I can’t say enough good things about my experience working with Christine at Jensen Fitness!
I have been working with Christine virtually for over a year now and have learnt so much from her. I love having all of my workouts planned out and personalized for me, all I had to do was show up to the gym and execute.
Having Christine as a coach has made it easy to stay accountable and complete my workouts every week. Christine is so prompt in answering questions, and is incredibly experienced and knowledgeable when it comes to fitness and diet.
When I started the program, I was 6 months post hip surgery and I credit Christine’s coaching and personalized programming for helping me recover. With Christine’s help I now feel stronger than ever – we have built muscle, improved my flexibility and mobility, improved my posture and lost fat.

I’m not sure whether to give Jensen a terrible review or an amazing one! I want to tell you all it’s terrible so we can keep the gym all to ourselves… BECAUSE ITS SO AWESOME!
Have you ever walked into a gym without any idea what to do? Or maybe you had a specific workout you wanted to try but the machines you need are all busy with other people?
We have… Jensen removed all that uncertainty for us. It’s amazing to show up and have a workout already selected for the day AND the only other people in the gym are being trained by the staff… No more mental energy spent on planning what to do or if you’re even doing it right!

Our Story:
We started training here in March 2022 with Keana (who is also a Kenisiologist). Right from the start she’s been so professional and also personal. She’s been so great at helping us continually reach new workout goals and live the lifestyle we want to live so that when we get older we are still fit!
Each workout is tailer made for us as individuals based on our goals and bodies. Keana is great at setting up workouts that are enough routine to enjoy but different enough that your body doesn’t always do the same motions day in and day out.
When we started here my heaviest bench press was just around 150lb, I’m now over 200lb!
I’ve also swapped over 10lb of fat for muscle and feel great!
We definitely recommend you take the plunge and go with Jensen Fitness and Keana. We can’t say enough about them.

I cannot recommend Connect enough! I started coming 6 months ago after having recurrent back injuries which were preventing me from exercising and even at times functioning day to day. I started with Jeff and Dr. Robinson and immediately started to have relief. I continued with Connect and am now doing group fitness training three times a week and it has been a game changer for me. I’ve learned so much about how to exercise and I’ve already seen improvements. I have not had another back injury since starting. Could not recommend connect enough, I’ve been attending group fitness at connect 3x a week for the past 10 weeks & it’s honestly been a game-changer. The experience here has completely transformed my fitness journey in ways I didn’t expect both physically and mentally.
First, the group sizes are smaller than traditional gyms, which I absolutely love. It creates a more intimate and personalized atmosphere, and the sense of community is amazing. Everyone is so supportive, and it’s really motivating to train alongside people who encourage each other.
Jeff, my trainer, is incredible. He’s always there to guide me through the workouts, offering encouragement and making sure my form is on point. The workouts are genuinely tailored to each individual; we track the weights we use for specific exercises, and Jeff is great at modifying them if needed to suit personal needs.
The gym itself is beautiful—clean, well-maintained, and filled with new, cool equipment. Every workout feels unique and exciting, thanks to the variety of equipment and exercises Jeff incorporates into the routine. I’m never bored!
Nicole, who works evenings at the front desk, is the absolute sweetest and
is so welcoming when I’m coming in for a workout.
One last thing that stands out is how well-stocked the bathrooms are with all of my favorite Saje products, which is a small but thoughtful touch that really adds to the experience. Plus, there’s always plenty of parking, which makes getting in and out so easy.

