Went to memory express recently to buy a new computer, Rhett helped me pick all the parts I needed and was super patient and very knowledgeable. He went through videos, showed me the difference between brands, overall it was a great experience and left me feeling really confident about my purchase.

I’m SO HAPPY with my pc and would definitely come back in the future for upgrades or any other tech related items I may need down the line.

After 5 years without upgrading, I decided it was time to embrace the latest and greatest hardware for a new system build. After stopping by Memory Express SE location, I met with a sales rep named Rhett. We talked about the build for at least 45 minutes and with his help we picked out the perfect parts to make this system come to life! Amazing support and advice along the way. For anyone looking to get real advice and support from people that know what is going on in the market, I would 100% recommend Memory Express! If you can make it to the SE location, I would give a shout out to Rhett for outstanding customer support and help during the build process!

Rhett helped me build a custom PC as a surprise for my husband. I had done a lot of research to learn about building a PC and what I needed from it. I was very inexperienced and Rhett was able to go over things with me to ensure I understood the pros and cons of each part. Rhett made some great suggestions for the build and now I can honestly say this first PC build is a gamers dream. The PC was built faster than expected and as promised the prices were unbeatable.

I was super excited when Rhett called me back the same week to let me know the PC was ready for pick up. Daniel helped check this beast out and we were well on our way.

During my shopping experience I was also able to observe several other staff members and the management team dealing with busy holiday shoppers that were sometimes less than kind. This is a well run establishment and Memory Express will forever have my business.

An amazing experience!!! The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, the best part is if they didn’t have an answer they found not only an answer but the right one while assisting to build my new system and work through any issues that may have arose. There were a couple bumps along the way and they followed up and followed through in all cases achieving my trust and confidence in the process. There was even a follow up a couple weeks afterwards to ensure everything was good. You can not get such customer service inclusive of accountability and communication like this anymore, worth every penny. Best store in the city – got some parts to build a couple of PCs and unfortunately the AIO pump was bad from the factory, brought it in and got it exchanged which was no trouble at all – since I felt comfortable enough we were able to work on a table in the store to install the new one right away and booted it up just to ensure the pump was working.
Seriously thank you so much for letting me use your store for a couple hours to change / return and then install the new part – 2 very happy people today because of it 🙂

Purchased laptop battery from memory express, installation charges for Laptop battery is $55 per hour and minimum two hours, It will take 3 to 5 days

and for rush it is $80 per hour and minimum two hours, it will take one day.

So I got the laptop battery installed from local technician Calgary South, work done in 15 minutes for $25.

I went in for a 4 TB laptop drive upgrade and 64 gb ram upgrade. I was told 3-5 business days. I paid extra for priority fix as i run my side business off my laptop. Staff was great. They told me 1-2 business days for priority paid price… the called me in a hour and said it was done!!! Amazing work guys. Love this shop!

I was completely frustrated with the store and its service.
Firstly, it was difficult to understand where the entrance was. The entrance is not obvious, and there is a lack of its signs.

Secondly, I came to the store as previously in this branch I had a positive experience, but that was another store, and I came to choose a mouse.

Thirdly, all of the equipment was closed on the shelfs. I felt myself as I was in the US and I was a thief.
There were a few mice but they were sticked to the plate. How they suppose that a customer should feel it if its not mooving??

The service is awful: no one has come and asked about my needs. I was frustrated, turned around and when almost came out, some guy on a cashier waived his hand and asked whether I needed help or something. I was so angry and mad that I didn’t need his help anymore.

In conclusion: the service is bad, and the most awful that all items are in the cases, gates, under the bars, no options to see, touch or feel an item.

They’d rather hide all monitors and screens on boxes if they are afraid of stealing, damaging etc.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this store.

Bought a pro z790-s wifi msi board and a cpu cooler today. Employee was absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. I wanted budget parts so, Very much appreciated being given budget options instead of being upsold. As a small female I also appreciated not being talked down to or being treated like I’m stupid despite my questions. Dylan F was phenomenal and I hope he gets the credit.

I haven’t been at this location before so within the first 1-2 steps I was overwhelmed with the amount of stock that was available compared to other locations. Within my 3rd-4th step Michael spotted me and asked if I needed help looking for anything.

I work in construction and had a long day, so having someone that was knowledgeable, quick, personable, and efficient gave me the best possible experience I could have asked for. I was in and out not only with the items I was coming in the store for but with more information about my products. I’ll be returning to this location in the future.

