possibly western Canada. Clean, warm, was open yesterday in -36 (they call it the Wash King for a reason given this level of ultimate reliability no matter what!). Those in the know will love it has foam cannons and compressed air. Staff and managers are super friendly, accommodating and attentive. This facility is a rare gem, ideal for people looking for a high-end facility and experience.

I had my car washed yesterday at a local car wash and was extremely disappointed with the results. This was my first time using their services, and it will definitely be my last. Not only was the service expensive, but to top it off, my brand new SUV was scratched during the wash.

I was shocked and upset when I noticed the scratches on my car after leaving the car wash. I couldn’t believe that a simple car wash had caused such damage to my vehicle. It was clear that the employees at the car wash were not taking the proper precautions to ensure that customers’ cars were cared for properly.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received and would never recommend this car wash to anyone. It is unacceptable to pay a high price for a service only to have your car damaged in the process. I hope that others can learn from my experience and avoid using this place at all costs.

Owned by Shell now. Self car wash is expensive spent 20+ $ for one visit and not happy with pricing, your time starts once you enter wash one minute is free thanks for that but that’s only enough to set you up for your washing cycle, did everything in rush, soap+foam-brush can’t remove bugs, left car wash with water spots.

This is my go to spot for lavishing my cars. I have found this fine car washing establishment to meet all my needs. I absolutely love the large bays with which to detail and clean your vehicle. The ample pressure from the wash wand, and the vacuum absolutely sucks!! (In the good way) Lol

The team at Wash King keep the bays in great shape and are always welcoming to customers. Highly recommend if in need of a high quality experience