I can’t recommend the Postnatal Foundations class at Connect Performance enough! I took it twice—first with Rachelle at 2 months postpartum, then again with Alex at 6 months—and both were amazing. The class helped me safely ease back into working out, taught me how to properly engage my pelvic floor while exercising, and gave me a chance to meet other moms. Plus, getting to bring my baby along made it so much easier. A huge bonus: the classes are covered by physio benefits. I’m free! Been going to this club since it was World Health over in Sunridge and we were forced over to GYMVMT. Moving away so no longer staying here out of complacency and honestly my price was overpriced since I started, thanks a lot Roxy!
It’s kinda a meh gym honestly. Kim and the front desk gals are always fantastic. The owner is dreadful to deal with, ugh just the worst customer service you could ever imagine from that guy.
They are obsessed with shoes, even removed part of the floor for a big shoe area. I had one trainer raise his voice, as apparently yelling is too much a phrase according to an assistant manager over not taking my shoes off immediately when entering. I was literally bending over to take them off before the guy started going off on me, standing on the entrance mats, I don’t think that trainer welcomes people anymore.
The prices constantly raise for silly things such as touch pads or other changes that they later remove because people don’t use them. They raise it a dollar every year now, despite a ten plus year old plan I was paying a single dollar less than someone walking off the street.
I lost features coming here, males aren’t allowed access to the fitness classes. No Zumba or group sessions for I when we got pushed over. They never upgraded the equipment as noted when the change happened. The start here was super rough as it was a big awkward work in progress. The showers barely ever have water pressure and the sauna patron dressing there made me give up on it.
One time there was blood in the showers but they only had a single desk lady working so no one could do much, felt bad but let them know quietly. Another time recently guys were shirtless filming each other working out on equipment and the desk lady was by herself so no one could do anything. Just kinda eww, they could have at least wiped down the equipment after. It’s just sorta unsanitary and weird, right?
The interior is a mix of modern and aged elements. The women only area is shoved to the back darkness and the mixed area takes a fair amount of space. I typically didn’t have to wait for equipment outside of the machines that could get busy at times. The equipment would often be broken, but fixed fairly quickly as that fixing team was always at work and friendly.
Like it’s an okay gym; when things went smooth it was just a space I existed in, but I think you can do better, for better value. The front desk ladies are always helpful and do their best. They didn’t care when I said good bye forever, but who would I guess. Maybe Kim if she was there at that time, Kim is great. Oh, and they churn through staff and trainers like crazy. Just ya, i’ve seen things here over the years. Glad to be free and look forward to the next step in my fitness journey.

Great little gym but drop-in fee is pretty high ($23 per person per visit). Would be great if there were drop in bundles – like three days or one week of drop-ins for folks just visiting and needing a place to workout. Gym is pretty small but they make great use of the space and have almost all the equipment you need. Really really quiet between 6-7 which is nice.

I love my workouts with coach Jhes! She is motivating and encouraging, while still pushing me to give my best every time. My wife Patricia and I were looing for a gym and personal training to help us get back in shape, now that we’re retired. Age & Covid has some negative effects. We stumbled across 2110, a facility close to where we live which made it easy for us to commit. Corey is our trainer and he’s absolutely fantastic. Stu and Jess are super friendly as well. These guys know their stuff. Corey is bringing us along perfectly and after a month we are already noting some significant improvements in mobility, flexibility and strength. They have lots of equipment that we’re gradually working through. They conducted an initial assessment to ascertain body fat, etc. (not pretty), but every week we go, we’re seeing improvement and are continuing our journey. After all, we really want to enjoy a nice long and happy retirement! Thanks guys. You’re really great at what you do!

Ive gone to many gyms in the past and they’ve all seemed like a boys club. You’re either part of it or your not.

I began going to Torch almost three years ago when my husband and I moved to Calgary. I absolutely love the intensity of the workouts! I find it a great cross training for running, and within the first year, I shaved almost 15 min off my 15 km run time! Aaron is a very knowledgeable trainer, and has a wealth of experience. I started going to Torch Fitness at the end of 2012. It is by far the longest I have ever stayed with a gym or workout place. The workouts are never the same twice so you never get bored. Even if you go several days in a row the trainers will develop workouts just for you to make sure you work out different muscle groups and don’t hurt yourself. With the small class sizes and the basically personalized workouts you feel like you have a personal trainer all to yourself.
The atmosphere at Torch Fitness is amazing and all the other people that are with you in your class are great! There are a lot of workouts where you work with a partner and everyone is always cheering you on and helping you out when they’re not out of breath. Just a great place to be!
Torch Fitness has amazing trainers that actually care about you and getting you healthy. They have the most up to date techniques and they help push you so that you can achieve your peak performance. I would recommend these guys in a heartbeat to anyone who is trying to get in the best shape of their life the fastest way they can without hurting or damaging their body in the process.