Went in unsure what I was looking for, been without a desktop for 15years. David immediately introduced himself and I explained my situation. Not only did he give me new insights to all the new tech, but he also ran by different ideas.

In the end we settled on custom build and I couldn’t be happier. I look forward to setting it all up. I highly recommend David, for his understanding and knowledge. I’ll definitely return should I need anything in the future. I’ll also pass along recommendations to friends to visit him and the store.

Upon entry I was pleasantly greeted as per usual by excellent staff members who excelled at being human beings.

Being a Canadian company as well also inspires me to buy their products and take their recommendations genuinely and with meaningful grace.

Not only was I provided excellent assistance from the beginning while looking for a particular product that they did not have access to, I was still greeted and guided for everything I needed in the most professional and empathetic manner that I could hope for from a Canadian retail location.

All other staff members are more than just simply staff. They are people who truly have interest in desires in the products they sell and the services they provide.

And they also acknowledge that their customers are people just like them. So they take the time to make sure that you know what you’re looking for, even if you’re not entirely sure.

The store and employees and management all collaborate to make sure that the experience is meaningful for the customer or guest.

Not only was I helped by four incredible service team members today, even though I jumped between them, it was like they all knew how to continue the conversation in the way that mattered. There wasn’t a disjoint or disconnect between helping each other when the lines were long and making sure that service was communicated properly.

I went in looking for a new laptop after I busted mine. I’m not tech savvy at all but Kody was patient and explained the laptop specs in simple language for me without being condescending. Austen helped me custom build my new gaming PC for MSFS 2024. He was incredibly patient and helped me pick out what I needed without going overboard and what would be the best bang for my buck. When the processor was not available he also followed up with me when it came in stock and kept me in the loop. Great service from the team and especially Austen.

When we tried to upgrade our main streaming PC, some guy at the hardware desk spent all his time trying to prove we didn’t need to. Then repeated the same arguments to my employee, in a way that made her uncomfortable, when she was just trying to pick it up a week later.

This happened a few years ago but I can’t see this place without it pissing me off, hence the late review.

I just want to say that the staff are super nice at this store and make for a great experience when looking for camera rentals. Before I went to the store I talked to Elena on the phone. She was incredibly friendly and was patient with all of my questions. She was knowledgeable regarding the camera I was inquiring about and gave suggestions about alternatives. When I eventually came down to the store, I was greeted by other staff (can’t remember his name) who was also very helpful. Overall, a very good experience at this location and I will be returning in the future.

The customer service in their rental department is very good! With most recent rental, Elena was very friendly and professional about what we might needed for my first short film; she was very helpful in helping us pick out some lenses that we might need according to our vision of the project that we wanted, as I not very experienced with equipment.

I was very satisfied with my experience today. Other stores in the city will treat you like a nuisance and rush you out the door as soon as possible. We bought a Frigidaire refrigerator and had issue with the temperature and technician was sent the next day now after only a week it’s beeping non stop and the Fridge isn’t cold I tried calling SMS to get a tech to come out first I didn’t get an answer. Then they text message me asking me to unplug it o as if it’s easy to move. Also make sure if the door is closed properly, which doesn’t take a genius. The door was closed, but it was still beeping Then promised that I would get a call back shortly and waited for three hours no call so far not impressed with the bad customer service

Delivery was very smooth , the guys were friendly , knowledgeable, and did a great job . Looking forward to using the new appliances. Very happy !

The fridge/freezer we bought stopped working 2wks after installing. SMS arranged for a technician to repair the unit but he was unable to fix it so we coordinated with SMS a replacement.
SMS were very good to deal with and brought out a suitable replacement within 2days.

May not have things for older tech, but have all the modern stuff you need. I’ve gone here consistently to buy anything tech related. I love the staff here, very patient, attentive, and helpful! They do their best for customers. Super helpful with warranty and returns. Love this best buy. I think over the years I’ve spent $2,000 here. I definitely trust this location with my money and tech. The only products I wouldn’t recommend is Razor brand. But I’ve gotten everything from goPros to a VR headset.

This Best Buy is my favourite location in the city because of their staff, particularly Isaac. He is fantastic! Super patient, friendly, approachable, and will go above and beyond to meet your needs to ensure you have the best experience possible. We went to Best Buy today in search of a new printer. We dealt with Hassan he was friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time to go over several different brands and models. We ended up buying a new printer from them today because of the service we received. I hope management sees this and encourages Hassan to continue to do a great job.

Appreciate the service provided by Sahil; asked him about a device that we did not end up purchasing since the color was not to our taste, however the conversation moved to another device that we had been contemplating which after researching on the spot with him we decided to purchase.

I wasn’t sure what I was looking for, but wanted to upgrade the factory stereo. He explained everything perfectly & didn’t try to upgrade us on a system we didn’t need. The whole process was easy & worry-free, at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend this place, the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I updated my car audio system at this location. First let me tell you about Ryan, the audio specialist. This man went out of his way to try to put all the pieces together for an audio system within my budget and with in stock components. He was absolutely amazing and helpful and pretty knowledgeable with what he’s doing.

The installation guys were pretty chill and straight to business. They did a fantastic job installing the audio system and trim to my Ford F-150. The finishing was great and everything went as described.

I highly recommend this location if you’re looking for dealing with honest ppl and getting the best prices. I have been quoted in other several places for higher than what I got here, given the same components. They also have a policy of 15% discount that would beat any other offer you have!

I recently bought a TV and the Sales guy Garret was very helpful and patient to assist me with everything I ask. And he is not the type that forces you with decisions just to sell.

July 2nd I went there to check it out. I got offered to switch my phone plan. So I did, I was also offered a new device as a trade in but I asked if I could come in tomorrow morning to do all that, I got the ok from the previous person who helped me to get my device traded in and upgraded. July 3rd I come in, I got told I have to wait a whole month before I could upgrade. Talk about misinformation. I went back in for nothing. Yesterday’s service was great but today? Not so great as the employee’s this morning on July 3rd were not helpful at all. I expected a smile like yesterday but no… No smiles this morning at all. Thus I give a 1 star review.

My computer died while I was attending school at SAIT and I went to Openbox because it was the most convenient location. When my laptop broke, this was a location suggested to me. Honestly the customer service was amazing. They were very understanding of my need for a rush order and did a great job repairing my Acer’s motherboard. They even offered a loan laptop while mine was still in repair. Although the service is a little bit pricey, the student discount is a big help. Thank you to Nathan and Ali for their work.

I was fortunate enough to come in at a time when there wasn’t much foot traffic, and I had the pleasure of meeting two of the most incredible customer service front desk agents I’ve ever met.

I got to meet Mike and DeRay, who both bring vast amounts of experience and acknowledge from their respective backgrounds and former years of work.

Mike took me up at first when I was looking around kind of cluelessly and trying to figure out what I need to help with.

Not only was he incredibly professional and able to help me figure out what I was looking for, he also let me know that it’s important that ultimately liability is a huge factor. In respect to this, I made sure to be careful with my wording and not give too much information nor cause any commotion.
I truly appreciated Mike being so forthcoming about it and being such a good wholesome professional.
Not only does he have years of experience in this field, he brings the ability to make things easy to understand and fun to learn.

DeRay also proved to be an incredible and assist and professional customer service agent in this process.

He was able to help me figure out a few more aspects when I wasn’t able to get a hold of Mike as there were occasional customers even though it was fairly low on traffic.

Both of them together have proven to be in immeasurable combination that works together and brings the best of people knowing things that help people in a way that is comprehensive and meaningful.

I truly appreciate both Mike and DeRay, as not only have they shown how good people can be, they’ve also shown how the right people in the right roles can make a world of difference for everyone.

They might want to review their hiring practices. It took every bit of energy for the young guy at the counter just to raise his chin off his hand to acknowledge me. Then, was completely dismissive of my issue and put zero effort in to help me find an alternative to work through my problem. I came up with a possible solution and he just snickered as he gladly took my $17. If you need help there, ask someone who is awake and had their hat on the right way.

I usually make purchases through the local branch of B&E, but this time I ordered some epoxy from the Calgary office. While I was initially concerned about potential delays in our production schedule, I received the order faster than expected. Excellent customer service and a reliable supplier. Thank you, Chase and the B&E team!

Ordered a tool bag, called in later in the day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not used to a friendly voice on the phone as much these days so it was a nice surprise. They sent me a follow up email that the item has been shipped which was nice. Will shop here again.

Nothing is priced which was a bit frustrating, stopped some impulse shopping, but we did leave with everything we came for. AMAZING selection, I bet you would be hard pressed to need something and it not be found here. Definitely worth the visit to top up your supplies, and a must-go for the hard to find items. Top notch brands, and lots of good quality tooling available as well.

Power surge killed our 24V/30W transformer. Did online search and found B&E Electronics had the same type of transformer in stock. Put in an order online on Tuesday and received the delivery in Victoria three days later. Their service was excellent from order confirmation to packaging to shipping information to package delivery.