I was referred to Torch to do a 4 week challenge by a friend. I normally play volleyball 2x a week on top of my workout schedule so time constraint was a huge obstacle during this challenge for me.
I felt the first week of the challenge was quite easy and I didn’t feel like I was getting much added value from Torch, but once Aaron and Jill were comfortable with my form and how I was performing, they increased the difficulty and weight and I enjoyed it much more!
The class is typically structured with weight training and then their ‘blasts’ (the circuit portion – always the most challenging part of the class for me, but the most fun!). The rest of the challenge was incredibly helpful and fun for me. The blasts were tough and I felt like I was really pushing myself without the muscle fatigue that I have experienced in previous fitness classes, which allowed me to train more often. I feel like I have gained a ton of new knowledge and technique and I am excited to incorporate them into my workouts.
I also really enjoyed the Olympic Lifting classes they offer. I’ve done some power cleans, but I’ve never been comfortable enough to try snatches. Aaron offered amazing introduction to the snatch, always corrected my form when he saw it needed improvement, and gave me incredibly helpful tips.
The class sizes are small, so every class feels like a personal training session. Aaron, Jill, and Kayla are so great with answering questions and encouraging you to give it your all without risking injury. Since the class sizes are small, I often saw the same people every time I went to Torch, so it was nice to build those relationships during my time at Torch. Everyone was always incredibly welcoming and offered tips if they saw me doing an exercise incorrectly.

I joined Torch over 2 years ago after one of the challenges and I am amazed at Aaron’s creativity and knowledge. In that time I have never done the same workout twice it’s always changing and evolving. Even after I tore my ACL skiing I never missed a workout, Aaron was able to modify my workout to help rehab my knee but still challenge me with an intense heart pounding sessions. I was back to regular workouts by 6 weeks and I continue to build strength and stability. Torch workouts are unique and tough and I have seen amazing gains in strength and endurance.

I have been training at Renegade for over three years, with Justine as my trainer for nearly the entire duration. This place is actually amazing, you have to see it. They’ve got everything you could want for training including full rack setups, barbells, dumbbells, cables, a deadlift platform (really wish this was more common) and all the machines you’d find in a quality gym. For groups too they’ve got turf, ropes, kettlebells, medicine balls you name it. And nice areas for warming up which my gym didn’t have and why I left.
Then, as a trainer, they really stand out. They have a really nice separate area for trainers to do our consultations and chill between training clients, along with a one way mirror so you can monitor your clients or groups as they work or come in.
Just check out their website to get an idea and give them a call, it’s super easy to register and book time. Devin and Daryl are both studs so it’s a good experience just being there, it’s pretty motivating.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Paul Anthony at Dreambody in Calgary. After paying over $6,000 for a 6-month program (not including hidden fees), I expected personalized attention and guidance, but that was far from what I received. The nutrition plan was a basic copy of the Isogenics diet, and the workout plans were generic templates divided into stages 1, 2, and 3—not tailored to my needs or fitness level at all.
Every client is different, and a good trainer should understand that. I explained to Paul early on that I’m motivated by positive reinforcement, but this wasn’t his style. Instead, I was met with constant negative comments that left me feeling deflated. He even tried to force my body to perform techniques that I simply couldn’t do due to my L4-L5-S1 spine, which no longer has the mobility required for those movements. His lack of understanding and disregard for my individual limitations was not only frustrating but unsafe.
Over the course of four months, I didn’t have a single weigh-in or progress update. The sessions themselves were only three days a week—roughly 15 days a month—which made the lack of communication and personalization even more frustrating. By the third month, I was barely attending because I felt worse going to his gym than I did working out at home.
Paul also promotes himself as a top posing coach, but I later learned from other competitors and coaches that he had been coaching me incorrectly for my class. His attention seems to go only to clients he thinks will make him look good, and the rest are left on autopilot.
To top it off, his social media presence is more about self-promotion than client support, with constant videos of himself or clients pressured into praising him on Instagram.
I can’t recommend Paul Anthony or Dreambody. The lack of customization, unprofessional attitude, and disregard for my needs left me feeling worse than when I started. Save your time, money, and energy.
